I was going to take my truck in for a new fuel pump. After watching this video I checked the fuse and it was burned exactly like this one. Thank you, man, you saved me some serious cabbage!
Bro fkn love u man bro i was already infront of the mechanic shop checked it and i fixed it my self!! may the lord bless u especially in these hard times .
Made my week, spent almost 2 weeks procrastinating taking it to the shop because I didn’t want to spend the money but did a small bit of research and found this, amazing content
Apparently the dealership said that a fuse is 1,100$ to replaced but then you video popped out and you my man became my new super hero, thank you so much...
Literally was about to swap my dad's fuel pump in a safeway parking lot, watched this video He had the same burnt fuse I swapped it for one of the Spares and he's on the road again!!!! Thank you from Alberta Canada - one tired tech
I can't believe it. My daughter called me while I'm on my way to work this morning saying her truck wouldn't start. I turned around and figured it was going to be the battery. Well, the truck was cranking over, just not starting. Thought I was gonna have to tow it in. Found this video, and I'll be damned. Pulled #27, and it was a little rusty and corroded. Used the dremel to clean it off until I could get another fuse, popped it in and she cranked right up!!!! Thank you so much for posting this video. It's the stupid little obscure stuff like this that you'd almost never figure out on your own. Many thanks!
Saved me. Truck started fine in the morning. Took it to emissions. They have you shut the truck off. When they asked me to turn it on it wouldnt start. Truck passed the "key on" emissions. We pushed my truck out of the garage. Thats when google searched n found this video. So only 10$ later she is up n running again. Thank you very much!
Watched this video 10 min after my truck did the same thing at the grocery store was able to run back inside and buy the fuses and fired right up thanks man you saved me a tow bill and a shop bill
This video saved my life this morning!!! Pulled over to make a phone call on the highway went to start the truck, nothing happened, Googled F150 no start this was the first video that popped up after watching the video, check the fuse box, fuse is burnt to a crisp, swapped it with another fuse, fired right up!! Thank God!!
Great video, made me look like Super Dad, my son’s truck was doing this, I walked out and said lets check fuse 27. Looked just like the one on the video. New fuse , started right up. Thank You for taking the time to make this video. Saved his week end and a big shop bill.
😊Thank you so much. Hubby has cancer and we just paid the truck off, then, of course, the problems start. He was devastated. Watched your video, and bandaging there was the problem. 😊😊❤
Can’t thank you enough. Was cranking over, but wouldn’t start and I couldn’t figure it out. Was just about to get towed when I found this. Worked like a charm!!
Crank but no start. 2013 F150. Was looking at a tow and diagnostic charge. Pulled the same fuse and it was burnt , I replaced it and it started right up. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your expertise.
Had the same problem.. had it towed to Ford dealer.. got home and watched your video.. fuse 27 looked identical to yours... a .50 cent fixed saved me $100.00s. Thank you for posting
Thanks a bunch for this video. Saved me on a very busy day. I robbed Peter to pay Paul and I was on my way to. Even better than that, I recovered 2.6 per gallon. Have a great weekend. Be well.
Was having the same problem, went and pulled the fuse. Same thing. Burnt. Thanks for the video. Saved me from dropping my tank and wasting money on a fuel pump.
Was about to call the dealership in the morning, have a warranty on a 2011 xlt . Need it to tow my camper for Memorial day weekend. Pulled that fuse looked the same, put a new fuse in and started right up. Thanks dude.
Thought I had my problem locked with a new battery then ran into a no start again today. Thanks for the video. Exactly as you showed it was a burned up fuse.
Man just found your video, I have 2013 F-150 with same problem, just did what you said and changed the fuse, truck runs like a champ, differently will be supporting your videos $$$
A year later and you’re still the man just happened to me 100 miles from home. Noticed it started acting up stopped to get gas and bam no start. You’re the man bro 👍✌️. TSBs are a life saver.
I just want to say thank you. Truck turn off right in front of my house. The truck is not mines so I had no idea on what to do. This sure got me on the road again! You save me towing and a mechanic.
I had this problem intermittently and never knew when it was going to happen next. Got stranded at the gas station yesterday and found your video. Sure enough that fuse was melted and toast. Removing it broke the blade off. Another quick Google I stole the fuse from the power locks inside and popped it in, fixed and was on my way. Thank you!
When I bought the new fuse, I also bought a box of extra 20amps and a box of assorted fuses and put them in the glove box for those Oh Shit moments. Good to know I can pull the power locks if needed.
