This is so timely. I just deleted my blog account because I realized it became an idol and seriously distracted me from my relationship with Christ. I'm grateful for the encouragement of this episode.
i've been listening to Desiring God (Ask Pastor John) episodes for years now... very informative especially when I tend to seek answers to my life's questions. Thank you to your team! :) God bless you more. -Lor, 35, Philippines
Such an important message, I think we can fall into the sin of pride so easily with selfies/self-centered expression being very popular these days. God is greater, his love and his sovereignty deserve much more focus in our lives than ourselves. Thanks for the podcast

The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land-- not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD. Amos 8:11
Hi! I've been struggling with social media addiction for about a year now. I decided to put a time limit every single day (although I didn't accomplish it every day) I really wanted to know if 3hrs a day on social media is fine for me. I also decided that I'll put more time reading the bible more.
Has the world ever been different? Noah would laugh at what we are considering intolerable. Abraham visited Sodom and he too would laugh. The world has always been the world and we as Christians shouldn’t be shocked by the evil in the World. Nobody knows the day or time Jesus will return, maybe it’s the end times or maybe we have 50 more years. Always live ready.
