Me: Turns around to condition the water
My betta: flips all the gravel up and moves decor and nips on plants then gets stuck under the siphon when I haven’t even started the water change
    Me: the heck
    My betta: :D

Should I remove my betta fish before a water change? I have a ten gallon tank with three female bettas.

please please PLEASE get a bigger tank. 10g is NOT enough for a sorority tank, you need at least 20g, preferably more.

you don’t really, not unless there’s tons of buildup poop under the substrate. or if a fish is sick i guess

roots are beneficial for bettas! they offer oxygen and an extra food source.
