NEW Martin GPC-13E ZIRICOTE | Acoustic Guitar demo | Tone Zone

During the NAMM Believe in Music week in January '21, C. F. Martin & Co. introduced the Road Series GPC 13E with a stunning Ziricote finish. This tonewood has a beautiful grain to it and is absolutely gorgeous. We tried it out!
"With a gorgeous glossed Sitka spruce top and option of mutenye or ziricote back and sides, this solid wood Grand Performance cutaway model is a great sounding guitar at an affordable price. New to this model are stunning mother-of-pearl pattern fingerboard and rosette inlays, a multi-stripe rosette border, and white binding. It has an FSC® Certified Richlite® fingerboard and bridge, gloss body, and a hand-rubbed neck finish. Also new to this model is a Fishman® MX-T electronics package with a built-in soundhole tuner that auto mutes the audio output so you can tune up any time without using a pedal."

I just bought this GPC13-E Ziricote Martin and I am still waiting for it to arrive. It sounds good on this video but in ones own hands it may sound different. Excellent playing on this video and as all good players know, a large amount of one's tone comes from their hands and technique. I can only hope the one I am waiting to arrive will sound as good as the one in this video.

Hi, Martin says on their www that the Road series are made of solid wood.
“With a Road Series model, you’ll enjoy solid wood construction...”
But with the GPC-13E guitar specs they say it has two options:
Ziricote Fine Veneer (laminate) or Mutenye (is this solid wood?).

Is it made (back and sides) from laminate or solid wood?

Yes one is solid wood the ziricote is layered wood which Is the one I have coming played both in store and the layered ziricote sounded amazing

The Martin GPC-13e ziricote is not laminate. The top is solid sitka spruce and the back and sides are solid khaya (african mahogany) which the ziricote fine veneer is laid down on inside and outside
