Good for you for speaking up about this. It doesn't matter how long it took you to tell your story because it will still help other people by hopefully keeping them from joining other MLM's. I learned some very valuable lessons about myself, others and life in general. Thank you for pointing this out

I went on Lularoe website today after watching a few of these videos out of curiosity on what the company is up to now, and it doesn't look like they had the strange prints they used to have. There were actually a lot of solids and denim and more reasonable items. Do you know what that change is about?
Oh really? I actually haven't checked the website in yearsss! Good to know they are done with the strange prints lol. I'm not sure what the change is about but I think it may be due to a few things - the lead designer that was in charge of the crazy fabric designs is no longer there (and hasn't been for a while) and I'm thinking that they possibly could be working on a re-brand? Fashion trends and styles change over time so they may be updating their items to reflect that. They may also be catering to a wider customer base that prefers different clothing styles that are more wearable.
I tried to order lularoe on Amazon, I was inform I may not get the print I ordered. The company expected me to pay for a print I want but may not get. No thanks.
Wow! I didn't know that they had it on Amazon as well! That's terrible! The random prints was one of the things that I strongly disliked but I think that it made more sense in a physical pop up situation where you can at least see what you're buying. Most people order online because they like THAT specific print so to tell someone that you may not get that one is pretty messed up. I don't blame you!
I’m sure I watched part one to this I’m happy you did part two, I feel like a business even though they’re in the business of making money should want to see the best for their consumers, I don’t believe they should be telling you to take out even double credit cards that’s just crazy. I’m happy you were able to prove to them you actually made that payment.
Thanks so much Meshe! Absolutely. I don't think the company had good intentions for anyone other than themselves :-/ Me too!! Had I not kept a record, I'm sure they would've tried to make me pay again - yikes!
That's funny that you mention about the tag gun and re-tagging things after you wear them. I joined around the same time as you and we also were encouraged to do that. I dutifully purchased the tag gun with my other supplies when I joined, but never used it (I don't think I even know how 😆) and could never bring myself to fully wear something and then put it back up for sale. My upline did recommend doing photo shoots wearing new items and hiding the tags, which seems a little more palatable 😂
ARE YOU SERIOUS??? No way! I felt crazy for the longest time. It's good to know that I'm not the only one that was told that! Same - I just couldn't do that. No thanks lol! Oh yes, I did that too! I think it's fine haha :-) I photographed most items on my mannequin but sometimes I'd take photos of it styled on myself, which I think most people appreciated. But it was on for like... 5 minutes max LOL!
Just wanted to say that as I was watching your video (came up in the algorithm after watching other LuLaRoe videos) my 12 year old daughter came up and was like, "Ohh, I like her dress shirt! It's really pretty!" 😁 My daughter is also quirky and different and has her own sense of style, much like you! But I really enjoyed your videos and can relate alot to your experiences, as I've had many similar ones. Definitely subbed! ❤
Awwww! Thanks so much for sharing that! It honestly made my day :-) Tell her I said "thank you!" Fashion is more fun when it's different hehe! I appreciate that so much. It was hard to share initially but I'm glad I did. I think a lot of us have been through something similar! Happy that you're here - thank you so much for the support!
Bottom line, they prey on desperate people. It's ALWAYS about the money, ALWAYS. Never pay some someone to have a job. Would you be a secretary, a bank clerk. a journalist, etc., and pay THEM so you could work? NO YOU WOULDN'T. So WHY pay some MLM. MLMS are ALWAYS a scam in one way or the other.
You said "Everbody loved and everybody was wearing it ", They were putting on a show of lies because they had to recruit people, so everyone that buy it had to fake that they love it in order to sell and recruit others. I remember in 2015 I saw many peopke on Facebook wearing those print and they were saying that they love them , and I think it was the WORSE and unflattering clothing that I saw in my life!! 😁
You bring up a really good point! The hype around the product and "increased demand" was definitely intentional. Only making a limited amount of sellable product made consultants purchase more frequently and it created a frenzy for customers that sought out to find their "unicorn," especially since most of the product was... meh. And then you have the owners and larger consultants hyping it up and since there was such an emphasis on selling, making money, becoming "known" in the company, you have smaller consultants purchasing like crazy and talking it up like it's the best thing ever in order to keep up. I'm sure that there were people out there that faked it in order to increase sales but to be honest, it almost felt like people were almost brainwashed into thinking that these crazy prints were actually amazing. Just my observation. I will say that when I started, there were actually some "cute" items that I kept for myself and there are people out there that genuinely liked the clothing for a variety of reasons but as time went on... they just went off the rails with the prints, colors, quality, designs, etc. I definitely don't blame you LOL!!!
