Legacy Seal Hate Crew Deathroll

- Touring is usually constructed around one album cycle, and that cycle usually contains too many shows to remember them all. Inside the band we still use tours as time periods instead of years. Memories are often bound to a certain tour: if you cannot remember the year, just google the tour and there you have it.
Everything on stage, we as a band and the whole setup, represent a certain album and our music of that time period. One very essential part of the show is the backdrop and it also serves as a clue of what tour/year is in question: if we find a picture of us on stage with a certain backdrop we can somehow figure out or remember the venue and the tour we were on. That usually opens the gates of memories. Some of them are funny, some are sad, some are bitter or hilarious. Whatever they may be, we were five guys and did this together.
Hate Crew Deathroll album cycle was crazy. Such big things happened to us. We started to tour in the US and that was a whole new territory to us. Years back then were so wild and hectic that it is really hard to remember everything. We weren’t even 25 and got to see so many places in the world. That cycle took 3 years from us but definitely was worth it.
The backdrop from that tour has been laying in our warehouse since 2005 but obviously we didn’t want to throw it away. It is like a piece of furniture in your grandma’s place. If it could talk it could tell you so many weird, funny and amazing stories you wouldn’t believe or so hilarious that you would pee in your pants if you heard them.
When we quitted touring we started to think what to do with all the gear we have at the warehouse. Should we put them on auction or recycle them somehow? We started to think it would be cool if many people would enjoy them somehow. We ended up sharing the HCDR backdrop in a way that as many as possible would get part of it. To get part of the stories or history from that period of the band.
Memories grow sweeter with time, they say.

This is soo sad
I grow up listening to children of bodom and i always want to see a concert.
Its sad cause im 23 now, listen to cob since 13 and i will niver get that chance.
Cob has influenced me to play keyboard! i will never forget this band and alexi laiho, such a nice person with some awesome skills.
Long live Cob! Cheers from Brazil!
tb queria ter tido chance de ver um show deles aqui no brasil, pqp, o alexi faz mta falta
I'm 31 iv been listening to them since I was 13 14 i had many chances to see them but always said I'll see them next time that is one of my biggest regrets in life😭 it took me 17 years to finally see slipknot in 2019 in Toronto I am making it my goal now to go see any band I have a chance to see ill never say I'll see them next time
Im also 23 now, and im very glad that i saw bodom live in 2011, at least once.. Feel bad for you, keep i up, greets from finland
I feel you man. I'm in the similar situation of never having had a chance to see them live, sucks a fuckton, but to me what really matters is the journey of memories I've created associated with the music. I'm glad I got to share some experiences with friends and loved ones even just with the music, so I'm still happy with where I am.
@@Hatecrew4l1f3 Same story bro, also 31 and fan since hate crew, I even had tickets to their final show but because my friend cancelled I also fckd it didn't go. Then again I had tickets to Bodom After Midnight show and because covid I didn't go there because I thought that there would be safer and better opportunities the next summer.
This video breaks my heart. The void left by Alexi is unmeasurable.
It's truly sad.. may alexi rest in power 🤘🏻
Immeasurable *
I just wanna tell my humble story.
I thought on kill myself on 2019 after my granda death, and one day I was listening their music and I found more than a band. It was something amazing and till now I can't describe it.
Aleksi's voice bring me that strength I loose in that night I was thinking of ending with my life.
Just, bye.
Sold. Always regretted never seeing you guys play live but this is a piece of history from a band that taught me so much. Thank you guys for doing this!
