I feel bad for the house keeper who has been working hard because that is a brutal job and now she is going to be fired just so that the news papers can make a story. She is the victim in this scenario
I feel the same way.
Very true you would hope that Trump could see how this isn't fair but he probably didn't pay her anyway he's disgusting
Well, the news articles show that the housekeeper chose to come forward, so it was her choice. She was hurt by all the anti-immigrant statements of her boss, as I recall.
It's certainly an interesting turn of events, but goes to show you how Trump's Contradictory statements and abuse of Double Standards are viewed upon by him and Others like him.
Thankfully it seems Karma is in Full swing for the Lying-Faker-in-Chief as he is either firing or (trying to) replace everyone in his corner. While most of these people are straight-up abandoning him! Pretty soon he's going to be Naked and alone with No One (with an Ounce of integrity) sticking by his side! I think you folks should be a little bit more concerned at the fact that big banks might be pushing for cashless business models to promote a further dependence on them. The idea that to spend money, that money has to be attached to an institution that makes money off of me spending my own money seems mad sinister to me.
So, you do realize that "your money" already is fundamentally based upon a banking system called the Federal Reserve, right? Those pieces of paper aren't inherently valuable, they simply have the weight of the Federal Reserve system behind them. Check out ruclips.net/video/-nZkP2b-4vo/видео.html for more info on the history of paper money. There is a video at the end of that series explicitly about the gold standard, fyi.
I don't think this is a bad thing, either - People who want to go back to money based on material standards are madmen, in my opinion, because there is no such fundamental concept as value in an item. Note that gold prices have been tanking lately. Imagine how that would affect the US dollar if it were directly linked.
The Federal Reserve is a very conservative institution (meant in the sense of making change, not political party allegiance). I would welcome instituting some sort plastic-based mechanism to drag the exchange of goods and services into the 21st century, if we can't figure out how to make such an exchange unnecessary due to progressing to a post-scarcity model, but who knows what it would take to convince the Fed to do it.
@@roguishpaladin -- A couple of credit card companies just got sued by retailers because the credit card companies were charging excessive processing fees. Cashless is just another way for them to make money. If I pay my rent with my debit card it costs me $18 more than if I were to get a money order or set up pay directly from my checking account. Whether it is the bank or the credit card companies, people are cashing in from cashless pay.
@@semi6544 - But direct pay from your account is also "cashless" and has no fees. I know this bc I also pay my rent directly from my account. Money order is also cashless. There are still ways around the system. For instance, prepaid/loadable cards. Or go through a credit union, way more reputable than a bank and they hardly charge any of the banking fees you'd expect from those kinds of institutions. Plus you earn way more interest with them.
Isn't there something in the bible about one currency in the latter days? Could this be what's happening? Hmmmm🤔
@orphan200 -- I know we as the customer have to shop around to avoid fees. I do the same as you do, but some of the businesses and services we use as customers don't have the same choice. I can't go somewhere else to pay my rent. I have to pay my rent at the apartment's office or via their online service. There is no way to escape that $18 fee unless you use your checking account. The fees I am talking about is not on the customer side but on the business side. That is why retailer and businesses sued Visa and Mastercard. The businesses were losing money to the credit card fees. Some businesses then pass those fees to us the customer by adding the fee to the cost of goods. A clear example is if you have ever been charged for using the cashback feature when using your debit card. It was always free and some businesses charge you a dollar or two because the businesses themselves are paying a processing fee whenever cards are being used.

My favorite part is when they’re struggling to transition between desks and Desi just bursts out laughing. So precious
Getting rid of cash is another way to track every move/transaction you make..
Not to mention marginalizing street-vendors, tipped employees, & everybody else whose wages come in cash (including strippers)
And a portion of this is credit card companies trying to get their sweet fees and interest so of course they're encouraging businesses to do this. This also pushes everything towards intangible money and allows for there to become a world of made up money, and also easier to put people in debt. Always remember with a credit card you're never spending your money despite if you have money in your bank to pay for it.
Seems like they want to eliminate private person to person transactions.
Street vendors have been taking cards for some time. Other then strippers most tipps can be paid in a card now too
Sounds about right for America these days.
Exactly! There is a REASON why Germany is so fiercely pro-cash. Other than the attachment to the currency, naturally, it is also because we are fiercely protective of our privacy.

