It's always weird when a new guy is added to an established crew, but man I really am liking Rich. Hope you stick around buddy! You're a great teacher and I really like how you take your time going through the instructions.
Have to admit, when I first saw the notice I thought to myself, ugh, another skills video! As it turns out, one of the best videos on some essential skills that I have ever watched! Great job, Rich 👊
I thought the exact same thing. Turns out all the little extras and entertainment value made it one of the best skills videos. Blakey don't Jelly. I've been ending up in parking lots and streets a lot and thought the sitting version of the crankflips while getting tired from trying wheelies and manuals would be a good use of time. Also, been thinking of ways to work in the endo with brake and movement and work on control while moving from trick to trick like Rich has whilst integrating that trackstand. Jeez, that's a lot more than I thought
This is fantastic. The detail is really important but more so easy to comprehend. I’m always looking for ways to improve my bike skills. The latest limited space makes it very easy to understand. Thank you!!!
Thanks Rich...about 10 years of riding trails but never mastered these, even though used to wheelie along happily as a kid. Maybe it was adopting clipless pedals? I switched back to flats last year so no excuse now in lockdown not to master... I’m desperate to impress my buddies with a well executed endo 😎 Great vid, looks easy enough 👍😬
Im still learning these tricks mainly the common ones. So my dear friends, can you help me witha question i dont see answered commonly. What tricks need the saddle low or can be done high? Like manuals, do you need it down cause you'll be doing the L shape explosion? But wheelies dont need the saddle down cause youll balance yourself at the saddle position? Im struggling to differentiate which one is which.
"learn the crankflip" *looks at shins* nah, thanks mate. I just recently slipped one of those slim mid-2000 pedals, that don´t have pins but like spiky bits, while bunny hopping and it spun around and wasn´t satisfied with just hitting my shin but scraping multiple deep gashes into it, all around 5cm, I reckon. Great day. Did 26 more km with that ... great day. Still hurts like shit.
Thanks for the bunny hop technique explained, it's been an epiphany, after watching tones of videos about it and every one coaching it missed the linking motion of leaning back in order to lift up the front wheel after loading it...
Rich! That was great! Love the way you described the endo arm-stretch-butt-out-push-back. Don't think I heard that before. I don't like endo's, because I tried it twice and went otb twice. But, thanks to you, I'll give it another go. Let's hear your explanation of a manual!
we are living through your vids ,,how about some bike exercise days at the trailhead before you ride physical exercise directed to building strength on the bike an stretching exercises
So you do the Bunnyhop the "trail way" - jump up / back, then rear wheel lift. The other trillion Bunnyhop tutorials teach the "L move", aka drop your weight vertically, then shift backwards (like you want to do a manual). Takes you higher, but requires more time.
No back garden, no space. Bike in my bedroom (almost sleep with) and front room small but on positive side, the window is wide so i could practise jumps 🙄 negative, it lands on the main road 😁
I don't want to be that guy but when it comes to a bunny hop your hips go down then back, not down then up diagonally. It's weird you explained it like that but you obviously can bunny hop fairly high. Otherwise great video!
So to learning in the new #GMBN Chou in thes wheelie in the supr bunnyhop in yu #Moutainbike trackand thes cranktlip nice thes jumpstrkas Thanks guy rider 🗣️ yyaasicke a winer #Moutainbiking
Everything functions properly ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of RUclips. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
Nice! Send some pics to our uploader when it's finished - upload.gmbn.com/ we love to check out what you have been up to and may feature it on the show!
This is really helpful !! I’m doing a 100 mile challenge on my bike to raise money for a boxer dog charity 😃 I love your channel it’s always so entertaining 👍🏻
Wheelie, endo, bunnyhop, trackstand, or crankflip. Which skill are you best at?
wheelie, bunnyhop and watching gmbn... oh wait that was not an option....
I was riding bikes for like 4 years and i still cant do a bunny hop all i can do is an endo but i lost my front brake
I just can't wheelie😭 I can track stand for a few seconds, endo a teeny bit and bunny hop about a cm.
Track stand
definitely wheelie, I suck at crankflips
Rich's confidence as a presenter is growing strong fast....entertaining and engaging as all the other GMBN crew (editors included) .🤘
Rich is becoming an amazing presenter the best one he has done yet 🤘

This is the most practical video for people who dont have lots of space and time on weekdays. Especially the "static drills". Good job.
Great, now I just need a garden.
Rich thank you for making this video, I was about going crazy with no trails to shred, this has really helped me.
1:07 Haha I just popped 2 of the cushions in my back looping while doing a wheelie on grass!