I have to admit, although I haven't watched the LulaRich documentary, I saw a video about it & it sent me on a little video binge all about Lularoe. A day later, the algorithm brought me your video & voila, here I am introduced to you! Such a sweetie pie (hope that's not offensive, I mean it in the best possible way, but some women may find it demeaning; please know that's not my intention). Anyway, I found your 1st video of your experience very interesting & after, left me feeling "good for you", you got out at the best possible time it seems. I hear you, though, on all the time wasted essentially. To break even was probably still at such a loss overall. All that time with just some cute outfits to show for it with whatever pieces you acquired, but then again, with a lot of lessons learned & great experience as well, which always helps us grow😊 I found your outfit styling in the pix you shared in the 1st video were adorable, looked effortless, & in my opinion, would've helped Lularoe sale more items by showing how well the pieces integrate into one's wardrobe. Who really wants to b limited to several cuts & shapes?!?.... boring!! The pieces you added made the outfits more feminine, more stylish, more overall eye-catching. I can see how odd that would b, for how you mentioned in this video, every one of the consultants to essentially all b wearing the same "uniform" in a way at the conventions or any other time they would all mass together. To my knowledge, there's not that many different styles, so it sounds very limiting to me. Anyway, sorry for rambling in my novella here, but just wanted to say I'm glad my interest in the MLM scam that is Lularoe (my words, not yours, of course) has led me to discover such an intriguing channel & I look forward to discovering your discussions on many more interesting topics from past & present!! Have a great weekend😁
Jealous people do mean things. Those women saw someone who was beautiful & stylish. My guess is they were threatened by you and, since they weren’t nice people to start with, they dealt with it by ignoring or minimizing you.
Thank you Susan! This is very true, unfortunately. I have always struggled with self-confidence so this type of behavior can feel personal at times but I think that you are absolutely right
It is so sad how many of the MLM companies take advantage of individuals who are trying to earn and make a living. I believe that retagging exists in many other organizations. How sad and disgusting is that yuck! There is so much money to be made to go around no need to be so greedy. I am glad that you shared your story and honesty.
It just breaks my heart :-( To be honest, it's not something I ever thought of until I saw it firsthand. Yikes! I agree. I think that most people were in it to better their life somehow but unfortunately, there were also some bad seeds in there that took advantage. Thank you Ingrid!
I do agree with you on that! I think the consultants would have been more successful selling items that they chose and having better prints to choose from. However, I think they'd be even more successful it they changed up the ownership LOL!
Thank you for sharing, Angie! I did not know this. Honest question though - Do people wear the clothes and then retag and sell? Not customers but employees. We were told to wear the items to pop ups and then sell the clothing (unwashed) to our customers. I worked at a few retail stores when I was younger and I don't remember anyone doing this but of course, customers do make returns. Is this what normally happens in retail?
@@LizzieinLace Lizzie, I was a manager for a National clothing chain as well as some other independent boutiques during my career. It was standard procedure to wear clothing off the rack in the store to “model” the days we worked. (I remember this being mostly Saturdays and here and there during the week it wasn’t like we wore the clothing every day and we were gentle on the garments.) Also we very often did live “fashion shows” at malls and clubs etc. We dressed the “models/volunteers” in our clothing line and sometimes they would be in the clothes for several hours. We then retagged the clothing with the swift gun and sold the garment. I don’t recall ever dry cleaning anything afterword although we may have done it once or twice. I do remember that everything was steamed to get the wrinkles out of it. Lol 😂 We were pretty conscientious though about leaving the clothing in good condition. Also, yes, most customer returns went back out on the racks. Most times we were fully aware that the garment had probably been worn when a customer returned it but there wasn’t much we could do about it. So unless the merchandise was damaged it went back out on the sales floor after it was tagged again. I imagine things have changed a little bit over the years but !hanks for asking that was super sweet and it takes me way back to my career in clothing! ❤️ By the way I get great enjoyment watching your channel and love your tiny little giggle
Ahh that makes sense. I think I've heard of boutique employees "modeling" the clothing during their shifts. I worked for two larger chain stores and they didn't ask us to do this - one didn't require that we wear their clothing specifically but something similar if it wasn't and the other did require that we wear their clothing but they gave us a pretty big discount when we were hired so that we could stock up on pieces to mix and match. Oh yes, the fashion shows! We didn't have them but I know that several boutiques and local shops did this. And the customer returns... well, I guess this is why they always say to wash clothing after you purchase it LOL! Totally get that there's nothing you can do about that. Thank you for sharing your insight and perspective on this!!
Absolutely!! Personally, I didn't know too much about it but looking back, it's like... dang. I could have started my OWN boutique with items that I actually wanted to sell 😂
You’re so beautiful and cute, You remind me of Tinkerbell.😶⭐️ Your makeup, outfit and environment aesthetic is very cohesive, elegant, feminine and pretty.
