It further enforces the fact that FromSoft is better off making more games like Sekiro. While the Souls games have always been the most successful, they could really use Sekiro mechanics so that you have more options than just some goofy dodge roll that no one would do in real combat.
I'm personally having a lot of fun with this boss in Elden Ring. But I understand some people's skill level can prevent them from having a fun experience with Elden Ring bosses
You can see that Fromsoftware is better off making another Sekiro at this point since these bosses work better in a different game. Most of these moveset might be cool but don't fit Dark Souls gameplay as much as it would Sekiro.
@@inoodlesi4459 I definitely agree, some bosses in elden ring have movesets almost impossible to dodge consistently without needing to back off for sometime. I wish fromsoftware bought back aggressive gameplay style of sekiro and Bloodborne
You can say this for most of the bosses in the DLC, their attacks felt so unintuitive to dodge and lasted so long that I felt like a spectator rather than a participant in the fights.
The first phase was an especially excellent fight! The consecutive two-hits she would do with her dual swords made for very satisfying double-deflects to watch :D. The second phase had a lot more dodging on Sekiro's part in it due to her spells, so it was more like her normal Elden Ring fight in that regard, but the mobility advantage Sekiro has combined with ONGBAL's god-tier gameplay made it a treat to watch as well! 😄
Elden Ring 2 (or whatever game fromsoft does next) should let us use sekiro’s system for duels and humanoid enemies, but then use the dark souls/elden ring system for larger monsters.

When i fought her with sekiro tear i 24/7 had a feeling that she was designed for sekiro combat (just like malenia and maliketh) she also has the move that i like to call “where the fk are you even aiming?” if you played sekiro you probably know what i mean
I think you and other ppl just prefer sekiro game mechanics. sekiro's gameplay mechanic seems simple so of course any boss from elden ring and souls trilogy will fit in, especially since it's the same game engine.
I'm dying to see you fight a Furnace Golem and see what kind of gear you'd use. I despise these enemies so much and would do almost anything for a good trick or two to make the fight more survivable (that grab attack, though...) and especially a little faster! I tried looking through your video history so I apologize if you've done it, I just had to blur my eyes and look for big red shapes because I'm not far into the DLC yet, and trying to avoid more spoilers than I've already seen around.

Rellana one of my favorite fights in the DLC. This style of gameplay only tells me they should try and expand the Sekiro formula in a new game in a similar gameplay vein.

it feels to right to see rellana actually defending attacks and having stagger animations as opposed to her in Elden Ring being an absolute poise monster up until you stance break her

She's so much fun in ER wdym? Her fight flows so well and the quick back and forth almost feels like a dance. One of my favorite bosses in the game
her sidestep dashing move reminded me a lot of malenia's, it got more fun for me parrying her attacks. Still hard af tho
If youre bad at Elden Ring, you will be destroyed by her in Sekiro.
