There are a lot of important issues at stake at the moment and it is important that everyone who votes makes an informed decision and not just be another vote for some pundit they happened to hear.

      'Inspiring' nothing. His message was to vote the way he wants you to or you're letting the 'bad guys' win. He doesn't even have anything nice to say about the side he favors, they're awful but not as awful as the real 'bad guys'. It's a divisive and unhelpful message that simply adds unnecessarily to the hostility found on all sides of political debate, while making a token pass a balance because "ha ha, look I'm self-depreciating, ha ha game jokes I could be talking about anyone, ha ha I'm clever." It further drives people deeper into a corner regarding their thoughts and actions by taking away yet another place where you can unwind from all this crap without being preached at by a sanctimonious asshole.

    • @ammotorsport9480
      @ammotorsport9480 6 лет назад

      voting is not a civic duty. Its a freedom and right to which everyone (in the US) has the CHOICE to do or not do.

    • @lemaitredutemp
      @lemaitredutemp 6 лет назад

      @@ammotorsport9480 it should be a civic duty to everyone because not voting is the same as saying that you dont care about your children's future

    • @ammotorsport9480
      @ammotorsport9480 6 лет назад

      @@lemaitredutemp - Jury duty is a civic duty. There is no choice. If you are able and you choose NOT to do it when called, you will get fined and or imprisoned. Voting doesn't work that way.
      I dont care about my children's future... bc I dont have children and likely never will. :) Kidding mostly...
      All cynicism aside... For reference, I did vote. (Mixed ticket - registered Independent.) I'm not arguing against the importance of voting. (It IS an important thing to do.) However, blind voting or voting for either party carte-blanche (in a broken two-party system that does NOT have the general public's welfare of interest) without knowing what the individual candidate stands for is WORSE than not voting.
      In the same way... *Pushing others to vote for people or subjects that they are not educated on* is how we got into the political debacle we're in now. Both republicans and democrats pushing uneducated voters to vote for people and on topics they aren't even knowledgeable about. If you aren't educated on the people and the topics, you should NOT vote. Period. There is no mystical DUTY that requires people to vote or even care about politics and current events outside of their daily lives. Its a choice. Same as there is no duty to educate yourself or make a good life for you and those you care about. Its a freedom and a choice. Choose to educate yourself or dont.
      Instead of telling people to GO VOTE, he should have told everyone YESTERDAY to take the day and educate themselves on current topics in their local government being voted on and which candidates are most likely to enact on those things. THEN go vote today. Vote for CANDIDATES, MORALS, and ISSUES. NOT PARTIES.

    • @dunmatta2670
      @dunmatta2670 6 лет назад

      AM Motorsport Talk about hypocrisy. You say it’s a choice to vote so they don’t need to vote but should rather educate themselves even though that too is a choice that you said they don’t need to do. Look when you live in this country, you abide by the laws, pay your taxes, and represent your country. You don’t have to abide by these things but you'll face the consequences by choosing that route. Voting is no different than all those aforementioned civic duties so what’s the difference? That there are no direct consequences to not voting? That’s just asinine and you’re really reaching there. Civic duty or not, educated or not, get involved and vote. Many people have died to defend this right.

    • @ammotorsport9480
      @ammotorsport9480 6 лет назад

      @@dunmatta2670 - I never said anyone didn't need to vote. My point was to educate yourself on WHO and WHAT you're voting for before voting. The hypocrisy is voting blindly for a party then complaining when they do something you dont like.

      I'm no expert on US elections but it seems that the mid-terms are kinda like an Australian election during a double dissolution, they're voting for their Senators and House of Representatives, the main difference is that the President can't change since they don't come into power through the House of Representatives like they do here.
      Edit: Not all of the Senate was open, the Senate is split into 3 groups that have their elections 2 years apart, meaning the people that just won their spots on the Senate will not be up for reelection for another 6 years but the other 2 groups will have their elections in 2020 and 2022 respectively.

The entire House of Representatives was open for election and a third of the Senate was open (a term on the Senate is 6 years and they stagger the elections so that one third is up for election every 2 years), a majority of the states also had the ability to vote for their State Governor, who are kinda like the state equivalent of the President.
      I want to be clear that I'm not a US citizen so there's a solid chance that I got something wrong, this is just what I understand of the US system from some pretty base-level reading.

    I dunno. I feel like Uther's views are discriminatory towards the Forsaken minority whereas Gul'Dan, while he's certainly not perfect, is fairly inclusive. Power for everyone who seeks it, as long as they want it. Gul'Dan has my vote.