I have already perfected all of these but the video was still as enjoyable as ever!
Thanks!
Backyard skills, yes!
Nice explained good Vid, keep on the good work!!
Thanks!
@@gmbn Wow this means a lot to me that you answered, very cool!😁
I simply Love this channel. Made me bought a Polygon T8. 😂
This was really helpful. I've been looking for something like this. I can't wait to practice these. Thanks to Rich and the rest of the GMBN crew!
Rich you are a legend. Great video i've just sent it to all my Bike mates 'The Fork Lords'
Thanks for the tips ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍

do you have a video on how to evacuate in general? like how to avoid getting injured
Love how rich is casually fakieing back to start point every time 😂👌🏼
Well done😷
I’ll do your gardening for 3 years for one of your old bikes 😂
I'm bidding 3 years and a month!
That large hedge needs a trim and pallets need shifting and ---🤪
Steven Andria's tutorials don’t do me like that mate 😂
I think his garden is absolutely beautiful:)
we are living through your vids ,,how about some bike exercise days at the trailhead before you ride physical exercise directed to building strength on the bike an stretching exercises
Thks.
jajaja so good video love the jumptrail! now feel motivated what gest me going the longest while bike is delta parole or other rokk music!
nice video! keep going 👍👌😎
You guys should do a throw back to old technology's that never caught on like the bionicon golden willow

nice grass
cool
Thx, nice vdo
On endo, how to move the rear wheel left or right more than 90°?
Here in the philippines not the garden but the field!! With obstucles like cows and goats!
I'm not in lockdown with my scales are finally open I went for a morning ride this morning
How tall are you and what size bike is that. Planning to buy that bike, trying to get a better idea for myself. Thanks
Hello nice video
We need a Game of Bike with Professor Payne.
HERE COMES THE PAYNE!!!💪
Great torturial, I've been trying to find my balance after over 20+ years off a bike.😀
I wanna learn all this skills
Or alternatively you could build a backyard trail and then it would be just going for a local trail ride in your garden!
those are really nice tricks but what should I do if I've got no garden?
Do a Bunnyhop Like A Pro
Rich Version 🤘🤘🤘
seat down for wheeling imo 👌🏼
I keep mine about halfway so you have the best of both worlds!
I would try to learn these but I had my worst crash recently
oof hopefully you get better soon
I wonder if it would make it easier for me to make endo with an air fork instead of my coil fork
No back garden, no space. Bike in my bedroom (almost sleep with) and front room small but on positive side, the window is wide so i could practise jumps 🙄 negative, it lands on the main road 😁
Any ideas why my drive train changes gears when doing crank flips? NX drivetrain.
a) Dirty
b) Do it in a middle gear. When you are to one side or the other, it is coming off the chainring at an angle to the gear, so it shifts.
All I need now is a garden to practice
I know how to trackstand, but I can't do it against a wall like you showed.
As we say in the U.S. Shazam! I always tried to pick up my front wheel without pedaling.
Is it possible to do a bunnyhop without rear suspension?
Yes
What was the point of the pallets
How to you go backwards? Cos whenever i try, i just freewheel
Does Rich have a reverse gear on that bike?
Are you using a high gear when doing these skills ?
Not the highest, just a reasonable gear
Track stand bro
Are those shorts comfortable?
*HI*
Now I just need a garden
let's goooo
12:53 that is just so hard to get.
Nice, uploaded 12 secs ago ;)
*practise*