I think an important takeaway from this is if something is happening to you, it's most likely happening to others too (I'm sure Lizzie knows that now 😘) Remember, that's how people prey on others - they make people think they're the only one that feels that way, to make them doubt their own experience and sanity. A form of gaslighting. *edit* to add Lizzies laugh is the cutest ever! 😍
LOL! Aw Thanks so much Carmen :-) I'm always giggling lol! This is so true! I didn't realize that so many shared my experience until they started sharing... years after the fact. Absolutely!! The gaslighting and manipulation was unreal and I didn't see it for what it was until I was out for a while.
Knowing how pyramid schemes work (the people who get in early can make tons of money, the people who get in late lose tons of money), does a small part of you ever kick yourself for leaving? Obviously leaving was 100% the right choice, and staying + recruiting others would have required you do to some seriously unethical stuff... But I feel like if I was in your shoes, a tiny part of me would always wonder how much money I could have made if I had been willing to throw my morals away.
Wow, this is a really insightful question! To be honest, I have thought about that. I did get in "early" at around 1,000 consultants and just as I left, the company exploded in terms of growth. If I had stayed, I'm sure that I would have increased my finances quite a bit... and I definitely could have used it at that time. I probably would have been able to reach a lot of my goals that I'm still working toward. A lot of people didn't understand why I would want to leave when I did but to put it simply, money has never been my top priority (as strange as it sounds). I did not grow up with a lot of money and I have always been the type of person to pick my passion over finances. I'm also a very moral person and have always put other people before myself, even at my own expense. I do wonder what it would have been like just out of my curiosity and having not ever lived with that type of financial abundance. But the real cost is greater. I believe that it would have changed my life drastically in so many ways. I would probably be resentful that I chose that instead of my passion and that I lost my integrity to get ahead at the expense of others. Not saying this is how other people are but this is how I would have felt internally. I don't regret my decision one bit
Sold it for 2+ years (with success, so no sour grapes!) and can attest that the questionable business advice, the shunning, the “don’t be so negative!!” Is all 10000% true and then some.
Oof, in 2022?!? Damn, probably the worst decision of your life... and unlike the women in 2015, you have sooooo many warnings at this point and advance notice that it's a scam!
I agree that reselling something that has been worn as new is unethical.but based on your reaction....God help you if you ever bought anything for yourself at the Goodwill store. You'd either have a nervous breakdown or go into anaphylactic shock.
Hi Sunny! Thank you for your comment. I absolutely don't have anything against pre-loved or worn clothing/accessories. I have definitely shopped at Goodwill many times in the past and I frequently purchase and wear vintage clothing and accessories :-) I think it's a great way to give an item a new life while being kind to the environment. I have also worked at a few retail stores so I'm familiar with customers trying on or returning clothing. This situation is a bit different in my opinion. I just thought it was wrong to sell and market these items to customers as "brand new" when in reality they may have been worn out for who knows how long and sold to the unsuspecting customer unwashed and used at full price. It's just a deceptive practice. That's my issue with it - there is nothing wrong with used items as long as they are marketed as such. I have actually seen this practice firsthand so perhaps that's why I reacted so strongly.
I like you but like you like say like like too much. It’s your generation. Work on it. You’re beautiful!! (Like makes people sound stupid, it’s a filler word, like basically… haha!). Xoxo
Unsolicited advice - the constant giggling is annoying, I'd suggest editing or actively trying not to do it so much. That paired with the baby girl/stepford wife voice comes off as juvenile/unprofessional and hard to listen to
Hi Cait! Thank you for your comment. While I always welcome constructive criticism, I don't condone bullying. This is my real voice. I do not try to make myself sound like something I'm not - this is just how I sound. As for the giggling, I'm a happy, bubbly and positive person. I giggle a lot in my videos because this is authentic to who I am. This is a hard subject to talk about and to be honest, I was nervous to even share my story so that might account for a bit of the nervous laughter. This was a terrible situation and while I don't agree with this company and what I and many others have gone through, I also take responsibility for my choices and the lessons I learned from them. Speaking in a hateful and negative way is not true to who I am and being that this is my channel, I am free to tell my story in a way that is most genuine to me. If this is not what you are looking for, I urge you to check out the many other videos on this platform. Perhaps there is someone else that you will resonate with better.

Thank you! It's the perfect shade of light pink - goes with everything!
You worded your situation very well.It is a relatable story....
Thank you so much Jennifer!
Absolutely! This is so true. And great point about paying them to work!!
The clothes are fugly. Like what a sad old housewife thinks is fashion lmao
People that can’t bother to even say hello, I don’t wan’t anything to do with them.
Agreed :-)
It would be interesting to see how many people were accused of having not paid for inventory.