It's actually illegal to refuses cash in the US by federal law, it's why US Bills say "This bill is legal tender FOR ALL DEBTS public and private". So what needs to happen is someone needs to sue one of these stores and that would end this "new craze" Or better yet go to a restaurant that is "cashless" eat then try to pay with cash, when they refuses to take it, that voids the debt under US law. If you owe money to someone and you try to pay them and they refuse the payment, that voids the debt, as you in good faith attempted to pay; they refused to take the payment which every judge in the US would say is their problem, not yours.
citation would be nice
A debt is different from a purchase.
The counterargument is that the store doesn't enter the 'debt' unless the sale is made. You have a debt when you OWE. If you order a drink, then you only owe money (have the debt) when you own the drink (or take possession of it).
If you don't pay the money, ie., if they refuse to take what you want to offer, then there's no contract.
@@PhrontDoor Yes, that is true. But there is a big difference between refusing service and refusing payment of services. You can refuse services to anyone (as long as it's not for reasons covered in the anti discrimination law) but you can't refuse payment of a service render, with out voiding the debt.
instant purchases can be refused which is why many places can refuse to accept $100 bills or payment in pennies. they're only obligated to accept your cash if it's to settle a debt. however if you insist on paying with physical cash then businesses are not required to provide you with change. and in the case of restaurants and the like they don't have to take cash if they reasonably told you in advance they don't take cash, because they made fair effort to prevent you from incurring a debt.
This killed me 😂😂🤣🤣🤣 $1 sent $1 sent $1 sent 6:38
"1 dollar send. 1 dollar send. 1 dollar send." lol
Society can easily fix that problem of cashless discrimination by simply providing kiosks that takes your cash and puts it on a plastic card, which then you can use as a debit card at those stores/restaurants. This could be very simple, much like NYC's metro card system for riding public transit. You can even keep that same card and keep applying more funds to it.
That would be a good solution!
Unfortunately due to antiterrorism and and anti-money laundering laws, those kiosk would require that the person provide personal info like, name, legal ID, and address. Any American institution which deals with financial services would be subject to the same laws. They keep this information and check to see if you have performed monetary transactions in excess of 10000. There are also SARs which may be deemed necessary for amounts under 10000.
@@magicMike757 >Those kiosk would require that the person provide personal info like, name, legal ID, and address.
1: If they are citizens, they already have a Name and a SS number, so no problems there. The address is irrelevant. You can put literally anything as your address. Put the last place you lived. Put the homeless shelter. Make up an address. It doesn't matter. Who other than people here illegally does this affect?
2: It's not even applicable. That only applies to banking. You don't need this info to buy a "visa gift card". You need this to get a checking account, not a gift card.
@@floydmayflower, notice those cards have limited amounts (visa), that is a limitation for that exact reason. Trust me, it would be applicable. Yes they can provide false info or bad information, ppl do it at banks on deposits all the time. I'm just telling you what will happen. The cards would have to have a daily limit, then you are right.
Have you ever got a money order, applies there as well. This would be considered a financial service and it applies there.
That's how you turn a weakness (Trevor lost his voice) into an asset! ^^

I'm an unbanked american. .I refuse to use a credit card ..a holes are now going to force me to pay their interest rates now ..this sucks
c7042 Exactly.
Or use a debit card. It's rare to find a merchant who'll take credit but not debit.
@@c7042 Yes, I do the same, but we still have to pay the yearly fee for the cards, don't forget. That averages out to around $4/month for me. The price we pay for the convenience.
@@roguishpaladin I found out that credit rating agencies don't use debit card use for credit ratings.
@@chezmoi42 - I have 3 credit cards. No annual fees, no monthly fees, no transaction fees, nothing. All I pay is interest and that's IF I don't pay off my bill. But I always do. I pay early and in full. Bc I'm responsible this way, in less than a year, my credit jumped to 760. And also within less than 2 years, I went from a $250 secured deposit to a $20,000 unsecured credit line. As a result, for spending my money, I earn back cash, rewards, points, and travel miles. Can you do that with cash? Nope. Also, I get instantaneous refunds on transactions that go sour. Like a personal trainer who turns out to be unprofessional bc he skips our appts, I called my card company & they restored all my money. Last night, I noticed an item was missing from a food order, and one quick call to the restaurant got me a quick refund. And one time an ebay order never got delivered, this too was also canceled & refunded immediately. Cash never gave me that luxury or security. My sister used to have $10K in cash & even more in gold. She got robbed. She saved another $20K. Got robbed again. Yea, let's just say she does everything electronically now like I do.
Cash keeps you aware of how much you're spending .Credit cards are the reason Americans don't have any savings in their accounts .
But that's on those people, isn't it? You're not wrong, It had always baffled me when I had first realized most people don't pay attention to their accounts versus their spending. What I had always assumed was common sense turned out to be just me in the minority. I personally am one of those people who love to take advantage of those "pay within X years for no interest" promotions, and it just shocks me how many other people don't pay attention and end up paying massive interest fees instead of setting up a budget to pay nothing extra. But is it fair to say that's credit's fault? Why can't the average person manage their finances? I mean, this isn't credit scamming people, it's people literally ignoring how much they have in their accounts. No tricks, just....lack of care on the average american's part.
Don't get me wrong, I am very well away of how credit card companies can scam people, but it really does seem like most of the interest fees they collect are only the fault of those spending blindly.
I spend more responsibly with card than anything. I can easily check my history and use a number of apps that allocate into categories what you buy, frequency etc. Electronic is much more responsible for me.
i love places that don't take cash. i eat and drink, and then they dont accept payment. it is free. cash is legal tender, they have to accept it. i have no other form of payment.
Right inflation and stagnant wages have nothing to do with anything it's just people being morons.
Imagine going to a strip club with a credit card.. fuck .. ill be in debt for life . My grandchildren will be paying that stripper bill when im gone !!

