Coming back after yearss. Still sounds incredible. How come this song is soo underrated!! Definitely deserves more listeners altho I enjoy gatekeeping❤
If you just get it together and read my mind Then sleeping will be easy. And then I'll be there to acquiesce I confess I'm in trouble Another afternoon of increments, And asking the wrong questions. Then you get up and leave again, Just as the evening, threatens to set. Consider this now it's not too late, I have watched you change The colour of the trap before girl I have learned to wait. Most of the things that you say I don't understand but I will sit and listen. I nod along attentively, But the truth is I can't concentrate. Consider this now it's not too late I have watched you change The colour of the trap before girl I have learned to wait. Make no mistake I have learned to wait And you have learned that you can make me I need something to sort me out I need someone to come and shake me And your exit calms me down Before it infuriates me Girl I'm in trouble Wish you'd just get it together and read my mind
Although a reference of John Lennon to Alex Turner may be wrong on how much impact they had on the world, The Arctic Monkeys are definitely the big band of our generation, the 60's had the beatles, the 70's had the sex pistols, the 90's had Oasis, and the Arctic Monkeys are just that band of the last ten years.
Smiths of The 80's. Shame guitar music kinda plateaued this past decade, I suppose maybe the closest was Foals and a continuation of bands ruling the roost from the previous decade.
Alex Turner may have written this song, but no one can perform it like Miles Kane. I know Alex has covered it and he can because it's basically his song but I think Miles' Beatles-esque voice is what really makes his version unique and addictive to listen to. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fangirl for Alex and admire his talent for songwriting and performing but Miles Kane is also talented as hell and there are certain songs that I feel only he can perform without making them sound generic. I really wish people appreciated Miles more instead of sleeping on him. I'm guilty of doing this but I have since decided to listen to more of his stuff and I find that I love it.
miles is not only a talented man but also a kind and loyal person who doesn't forget about the fans he has in the country which is often forgotten in terms of doing a gig! İstanbul is looking forward to filling into otto santral!
Miles' voice is more boyish than Alex's, which I feel fits this song better. Plus it's his song, not even Alex can outdo him, at least that's how I feel. I can't imagine Miles singing a song off Submarine better than Alex, though I'd love to see him try
If they were to make a modern day Beatles group then Miles Kane would be the John Lennon of the group because he is just so magical and his music is just beautiful..........
If you just get it together and read my mind then sleeping would be easy... I wonder how long it will take him. I wish I wasn't too scared to say something
I'm probably going to do this with friends in music GCSE and give this 40 thumbs up see a video of our recording (reply to this if it gets that many to let me know) I love this song and I'd be the one on the violin!!
Have you ever had a dream where it was hard to walk? But you kept trying and eventually got through? I had a dream of a mechanical monster last night that beamed everyone. I got out but I struggled to get up the stairs. It was so hard to walk. I pushed through with all my strength. Got out alive with a happy ending. People call this lucid dreaming. But isn't it supposed to represent real life?
He's not bitching and he's exactly right: so many "stolen" parts; melodies, guitars, etc. but they're all so well reformed, the whole album is a masterpiece. Just like most Oasis albums.

I'm seeing Miles live in a couple of weeks, If he doesn't perform this I'll cry for the rest of my whole entire life.
Did he perform it?
Did he perform it?
I guess she's busy crying so she can't reply us
Did he perform it?
Did he perform it?

Agreed it's "Lennon" song. Really hope he will continue The Last Shadow Puppets side project with Alex, as he promised, after his solo album...

@megasuperchachil by miles kane and Alex turner, both.
Can someone tell me the real meaning of this song ?
he looks like a young Paul McCartney!!!!!!!!! If Alex Turner would be beside him, it will be Lenon and McCartney all over again.
Alex Turner covered this song, what vision

John Lennon - How.
You definitely can see Noel Gallagher behind this album - stealing brilliantly from the classics.
dont bitch about that, enjoy lovely song
He's not bitching and he's exactly right: so many "stolen" parts; melodies, guitars, etc. but they're all so well reformed, the whole album is a masterpiece. Just like most Oasis albums.
the singer looks like the skinny brother in Drake & Josh
Did you seriously just compare alex turner to john lennon? Hmmmm?