I would really love to know this too! Surely, I wasn't the only one.
All that time with just some cute outfits to show for it with whatever pieces you acquired, but then again, with a lot of lessons learned & great experience as well, which always helps us grow😊
I found your outfit styling in the pix you shared in the 1st video were adorable, looked effortless, & in my opinion, would've helped Lularoe sale more items by showing how well the pieces integrate into one's wardrobe.
Aw Thanks so much! I'm so glad that found my video too! And yes, "sweetie ie" is such a compliment - I appreciate it!
Jealous people do mean things. Those women saw someone who was beautiful & stylish. My guess is they were threatened by you and, since they weren’t nice people to start with, they dealt with it by ignoring or minimizing you.
Thank you Susan! This is very true, unfortunately. I have always struggled with self-confidence so this type of behavior can feel personal at times but I think that you are absolutely right
Can you write a book about it? Would be fun to read.
I'll never say never! We'll see what the future holds :-) Thank you so much!!
I’ve heard a ton of stories just like yours. It really is difficult to be successful in programs like this.
It really is! I'm hoping that my story helps others in some way
Less than 1% of folks that go into MLMs make a profit
It is so sad how many of the MLM companies take advantage of individuals who are trying to earn and make a living. I believe that retagging exists in many other organizations. How sad and disgusting is that yuck! There is so much money to be made to go around no need to be so greedy. I am glad that you shared your story and honesty.
It just breaks my heart :-( To be honest, it's not something I ever thought of until I saw it firsthand. Yikes! I agree. I think that most people were in it to better their life somehow but unfortunately, there were also some bad seeds in there that took advantage. Thank you Ingrid!
Just think if the consultants could sell what they wanted, luluroe would be beyond successful, but now they are found out
I do agree with you on that! I think the consultants would have been more successful selling items that they chose and having better prints to choose from. However, I think they'd be even more successful it they changed up the ownership LOL!
I like listening to you talk.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
Repeat: the CONSULTANT IS the Customer ☑️☑️
You are absolutely CORRECT!
I'm so sorry that you were treated so poorly.
Thank you Carlotta! I appreciate it
I'd thought they'd wash it at least before retagging...
One would only imagine lol!
Fyi retagging is common in retail i worked in clothing for years …. It happens …
The fact that not one woman realized they could have started their own online/pop up clothing business with that same $5k blows my mind.
Absolutely!! Personally, I didn't know too much about it but looking back, it's like... dang. I could have started my OWN boutique with items that I actually wanted to sell 😂
You’re so beautiful and cute, You remind me of Tinkerbell.😶⭐️
Your makeup, outfit and environment aesthetic is very cohesive, elegant, feminine and pretty.
Aww Thanks so much!! You made my day
I think an important takeaway from this is if something is happening to you, it's most likely happening to others too (I'm sure Lizzie knows that now 😘) Remember, that's how people prey on others - they make people think they're the only one that feels that way, to make them doubt their own experience and sanity.
Thank you for sharing
Of course! Thank you for watching
I looooove 🥰 your dress at the end. 😍😍😍
Thanks so much Natalie Sue!
Dont people have washing machines?
I hope so lol! But regardless, they shouldn't wear something and put the tag back on to sell - yuck.
Wow, you left the cult when it was growing. Respect!
Thank you very much for that!! One of the best decisions of my life!
Sold it for 2+ years (with success, so no sour grapes!) and can attest that the questionable business advice, the shunning, the “don’t be so negative!!” Is all 10000% true and then some.
Thank you so much for sharing this, Heather! I'm sad that you also had to experience this but glad to know that I'm not alone
I'm sorry you had such an awful experience. There is no excuse EVER for the mean girl thing, but among leadership?? Horrible.
Thanks so much Lisa! I appreciate it
Thats funny masonic 33 and 33 items
I started selling LuLaRoe. I respect the fact that there have been serious problems, but I'm currently documenting my journey on RUclips.
Wishing you the best on your journey
Oof, in 2022?!? Damn, probably the worst decision of your life... and unlike the women in 2015, you have sooooo many warnings at this point and advance notice that it's a scam!
They tried to get me to sell. Thank God for my introvert, I couldn’t
Oh really?? That doesn't surprise me! I'm a huge introvert too and definitely not a salesy person so... not the right industry for me haha!
@@LizzieinLace OK. I understand completely.
For some reason, with the pastels and your colouring, you remind me of little bo peep
LOL! Well, thank you! I do love my pastels :-)
I like you but like you like say like like too much. It’s your generation. Work on it. You’re beautiful!! (Like makes people sound stupid, it’s a filler word, like basically… haha!). Xoxo
Thank you for your constructive criticism
❤️
Sounds like a cult
Absolutely! The similarities are astonishing!
