I’ve been waiting to see if this would happen. 6.0’s have a favorable size/power/weight ratio. Cummins have always been popular for reliability and higher ultimate power potential, but 6.0’s rev faster and higher and make quicker boost and power. Reliability on six liters has been figured out. There’s more to performance than just dyno numbers. I think 6.0’s will become more popular for these types of builds once people look beyond all the bad reputation and focus on performance potential. They are hot rod engines.
I've considered a 6.0L in my military humvee but those iron heads over an aluminum head Duramax, thats a lot of weight on a already heavy platform. Cost effective but lighter packages available

you can get aluminum heads
I'm sure other gearheads might try new things with reliability