I had to drive 10 hours to see them and would drive 50 if it meant seeing them again 😭
Saw them 11 times, always a great fcking show, especially on the 20th anniversary tour
i'm still a Hate Crew until now even though Alexi Laiho is gone, i still listen to the Children of Bodom songs forever 🤘Greetings from Indonesia Hate Crew
20 years ago, when i was in middle school it was alexi laiho that got me hooked. i still listen to the old albums. and will continue to follow the new hate crew
Cobhc for life 🤘🏻
Hi there fellow Indonesian Hate Crew 👊
Salken
This almost brings tears to my eyes. I NEVER thought I’d live to see the day. That it was all over……
The way they look above at the big HC pattern, like they were looking at Alexi in heaven. 😭
I've been listening to COB ever since I was 10 , I'm 26 now , I will always keep on playing your songs and enjoying them. My only regret is that I couldn't go to one of your concerts ..but still you got me through the most depressing times of my life when I was in my early 20's, everytime I was sad I would play your songs with my guitar. Thank you all for so many years of good music! RIP Alexi
We're the hatecrew, we stand and we won't fall 🤜🏻
It isn't cheap, but I bought one. I could not miss it. A t-shirt with the real HCDR backdrop. A part of a fabric, which saw Alexi, Alexander, and everyone in the background at Tuska 2003. And it has much much more stories...
Thank you.
( I think the remaining backdrop should stay with you. It belongs to you. If not, just a museum or the RIFF is the right way I think. )
I love how they shot this in a manly middle class working place like steel machining-forming plant. RIP Alexi, you were one of the best
I can't imagine how Mr. Warman, Mr. Raatikainen, Mr. Blacksmith, Mr. Kuoppala, Sir Latvala and the rest of the crew (including you!) are feeling today... but I can bet it has been a devastating year for everybody so far. Whether you think they are cashing in on nostalgia (heh - this actually doesn't make any sense - just think about it thoroughly!) OR they want to share the rags of together experienced decades... one thing remains certain... we all respect Alexi and the legacy of CoB carries on.
"Children Of Bodom, angry are rising
Running amok slaying with a sense of desire
From the twilight of the past, among the victims who died
Something wild has survived"
Thank you for making my childhood awsome.
Cob is the best thing that entered my life thank you cob and big thanks to the god Alexi 💔
Children Of Bodom Hate Crew forever! Thanks for all good years.🤘
The first live show I ever saw was Mastodon, Children of Bodom, Lamb of God, and Slayer. I will never forget Alexi’s stage presence and how well he played live. They are definitely one of my all time favorite bands. Thank you CoB for all you’ve done for music.
I first listened to you guys when I was like 17, never gave much thought about it til about a year later, I heard children of decadence and was hooked.. been a huge fan since. Breaks me to know bodom/alexi is no more, but the legacy lives on.. COBHC forever 🤘🏻
I am from Mexico and I´ve been listening Children of Bodom Since I was around 8 years, in 2011 I saw you live for the first time, since then I never lost a concert in my city, now I´m 25 years and I feel so sad to know that Children of Bodom will not exist anymore, but I love your music, You inspired me to be a metalhead and part of the Hate Crew since I was a kid, Alexi Laiho is my greatest inspiration for playing guitar, I will always remember you guys, you will be part of the history metal legacy, Thanks for everything, now I can´t buy a Shirt, but the name of the band will always be in my heart. Long Live the Hate Crew!
Aw damn right in the feels. Children of Bodom will always live on!
This is sick🤘
My immortals… 🤘🏽 Long live COBHC.. forever a hatecrew
Some big moments in my life are associated with Hate Crew Deathroll. Had that album going nonstop in 2009. 28 now, and I still have to give it a few listens every fall. It always make me feel 16 again, going to see Bodom live, music with friends, metal references all the time.
I cant buy this since i live in a god damn wreck of a country but i appreciate this so much as a fan, thanks.
We're hate crew, we stand and we won't fall...
We're all for none and none for all!!!
So glad I got to see Alexi live, It's time to start a group called Bastards of Bodom, everyone that was ever in the band or Bodom After Midnight
COBHC FORVER!!!! RIP ALEXI LAIHO. MISS YOU MAN.