I just want to add my thanks to you and echo the other 404 comments. Same fuse, burnt in the same way. This was the 4th time it had done this to me. Only this time it must have finally burnt the fuse all the way through. I was sick and waiting at a medical clinic. (Car waiting covid rules). And it was getting colder by the second. Thanks to you, cost me nothing had a small sack of fuses on hand. No tow bill. No shop bill. No hassle. We should all be sending you money. Because you sure saved me a ton.
I was having no start with a bunch of weird codes. I just chalked it up to a low voltage problem that caused them. This saved me a bunch of time thanks!
This video might be the best video on RUclips! You just saved me a tow, diagnostics, and of course the price of dealership fuse. For $1 I'm back on the road! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Wow! Thanks for this video. 2012 f150 cranked but would not fire. Opened the fuse box and went straight to the burnt fuse. Exactly as you described. Thanks for saving me a ton of time and money!!!
Man, thanks alot. My cousin car had the same problem,I fix it thanks to you. The repair shop put a new fuel pump and the same problem. I saw your video and the problen is fixed. I owe you a 🍺.
THANK YOU!! I was about to start dropping the tank on my truck and I came across your video. Sure enough, my fuse looks identical to the one you showed. As soon as I opened the fuse box and looked at the top of the fuse, I knew that was the problem. I could see black through the top of the fuse. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to post this video!! Thanks to you, I won't spend my Saturday under my truck, and waste a bunch of money as well.
Man u spend like 30 min watching RUclips videos before I even touch my truck then I changed my search and first video this one walk out my truck take same fuse out boom God bless internet, God bless RUclips God bless people helping people and over all God bless you sir thank you sooooo much.
Yes, yes yes just had repair shop look at the same problem but they were unable to find the problem. After watching your video I removed fuse 27 and to my amazement burnt fuse, replaced and runs good as new. Many many thanks for your post!
Just had it happened to my 2013. I wish I would have watched this before I paid to have it towed. Replaced the fuel pump control module and fuse. So far so good. Thanks for the video.
I was about to spend a lot of money on my truck and came across this video.. same thing with the fuse.. thank you very so much.. I feel like I owe you a beer!!
I had to stop and thank you today. My 2014 F150 would not start in the Lowes parking lot yesterday. I had this happen about a month ago but it started after about ten minutes and had not been a problem until yesterday. This time no go. I call my mechanic and he says get it towed to him. Call AAA but my renewed card is with my wife and she is out of cell range. I grabbed my phone, googled 2014 F150 cranks wont start and there is your video. I grab my leatherman needle nose, pull the fuse and it is burnt just like yours in the video. I stick it back in and she starts right up. I felt like friggin' McGyver! Replaced the fuse today. Bought a 5 pack at Pep Boys for 3 bucks. Thank you so much for your video! You saved me a LOT of grief.
Great video. You didn't mention but it's important to note that the fuse link was not burned... in other words current continued to flow through the fuse and if you put a continuity meter on it, the fuse would read that it was fine. It was the contact/prong which caused the issues.
THANK YOU... Just had same issue 2013 Ford Raptor SVT 6.2. Trying to leave for work, no start. Found your youtube video. You are my saviour! Appreciate your help! CANADA 👍
just another random here.. thank you so much for this video; repair shop wanted to charge me $1000 to replace the fuel pump. Changed the fuse which was a lot worse than yours and the truck started up after cranking for about 3 seconds
This video saved me hundreds of dollars. Had the exact same problem, found this video, replaced the fuse, truck starts and runs fine. Any idea what causes this fuse to burn out?
I had the same vehicle today. Same issue although I had fuel pump primary and injector open circuits. This was a crank no start, after verifying no power to pump when commanded I checked fuse and by touching I heard relays clicking and everything worked. Closer inspection revealed a burnt fuse and socket... and then I checked for tsbs, I installed the relocation kit and we are golden!!
Thanks so much for your informative video, it really saved me a ton of money. $2 fuse vs $150 tow + $200 diagnostics at the Ford dealer. I fixed it quickly with your help, thanks again!
Awesome to hear buddy. There is an updated part that changes the fuse from a small blade to a mini and relocate fuse in another location in the fuse box. May want to look into getting that done so the fuse doesn’t continue to blow
I’m going to give that A try. That’s the craziest thing I ever heard but worth giving it A shot. Thanks so much. (2nd time it’s had me stranded) This sounds like exactly what it could be.
A man save me some money on this I was think it was the pump already. Saw your video like 2 hours ago and not got the truck running thank bro god bless life saver
Happen four times left me stranded and then restarted the next day once I assume cools down it’s been to the dealer twice Towed both times. This just happened to me at a gas station that was next to a auto repair facility. I watch the video walk next-door but if he was for two dollars put it in and I’m now driving down the road. Thank you sir!