What happened to the part where cash is "legal tender for all debts public and private"?
But if the debt doesn't exist yet, there's no need to accept cash.
+@@takatamiyagawa5688 Pick up an item in a store and start walking out. I guarantee that they will say you owe them money. Like "biggerdoofus" I have wondered about how a firm can refuse cash when the federal government says in writing that it satisfies all payment of debt
@@gemanscombe4985 More like you'll owe them the item back if you don't get too far, and you'll be hauled away by the police if you do get farther away. When you put the item and cash on the checkout counter, it doesn't create a debt that they're obligated to take cash for. They could theoretically say "we don't take cash, transaction cancelled". The only reason it doesn't happen more often is that almost no business has a motive to refuse perfectly good cash.
+@@takatamiyagawa5688 I know a business that insists on credit/debit cards and keeps no change on hand. The point of the example was that debt is incurred by taking possession of a store item. As long as you're holding it, you owe a debt. Leaving debt-free requires payment or putting it down. There's potentially a debt when you pick it up and it gets more consequential as you reach the doorway or the item enters your pocket. Stepping outside makes non-payment into shoplifting. Concealment of goods is considered prima facie evidence of shoplifting, though stores will usually wait until one leaves.
The question is whether the seller can legally refuse currency that has "legal tender for all debts, public and private" on it as a matter of federal law. I would think not but I'm just a working schlubb, not a judge.
That one business does it. Is it legal? I'll ask a Consumer Protection guy I know the next time I see him.
@@gemanscombe4985 Just holding an item doesn't create a debt that the store is obligated to accept cash for.
That said, if you go to a restaurant, and they serve your party $100 worth of food with the expectation that you will pay just before leaving, then a debt is created. If you offer $100 in cash to pay for the food that they already served you, I'm sure they have to take it.

Just pointing out, Sweden has been basically cash-less for like 10 years (I don't think I've touched money since 2012, and I'm serious), and the government does not tax transactions between people, whether you are using an app or your digital bank. In fact, I think that transactions are considered private information; so the only ones with access to the information are the ones involved.
I think this will bring back the barter system. People will start trading goods and services wayyy more to avoid excessive taxes and fees.
@@hamstsorkxxor Yeah, but... YOU LIVE IN SWEDEN. Comparing how your gov acts & works against the usa's well known over reach is like comparing the archangel gabriel & satan. Sure they're on the same scale but on completely OPPOSITE ends. BTW I am only conservative in the aspect of negating govs over reach over the citizenry As for business I totally expect an audit system so thorough that if it were a colonascpy you'd need the assistance of an ear, nose & throat specialist to fully interpret the findings.
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought Jaboukie’s face was a mash up of Trevor’s and Desi’s faces
Trevors mime skills shine bright. He’s a pro npc mime
No accountability!
BOYCOTT THE CASHLESS SOCIETY!
No cash anymore, only creditcards? Sweden tried it and failed.
Jos Nijsten seems to work fine in Japan
@@nicknguyen3019 actually Japanese people keep quite much cash on then compared to people in the US. www.justlanded.com/english/Japan/Japan-Guide/Money/Money-in-Japan
Jos Nijsten uhm, what?
I haven’t used any cash at all for years here in Sweden.
I think most restaurants and shops accept cash (they definitely should), but I wouldn’t know... can’t seem to recall seeing any paper and coin exchanges for a long time.
That "One dollar send" was funny😂😂😂
Excellent! now let's do everybody in Congress and let's see how many of them are in the same boat. Then Hollywood.
🐬Trump likes doing things the legal way but when it comes to him
The democrats snuck that person in there...

@@commenterperson4481 What are you? 7 year old? or an old fucktard with a child's brain?
@@AA-xk1uv _"What am I?"_
Human. I suspect you meant to ask: how old are you?
_"7 year old?"_
I don't understand; seven year old what?
_"or an old fucktard with a child's brain?"_
Don't you mean 'Or'? Either case, you shouldn't start a sentence with a conjunction.
@@sarahparker7286 It was a silly comment, just repeating the type of comments/excuses/distractions that I often see.
(Brainwashed? Probably no; and definitely not for too long.)
Yeah yeah, Trevor is cute but this is kinda serious. If cash really gets phased out then anybody's ability to buy or sell anything at all can be switched off.
@Joel A you don't do illigal things with cash in the 21st century, you use bitcoins, untraceable and launderable at will.
Okay I never thought a quiet Trevor would be such a treat! I could live happily ever after thanks to that smile, the eyes and the dimples! How charming is this man! 😍💟
I love the different personalities of the correspondents. They add so much to the show
I like the new kid! He’s hilarious!
This was awesome! Great job you two! Lol and great facial expressions Trevor 😂🤣
"Dimpled Alexa" 😭😭😭😭😭
So cute
Jaboukie !! FTW !! 😅 That guy was Great 'Benjamin Jefferson' 😆
