Mine came perfect out of the box no flaws in finish . Fret ends no work needed. 5 minutes of setup mostly raising the neck pick up. Better strings. I gig with it twice a week. No one's complaining.
I bought one about two month ago and really like it. I bought the American Flag one. The paint job is awesome. I have mainly used the middle pickup position and bridge too so far. The tuners have been my only issue. There's a couple that get stuck when turning and you can feel the tightness and then it turns great. It holds it tune though. It's just, when you need that extra little turn to get it right and it gets tight there, you know it's cheaper tuners. But it only with two of the tuners so I guess that's a luck of the draw issue. Over all, I like it more than Fender Player Tele that costs 700 bucks.
I bought one on Amazon for $109. Doing a complete rebuild. Seymour Duncan Hot Rails, New bridge (what was on guitar sucked and vibrated) , new D'Addario Auto-Trim Locking Tuning Machines, Custom Engraved Neck plate, new wiring and knobs.
I’ve purchased 2 Leo Jaymz guitars on Amazon in the past two months and I am very pleased with both of them. Both are American flag designs, one a tele style and the other an SG style. I like them so well I am modding them both with some upgrades and new pickups, although they were both playable out of the box. Speaking of which, one of them arrived in a giant box in which the guitar in its factory box had been thrown and had come open inside and the guitar was free to move around. Somehow it arrived without any damage. You have to keep your expectations reasonable when spending $119-129 on a guitar. Too many RUclipsrs are buying $79-200 guitars online and then nitpicking if everything isn’t perfect on them. If you want perfection buy an Eastman or Gibson, Fender, or Heritage USA made guitars. And even then you’re bound to find some little imperfection. That’s what makes each one unique though.
I’ve been bouncing about buying one in Golden standard. Beautiful colors on them. Sounds “ok” so I would be buying one for my own electronics and hardware mod. Otherwise it looks good and the fretboard looks easy to play on despite having to some fretwork
Sound is good for the price but agree that it is prime for swapping stuff out. Great neck profile and will most likely need some fret work. I've worked on two so far and the side fret sprout is pretty bad/sharp
@@RamonaMusicCenter Yeah not a huge deal, fixable issue. I have bought 13 Harley Bentons over the last 5 years and they are all good, on a couple of them I have replaced all the hardware and nut, but not because they were bad but because I am a guitar tart, I then put the hardware I took off on to a couple of the lower specced models that I bought, I have also had to address the frets on a couple of them as there were a few high frets but they were ever so small rocks, I polished the frets on all of them but I have done that to every guitar I have ever bought. if I ever buy another budget guitar it will be a Harley Benton for sure.
Thank you for your video. I was looking at those on Amazon and I like the American flag one. Im a telecaster guy and owned five of them. I think I'm going to buy it because I have all kinds of pickups and bridges and tuners and electronics from telecaster that I fixed over the years. I think with all the parts that I have I can make a pretty sweet looking guitar. Thanks again for your review I really appreciate it.
@@RamonaMusicCenter like I said I'm a huge telecaster just loves them. The only problem I have with them it's all the same colors blue, butterscotch blond, white, black. Thanks again for your video and thanks for the reply.
I bought a Fazley Tele from Bax Music in Holland for just less than $250 CDN funds. Comes with Roasted Maple neck, Solid Ash body, String through body,Wilkinson bridge, saddles and pickups.Hand rubbed stain it's beautiful. Cost ne with shipping abut same as a Squire but I really wanted it.
Hey man, I just found your channel searching for as much info on these Leo Jaymz guitars. Enjoyed your review. Will you please update us in your moding of this guitar to see how it plays? Thanks 🦏👍🎸👍🦏
This is the same guitar as someone else recently reviewed, under a different name. (Three letters, started with an “I.”) I’m a Tele snob…I love my partscasters as well…but this guitar sounded AWESOME in both clean and heavy gain. The clean blew me away, and the pups DIDN’T need upgrading.
Dude that sounded insane. I love when talented musicians get a cheaper instrument andale them sound stage worthy. Hahah. Its beautiful too. I need one now. Thanks for the dagon GAS. Hahah ❤
My friend did that with my classic vibe. I didn't like it until he played it and showed me the darn thing was pretty cool. Hot pickups which surprised me.

I have that one and it is, NICE. Only adjustments I had to make was adding relief to the neck with the truss rod, bridge intonation and string action. All very easy if you have the tools and gumption to tackle it. I'm definitely happy with it.
They are no good. Get a Fojil, Firefly. You got to check the frets. People do that and so now we know that these other guitars are good and this one is not good. And nobody wants to know if a guitar is worth the money. We want to know if the guitar is better than the money. That's why we want to purchase it.
There are a handful of guitars that aren't worth the money so worth pointing out I think. This is way more guitar than you would expect for $150. Frets on this one were good but bad on another that I set up for a customer. QC is any issue for most guitars under 200
@RamonaMusicCenter a notched straight edge rests on the fretboard. Not the frets. So there is nothing misleading about it. You set the neck straight with the notch and then check fret level with a standard straight edge and/or rocker.
So he looks around while he shows off his guitar skills with his chewing gum and a cheap Telecaster with minor problems... no one cares... they are not Fender or Gibson guitars!

For what you paid, and you add in valuation for your time and work, you could have bought a 50s Vibe Squire. And been ready to roll.

Totally! I still play this one after some fretwork. I just think its important for some to know that it needs work after purchase.

Dude you bout to convert me. I have not been a tele fan. I may wet my feet with this one. But I'm looking at a Squier classic vibe.
I like your guitar picking 👍
I wonder if these are coming out of the same factory as Harley Benton. I have a HB telecaster and it’s awesome.
No dude. Harley is good but not like this guitar.
I've been looking at the metallic green one! That's one of the best sounding budget Teles I've heard. Definitely does the tele thing.

I would haved loved that guitar in 1980 when I was just starting out. All guitars were 700 to 1400 bucks back then ,And they werent worth that.
100% ! Also curious to see how they can responsibly make something decent at that price range!
Try removing the cover from the neck p-up. I'd assume its brass and that robs high end. I'm betting it will come to life.
Great suggestion!

Real "Veneer" Top. :)
Lol as opposed to a printed wood grain top that I see fairly often. Atleast veneers are real wood
Don’t like the color neck with the body. I’d save a couple hundred more and go with the WOLF.

Why do I keep hearing people saying, "Leo JAMS"? There's a "Y" in there, which would make it pronounced like "JAMES".
Totally makes sense! Brain just ain't used to the spelling yet I guess