Not sure if you have the Time to answer. I have a 2016 f-150. I had it where it kept cranking wouldn’t turn over. I physically had to turn the key to off position to stop cranking. It finally turned over big cloud of white smoke came out tailpipe. Never had a problem since starting it with a lot of white smoke? I’m going to take it to the dealer but I hope they just don’t put a computer on it check for codes and say it’s fine. I want to make sure I’m not going to have any issues down the road. I’ve checked the coolant and it’s up to level so I don’t think it’s a broken head bolt. Oil pressure is fine oil fine. Could it be a sensor? Or ignition switch? Thanks for all your videos love watching them😊
Nice video! Run into that one once before. Got to love identifix. I remember the days before all these online tech databases. We had to go find a huge, dusty, greasy, wadded up, hardbound mitchell manual only to find the page torn out and then go out and find the problem yourself. Oh those were the days.... LOL
Thank you soooo much! My 2013 F150 wouldn’t start today after driving it yesterday. Checked the fuse and that was it! Saved me a lot of time and aggravation.
Cody you are the man, berry appreciate your video sir, I was worried something happened to my truck when it cranks won’t start even though radio AC radio works. Then I opened the fuse box and saw burnt fuse from surface and replaced with 20A. This is happened to me when I install new battery
F-150 XLT I knew it had something to do with the electrical system running the fuel pump. Thought it was the relay but as you showed it was the fuse. Mine looked exactly like the one that you pulled. Thank You Thank You Thank You.
Hey, Cody, I saw the video good stuff. Dude, my truck is a 2014 as well. With the same crank but no start problem. Fuse is fine so I don't know where to go too now
Hooked up a battery charger to quick start and noticed it fluctuating back and forth, but then it eventually started. Replaced my battery only because it had been a couple years ago in Arizona so why not....that didn't fix the problem. I watched your video and vwalla burned fuse replaced for under 2 bucks. I wish everything was this easy. Thanks for the video
Thanks so much for this video. You just saved me a lot of money. A couple of minutes of watching your video. Pulled out the fuse. Got a ride to the Auto Zone, bought the fuse, installed it and started right up. Any idea what might have caused the fuse to burn out?
I wanted to add a comment to describe the issues I was having with my 2013 F150. The problem started a few months ago and it would long crank but wouldn't start but it was an intermittent problem. Sometimes it wouldn't start and sometimes it would start right up. Then it started happening more frequently until one day it wouldn't start at all. After watching this video, I checked my fuse and it looked exactly like the fuse in this video. Replaced the fuse and it started right up. Question is, what's causing the fuse to overheat?
You my friend are a life saver! Great video outstanding explanation! Thank you so much for your help. Saved me a lot of $$$ and aggravation for a 96 cent fuse and 5 minutes of my time. The only caution I would add is wiggle the fuse in all directions and pull it out gently, because these fuses are pretty well burned and can break off in the fuse box!
Thank you so much for this video. I'd spent several hundreds of dollars on the identical problem but the shop couldn't find anything for the same reason--it started and ran at their facility. After watching your video, I went out and looked at the same fuse in my fusebox. Sure enough, the fuse was corroded and broke apart--fun digging the pieces out. I got a replacement fuse and installed and BAM! the truck started immediately! You guys are my heroes!
I have a '96 f150 will turn over but will not fire up I checked all the fuses and they are all good I'm thinking it might be a relay or something any help is very appreciated I do not trust shops so I'm going to have to figure it out myself and don't have a lot of cash but I do need my truck running
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 just dropped $300 on new 15ft scope leads, BNC to Banana for pressure pulse sensor, and some other highly needed trinkets for my next video 😉👍... Now it's just time for a new phone among many other things, because my camera is cracked from Lord knows what...filming has been on hold 🙄 Anyways, I really like those thermal imagers, they show incredible detail and I can see myself utilizing it often for a number of reasons.
It’s all a money game bro, I know his app to well. Hope the new shop is treating you right and your killing it over there. Don’t tease me saying your doing a video bro😂
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 oh it's coming, just waiting on a few key items my friend! New shop is great, very busy, same crap different uniform, but more $$$ for sure🤑🙂
Nice find man. Found same issue for a intermittent blower on a late model Durango. The fuse was burnt. It got a fuse box. And the connector under the box.
Saved my truck tonight man! Thank you! Something so simple, just needed the husband to hold the flashlight! 😂 We are also looking into the newer video to prevent it from burning again! Thanks again!
