Ah the 80's....no mobile phone ,no internet , civilised people, great artists, opened minded people enjoying life.....not like today
And us 30 year old somethings missed it. Damn! At least I got 10-15 years anyway before the phones became a big thing for the average joe.
And speaking of civilized people you can see the shift by how most people online talk to each other. I remember back in like 2000-2002 I posted in dozens of message boards. Everybody was so cool and it was kind of a new novelty. everybody had fun typing to each other and sharing their mind. Nowadays all you see is arguments from arrogant insecure ego maniacs talking completely disrespectfully to each other because they think they look cool or smart. Meanwhile IRL they're just miserable insecure fucks with nothing else to do. You see this on YT constantly lol it's nuts.
I want to go back to those days where everybody was happy & secure in themselves and loved interacting like a normal person should.
I know I’d love to go back, when life was so much simpler. I bloody hate technology I really do. I like the simple things in life I even hate this fone, I could honestly live without one 😀. Take me back to the 80’s ❤️

I absolutely love this song. I remember when it came out in the 80s. What a beautiful melody, especially in the pre chorus. I’m definitely hearing some Stevie Nicks in Belinda’s delivery. However, Belinda is very special in her own way. Classic.

I was in London sleeping rough for a night. I was stood in a shop with this song playing in the background. I began to think about how l was going to get back to Cambridge , just as l was thinking this , the line , " baby can you hear me ," reached out to me in a super natural way. I knew straight away God was telling me to do just what l was thinking , get back to Cambridge. I had no money. I had blisters on my feet. As l was wondering around , l saw a sign for Westminster hospital. So my feet being what they were l thought l might get some treatment for them. Now this was about 4 or 5 o clock in the morning. So l went in , spoke to a nurse concerning my feet. She went off then came back with a bowl of liquid. So l put my feet in it. Then after a short while l put my shoes and socks back on , and just sat down , along with walking around the reception room. I didn't realise at the time they were letting me stay out of kindness l guess. Anyway after a while l realised that maybe l could get some help in getting back to Cambridge. I spoke to a senior nurse , told her my circumstances that l wss a patient in a psychiatric hospital near Cambridge , can she help me. She made a phonecall. A while later a young woman came to me , she had a train ticket back to Cambridge and a couple of quid for the bus fare to get to the train station.( Kings Cross.?) And so l got back to Cambridge. Amazing how it worked out. Thankyou Nurses. St Michael.
This all happened in the summer of 1988 . ( The donut shop / cafe to green grocers shop occurred then.)
