Hasbro are going in the right direction, the new figures aren't perfect, but they are very acceptable to the originals. They are clearly manufactured and produced, with cost in mind, and you can see that in the quality of the figure. Having said that, as an O Ring only collector I welcome any new O Ring's that Hasbro bring out, long may this line last Hasbro 🤞

80's Zarana had two different heads. You have one of them. The figure you are reviewing has the other head.
I knew there were two different heads, but until just now I had never bothered to look at them. I had no idea they were so different.

Apparently it's going to be Triple T Sgt. Kup with Sgt. Slaughter and Leatherneck! Kup is definitely a swerve. But probably fits better with the training instructor/sergeants/USMC theme.

The new Zarana looks more cartoon accurate in the face and head, and lack of sleeves.
You can use a Nintendo DS screen protector on the front of Soundwave’s chest to keep it from getting scratches in vehicle mode. Also you can boil the front brush guard to make it look like new again on your 1980s Thunder machine.
Nice! The DS protector is a great idea. And I'm used to heating modern toys up - I don't know why I never thought about it for that. Thanks!
The og Zarana is epic awesomeness the reissue is a stunt double.(still like it though as crossover pack)
It would be cool to get a starscream rattler, Ironhide snow cat, and a optimas prime APC and maybe some others that look like the mobat and dragonfly would be cool too

The figures look good. Also the comparison between the two Zarana figures should be with the no o earing Zarana version which the head matches the Zarana from this crossover man... If I get this set in the future, I just keep Sounwave in Thunder machine mode...😃👍💡

Great review! I have to agree, these crossovers are a dream come true! Hasbro, keep churning these crossovers out please! We need an Optimus Prime crossover! Hopefully, the R.O.C.C. or the A.P.C.!

I got mine via Amazon the other day. I got the other two mashups also from Amazon but haven't opened this one yet. I have a hard time figuring out these transformers.
I am all about the 3 and 3/4 so ending up buying all the new ones. I also open the stuff old school style and also don't keep packaging. I do like opening toys. I did back that collected art book. Thanks for the video

Bro took me a good portion of the day ...Directions felt cryptic to me .And I'm 45 so kinda blurry got the top half .But the bottom. Was hell until I 180ed the leg and scorpioned it and bam probably a 6 hr shitshow

The blue doesn't bother me, but given the choice I'd prefer black.
This is the Masterpiece mold for Ravage, so there are plenty of those out on ebay in black if you really wanted one. The tape mode looks better too.

The baroness figure that came with magatron/hiss is terrible (they painted her face on her glasses 😂) zarana looks good not as butch as the original
The packaging I'm sure has less to do with unboxing videos and more to do with the target audience of these products. Kids just want to rip packages open; adult collectors appreciate the experience and presentation. Considering kids don't want toys anymore, and especially for throwbacks that they have no nostalgia for, it makes sense.
I don't think your opinion and my opinion are mutually exclusive.

One of several questionable design choices.
I can think of other Cons other then Sound as Swamp Machine. Glad I didn’t get it. Great clip. More realistic. Box still sucks. So much waisted space. Could care less about how it’s display. Do care about space at home.