Thanks for posting this vid. Another save! Exactly my issue. Used a FIXD code reader which produced the B11D8 code. I googled 2014 F150 B11D8 and found your video.
Thank you for this video! My exact problem fixed! But now I've noticed after replacing the fuse, that I'm getting terrible gas mileage! Any thoughts on that?

Wow your awesome! Fixed my truck. I just swapped it with another one real quick just to get home. Life saver!!!
Thank you. I been fighting the same problem for a week run sometimes then not. Burnt fuse changed and runs great... thanks again..
Awesome to hear! Glad I could help
You're awesome for this man. I was highly upset and stressed and you saved me and my contact during this terrible pandemic
Thanks buddy! Happy I could help
Thank you soooo much! My 2013 F150 wouldn’t start today after driving it yesterday. Checked the fuse and that was it! Saved me a lot of time and aggravation.
Awesome to hear!
I cannot thank you enough! After experiencing the same issues I walked out to my truck opened up the box and had the exact same issue!
Franco M happy to hear that!
Nice 🤘
Huge thanks to you for posting this very informative video.
Fixed my 2014 for under $2.00!
Thank you for this video! This was exactly my problem and easy fix with my 2013 F-150.
Nice!
Same truck same problem, 😊
Hey, Cody, I saw the video good stuff. Dude, my truck is a 2014 as well. With the same crank but no start problem. Fuse is fine so I don't know where to go too now
Spot on brother! Your video just saved my day. And for the bonus, ironically, there is a spare 20a fuse in the inside passenger kick panel IN SLOT 27😂
Done a few of those relocation kits pretty easy usually if you pull the fuse it'll be a bit burnt
Thanks brother you are a good help. Just fix my truck just like that you’re the man.
I had the same problem, replaced the fuse problem solved. Thanks a lot.
That’s awesome to hear, I’m happy to help
Thank you some much for your help . We were stuck at the border today and this video saved us.
I have a '96 f150 will turn over but will not fire up I checked all the fuses and they are all good I'm thinking it might be a relay or something any help is very appreciated I do not trust shops so I'm going to have to figure it out myself and don't have a lot of cash but I do need my truck running
The music choices though 👍👍👍..."It's not acting up at the moment..." Story of my life this week..😩
Gotta get me a thermal imager!
Great video Cody!
Yes you need to get one eventually bro! Thanks Pauly!
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 just dropped $300 on new 15ft scope leads, BNC to Banana for pressure pulse sensor, and some other highly needed trinkets for my next video 😉👍...
Now it's just time for a new phone among many other things, because my camera is cracked from Lord knows what...filming has been on hold 🙄
Anyways, I really like those thermal imagers, they show incredible detail and I can see myself utilizing it often for a number of reasons.
PAULY'S AUTO happy to hear it was a good move buddy.
Nice find man. Found same issue for a intermittent blower on a late model Durango. The fuse was burnt. It got a fuse box. And the connector under the box.
Nice! How did you end up finding the issue? Voltage drop by chance?
Saved my truck tonight man! Thank you! Something so simple, just needed the husband to hold the flashlight! 😂 We are also looking into the newer video to prevent it from burning again! Thanks again!
Happy to hear it helped
Thanks for posting this vid. Another save! Exactly my issue. Used a FIXD code reader which produced the B11D8 code. I googled 2014 F150 B11D8 and found your video.
Have the exact same issue. Why causes the fuse to go bad tho.??
There is a TSB to relocate and change the fuse blade type
THAT WAS A GOOD ONE , GOT TO GET ME A THERMAL CAMERA IT WAS A GREAT HELP THANKS CODY AND PLEASE MORE VIDEOS MAN !
Always appreciate you stopping by! There are lots of great companies making these cameras now. Definitely a great addition for o the collection
saved another person man! Thank you for your help was thinking I needed a fuel pump
Thanks for the video. It just saved me 500 plus on parts for plugs and packs that I was thinking it was. 😅
Thank you for this video! My exact problem fixed! But now I've noticed after replacing the fuse, that I'm getting terrible gas mileage! Any thoughts on that?
Thank you sir! Very simple fix. Had I known this information, I could have saved myself a tow. Ford should be notifying all owners of this.
Thank you so much. That saved me from replacing the fuel pump!!
This video just saved my ass.
$4 fix! Bless your soul🙏
Happy to help
Thank you so much! Just saved me a tow, a headache, and handful of $$ 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I followed the instructions and it was the fuse.
You saved me a lot of money 💰!!
Thank you
Awesome!
I just had this exact same thing happen and this video helped a ton. Thank you.
