Just the pads. Only if you had paid to have them replaced the first time on the front and the back. Then they are lifetime as long as you own the vehicle cuz it is saved on the Honda system. Alot of people don't know that and some people who do have the lifetime go somewhere else and have them replaced with aftermarket ones which they don't have to and people who knows will always come back for them

my daughters civic needs struts and brake pads. The place i took it to uses kyb struts and akebono brake pads .are they good products? or should she go to a honda dealership and have honda oe.

Honda oem brake pads are akebono. I don't know where you are from but customers that get their brakes done at a honda dealership get life time pads and only pay for the labour to machine the rotors here in BC. Are they replacing the entire strut assembly or just the shocks that are kyb and transfering the spring and top hat over to the new shock?

KYB makes good struts. I have and have had them on my cars. I don't know anything about Akebono brake pads.

I had an Accord from the late 2000s, it was by far the worst car that I have ever owned. It had all there issues with weak suspension, stabilizer links, subframe rusted and engine blew a cylinder. It started to burn oil first blowing the engine. This was the first Honda that I have ever owned where I replaced the starter. Absolute poor quality Hondas.