I feel lucky that I managed to see Children of Bodom live in Tornio in 2019. It was the only gig I've seen from them and the energy was something from another planet. Rest in peace Alexi Laiho. Your guitar playing has influenced many and will continue to inspire new guitar players.
already put my order in. long live the hatecrew
YES!!! I’m getting 3 T-shirts 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 I’ve been looking for this logo and now it’s back with QUALITY
Why does this make me tear up? I love you guys. I ordered a shirt. I can't wait for it to get here. COBHC Forever.
probably the same reason i did, first show i ever saw, they had that backdrop, seeing how important it was to them and the fact theyve done what they have to allow fans to own a piece of history is kinda bittersweet, its like seeing an old friend for the last time. at least thats what got me.
@@liambitchezz I don't think I ever saw the banner. I first saw them in 2008. Way past HCDR.
@@andrewknutson91 fair man, either way the blooddrunk era was also sick as fuck.
@@liambitchezz Yes, it fucking was. 🤘
That era is why my chosen axe is a pinky xD blood drunk was possibly the peak of onstage talent with the members and their respective skills.
Oh my God I'm gonna cry, this is amazing. Words do not express.
COBHC!!!
Please do a documentary, sincerely, a new fan. Hate Crew Deathroll is one of the best albums ever. COBHC forever
I never bring up the sadness of him gone but this video really does capture the sadness of it. You see it in all of them. Long live.
Guys you made me cry. You started it, nothing can destroy it. Hate Crew Family worldwide!
This is a really badass idea and the commercial is even more badass! Kudos to whoever had the idea, genius
I’ll never forget being 15 years old seeing them direct support for BLS in Texas. Screamed every lyric and air guitar’d to every song. Haven’t thought about that show in a while. It’s been half a year and it still feels so fucking unreal. RIP Alexi
I love you forever guys! Thanks for all the wonderful moments in my life
This brought tears in my eyes.. 😑 but I will get this shirt!
I have watched this a lot and it gets me every time. I love you guys and this despite alexi's flaws he is still with us and bodom will always live on through all of you! Kim, Hennka, Jaska, Roope, Janne, Alex,
I was at their concert in 2019th january and it was the best concert in my life! and i'm not saying it because of Alexi, it was literally THE best concert in my life the only two things that came close were Megadeth best songs in a small club where i was so close to the stage that Dave's sweat was on me and probably Iron Maiden's final Frontier tour. The energy at Bodom concert was SO INTENSE, people were crowd diving and slaming their a** off, i was slammed by a crowd diver twice!.... It was awesome. Thank yo hate crew, thank you to all the band members and thank you Alexi that you have created such a memory for me!
Damn. Making me get teary eyed. Cheers for the decades of music and memories. Still spread Haye Crew love everywhere I go.
Just put my order in. First time I saw bodom was on the Hate Crew tour in 2003 at the Mean Fiddler in London. That show changed so much for me, so happy to get a piece of that memory
PLEASE!! Make a documentary, we NEED it!
This makes my soul shatter
Hate crew forever
Long live bodom
This is very good idea
🥺😔 Long Live COB..
R.ip Alexi Laiho
Grew up with COB (favorite band), it's so sad that I see this one day later just to see they sold out - I hope that they weren't bought by someone who will resell them, but by true COB fans...
I've found an ALX V-600 SE Pinky. I'm a C.O.B.H.C. forever and yes, that T-shirt looks awesome
Oh my God this is gonna make me cry... Holy shit.😭😭
Hello hate crew, my name is Daniel Fuentes, my life is cob and alexi laiho is my influence of my percepción of life in all children time, alexi change of dimensión, a moment again of cob legacy.
Kitos, yayahooo lml dethroll time
Son los mejores de esta última generación, los agradezco mucho por su música, gracias a Alexi Laiho tuve el valor de tocar la guitarra, los quiero mucho y gracias por su música.
Чертовски душевное видео.
Такое чувство что парни скучают по временам Children Of Bodom 🤘🏼
Парни хотят дожать последнее из легенды, новая реклама мерча
@@Helg_Laiho Кстати да...
This is awesome. Hotels used to cut up sheets the Beatles slept in and sold them. I would be willing to buy just a piece of the backdrop and frame it.
