- Belinda Carlisle performing "Circle In The Sand" live and being interviewed by Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show (6/16/1988). Captured from my old VHS tape recording.
Even today she sings live. Respect to this beautiful woman. ❤️
Man, Belinda was SO adorable at age 29!!
Belinda was popular here in the UK for many years.
A ridiculously talented and gorgeous artist with possibly the most beautiful pair of eyes I've ever seen on anybody! 💞
-Chris X
cheekbones, nose, teeth--she was a talent and a beauty
A--MEN!!
Don’t forget those eyes.
still is
still is beautiful and her lovely eyes. Im fall in love
God she’s just adorable 😍
Amazing - stunning
I love her voice, and this is my favourite Belinda song, i could listen to it forever...
Watching the Go Go's back together at the RR Hall of Fame in 2021 performing and killing it was great to see.
Yes it was!
Usually when I watch a Belinda Carlisle performance my eyes are glued on her - for obvious reasons! But this time I found my gaze drifting frequently across to the guitar player. He is very good. He has a great sense of time and rhythm and control over his playing. The solo is imaginative and very melodic - much better than the original. Compare this with the same song performed on the Runaway Horses Tour - no comparison! Well done Mr Rick Boston - you are clearly a cut above the regular back up guitarist. I wish you had also been hired on the Runaway Horses Tour.
I noticed this too, yes the guitar work really stands out
Gawd I love this song. Underappreciated classic, overshadowed by Heaven is a Place on Earth…. So different but just as good. I’m glad she still includes it in live shows to this day….. and she’s done some amazing acoustic versions too.
Lovely Belinda !!
Such an amazing vocal! Thanks for sharing this. 📼
I remember this exact time i was sixteen and watched the Johnny Carson show all the time it's like almost going back in time.
Thank goodness for preserving this!
Fantastic interview.
Back when live performers could sing even when they weren't lip-synching.
Great to see and hear singers singing not rapping or lip synching
I was working nights at the time so I missed this telecast. Thanks for posting this great memory. This is beautiful.
PERFECT it is
Man
Fist time seeing this
Fuckin 80s rules
Damn, I'm old. edit - I miss the 80s.
You ain't alone dude
Wow,
Belinda Looks Like Ann Margaret.
Gorgeous
Wow, so many comments about Johnny and his questions, but none about Bill sitting next to her. Weird!
Only on the Tonight Show
yo creo que el solo de guitarra es muy , muy bueno!!!
I still have the Album
Any chance you could improve the picture quality ? #HD

Thanks again Forever much
Who is the guitarist?
That is ace guitarist Rick Boston
I was wondering the same thing. I thought it was Terry Silva from Karate Kid 3.
GTA 5👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
BABE :)
Belinda watch your cup when you’re sitting next to Cosby!
Man Johnny is obsessed with hair color. How about talk about her music... the song she just sang.
Back when they could really sing
She looked so amazing here. Not sure about the interviewer though, went on about green hair a bit too much
Adrian Paul on guitar.
NOPE!! That is RICK BOSTON playing guitar, & Eric Pressly on Bass, & the dark haired back-up singer is Donna DeLory -- who sang back-up for Madonna for years....
Great performance. Bad quality video.
ah yes, the slow degrading process of vhs recordings
This is probably a tape overdubbed a several times and when we have the fact that You Tube overcompresses the video and sound, the end result is this kind of garbage...
Not a good song for her
@@TheLionTheLambRom1221 agreed this song is a banger one of my favourites
@Suzanne uh negative it's an excellent song,....
@@TheLionTheLambRom1221 Play some GTA 5 and drive while listening to this.
Bullshit one of her best.
...like every song she "sang"...
