She is so wonderful! Seems like such a down to earth, focused and genuine person.
Hence, she was perfect for the role of Phoebe in Friends. She, like all the others, got along very easily and had a very tight bond because of it.
I absolutely love this woman! She's by far my favorite person in the whole world.

31:34 that's exactly it. My experience of Valerie wasn't "I can't look at the screen". It came across to me that she was actually aware of what was happening and the humor was in her trying to mitigate that to us the viewer. It's like a private conversation between us at home and Valerie. The documentary crew is the antagonist trying to get in the way of the contrived presentation Valerie is trying to give. And it's hilarious because everybody does it, she's just being caught doing it on TV. And then she has to decide if it's worth the fame to be known for humiliation or if family is better. And I like how they handle that. Brilliant show.

And I suspect that the viewers who didn't pick up on those thoughts, were the ones who felt "uncomfortable" while watching the show. Because then it must have seemed very cruel to them, abusive maybe. But for those of us who couod read her, we loved it. Couldn't get enough. Because we couod see Valerie knew all along. The stuff with Seth Rogen is particularly amazing. And shout out to Mark.

chewing gum for an interview is highly rude coming from an A listed actor. But, ok. She is smart and interesting
It's nicotine gum cause she's quit smoking. Not sure it makes a difference but at least it's tied to a long-term habit rather than her just wanting candy.
It's just a relaxed informal interview. Chewing gum also keeps the mouth lubricated, which could be useful for a long interview. Better than getting a dry mouth and gulping water every 2 mins.

Amazing woman and highly intelligent. But the show are gross, vulgar, and makes it hard to watch many times. if that is how people talk on a daily basis then it is gross. we want shows with zero vulgarity and gross stuff. But Friends if we remove those ugly jokes it remains and good show, all of them are excellent!!

People always seem to complain about the interviewers. No one is ever happy jeez. I think he asks intelligent questions and then lets her answer them. I think he's fine.
