Amazing... I would really like to see it being tested on floods, how deep it can go without damaging the engine (as it doesn't have snorkel), the electronics or getting water into the cab. And also how it goes on very bad mud, without getting stuck. All the tests i've seen are on the rocks.
snorkels are far more effective for getting clean air form dust than water. most systems will fail before the sock air box floods, but they "look cool"

Is that shell hard mounted to the frame?? Didn't see really any frame flex going on, makes me think the shell is taking on a lot of force! Explains how the sleeping extension doesn't smash into the cab.
The suspension could be easily upgraded further to allow much more articulation. I assume you have a heavy duty sway bar on the front. Quick detach could help a lot for that. Airbags could also help when on a very sharp lean to bring one side up. These are awesome vehicles. The idiots screaming and talking crap in the background don't know crap. It's a well built overlander. It handles it's weight well. I'm curious if there are options for lightening your weight up top.
This truck gets a lot of slack for being sooo expensive. But it really is a great truck.but open diffs? You put lockers in that thing front and back and I bet people would shut up about how it’s not good off-road. I’m assuming it’s not an option because it would void the factory warranty? That and I’m sure 98 percent of the people that own them are to scared to take it off road. But it’s pretty good off-road as it sits.

So the EarthRoamer didn't do anything my Subaru with a 2 inch lift couldn't also do confidently, and without any issues. Having said that, my Subaru isn't a small house. So there is some perspective on the matter. I get that with a vehicle that big, and with that many amenities, it cannot also be amazing off road. I just wish that the marketing behind the vehicle was more hones about its lack of serious off road ability.... That or show us the truck actually going off road on more than just manicured, pre-planned tracks in which every rock is laid in just the right place after rehearsed trial runs prior to the camera roll. The track/ course in this video was like a trolley ride at the amusement park for kids and grandparents... No danger, no risk, easy, slow, and predictable.
all this video proves is a professional driver on a man made course. that he probably navigated 100 times or more, is good at his job at expos. lol. there is only 1 video of these things on youtube of a person that bought one, brought it on a trail and got it stuck in a little bit of mud! the earth roamer was winched up an still couldn't get un stuck. this truck is made for all show, and idiots with deep pockets buy them, they don't even have locking differentials!

At best owners of these will drive on hard packed trails that barely require tuning 4 wheel drive on. Seems pretty capable though.
I'd love one. Maybe just to tour the US. But in the real world I'm guessing its way too big and impractical for around the world overlanding.

Dan Muscarella the newer model fords like 2011-2019 diesels all come standard with locking diffs just not the 2008-10 model like this one

if you want axles that can handle a12.5 k lb vehicle you have to use a 5 ton instead of a one and a quarter ton.