This is heartwrenching. Long live the hate crew! \m/
I must add to this, The first time I saw you guys headlining. It was right after Are you dead yet was released. You played We're not gonna fall" which was my favorite song off the album. Didn't expect it but was the best moment. I left that concert with a single tear like "Crybaby" so overwhelmed with joy it was played. My buddy made fun of me but it still stands as one of my favorite moments
the BEST BAND in the world... Always Was, Always Will Be ...
Rest in peace alexi 🖤 thanks for the memories
Crying hard with this :(
And y'all were at the warehouse and everything to do this. That's full commitment right there.
That's my workplace
This hits you hard...straight to the heart
This sent shivers down my spine.
To hear the end of cob was the saddest thing for me, and that went to the depth following the passing of my hero alexi
COB made me start listening metal music and playing guitar because of their amazings riffs and solos, I had a chance to see them in Belgium but the live was cancelled because of terrorism threath lvl still have this place somewhere at home, the legacy will carry on forever
I fucking love you guys
We miss you Alex!
I love the Story, I love the Band and I love the music. Hatecrew 4ever. However, 75€ for a Shirt is far beyond reality, even if I would love to own a piece of your backdrop.
I swear, Alexi wouldn't appreciate this. He damn sure wouldn't approve of this. First it was socks and now this. They stole the rights to Bodom from him to profit off of him.
@@Charles_Anthony Those are his brothers right there. I disagree, I think he would be honored. He loved his fans and his brothers. It's not like it's just for profit. They lived their lives together
LONG LIVE BODOM!!!
Alexi would be very proud… #RIP 🤘🏼
first concert i ever went to was amon amarth, bodom and trivium
HATE CREW 4 LIFE 🤘🤘
I love children of bodom and sinergy. Rest in peace Alexi, your music is eternal. Rope needs to come back and play some songs!
Alexi... Rip...
Roope kicked out...
Sad
I love the activity in the channel guys! Keep it up! We want more children of bodom in the future, maybe with another name, who knows, but we want more!
WE STAND AND WONT FALL
We're all for none, and none for aaaaaaaaall.
Please keep the legacy alive guys 🥺
This made Me cry
One last time? To finish the story? Thanks guys. Stay strong. RIP Alexi Laiho
Would buy kilos of shirts, but also want to see you back on track .. cause you're the best and at you can try at least!!!
Деба таа работа ...
Alexi made a masterpiece and the band is a legend
FUCKK just found out about this, man how I wish I could of get one!
COB forever 💪
Missing Laiho a lot more than I can say 🥺
I think hate crew deathroll was their best album.
Get a grip guys. Everything shouldn't be about money.
🤘❤️
Best band in the world
Where is Daniel?
im crying
Saw the band on that tour for the first time (twice), so actually I should have the shirt, but then again... 75€! 😱 For a t-shirt. I think someone else gets my copy.
Children was my first ever metal band. Downfall was the riff that started guitar for me. I fucking love you. I owe you for getting me through life with metal. I have Alexis signature guitar which is fucking awesome (hard to play V's for me though). Gonna get a huge bodom poster in the middle of my living rom. Alexi was easily top 5 metal gitarist of ALL TIME! EVER! Im rambling. Anyways cheers from Norway. Hope you are doing ok
So are you guys starting another band?
Children Of Bodom Forever
Got one.
Where can I find a closer look at the venue list on the back of the T? Id like to confirm if i attended those shows or not! :) I think my first time seeing COB was November (and December lol) 2005 at Medley in Montreal.
Does this mean they're gonna start making music again😃
I want to believe it, even though I know that who created the songs was basically alexi laiho alone
Alexi is always looking for you guys...
I ready order one..with memory COBHC legacy..maybe one day,i have signature in on this shirt form bodom..
мои любимцы, обожаю вас парни, жаль, что всё закончилось😢
If someone regrets their purchase, I would very much love to take the place. Real sad that I missed this opportunity :(
