Hamid looks so down and sad, does he even want to marry this girl? His actions towards her have really changed since their first meeting, he never smiles at her or sits near her. I agree, it’s a strange custom. In America, it is usually the brides parents who pay for the wedding, but I don’t know the details of how it works where they are from. I’m not sure that I’ve seem her family, other than the brother who started the fight with Hamid, so I don’t know if they are in favor of the marriage or not.
