Really like the last point he made on them trading up. People are too fixated on the Chargers needing 10 or 11 picks in this draft. Potentially adding mediocre players that make no impact instead of getting impact players is pointless. We don't need bodies, we need good players. Give me seven good players and two bodies instead of six good players and five bodies. No matter how good Hortiz is, history says there will be players taken near the back of the draft that don't pan out. Turn those picks into a better player by trading up.
Harbaugh, Hortiz, Herbert and Herbert are gonna be the 4 most important (by far) pillars of the Chargers turnaround. I wanna coin "4H" for them (or is H4 better?).
People, for some reason, think Jim Harbaugh is stupid. I keep hearing all the stuff about how he’s going to trade Herbert and pick Blake Corman number 37 and all the silly stuff. Not sure where you guys and other people get that kind of stuff but trust me he has forgotten more about football than the rest of us will ever know. Sometimes being silly is fine but most of the time it’s just silly.
Ben Herbert saying all the right things, but I don't care much about what is said. Staley often said the right things, but couldn't execute. I am really interested in how TC goes, and how steep a learning curve this new offense is going to be. The proof of the pudding in methods will only be realized by results by the end of seadon's worth of football. As the Chargers fans know only too well, offseason and preseason means nothing. Will they win games? Thst is all important.
I get it, we have been burned so many times that it's hard to trust the organization but we have gotten inexperienced head coaches, who we hoped would be the next Sean Mcvay. Of the three Lynn was probably the best. We have an experienced head coach this time. That's the main difference and he has done it before. We shall see but I have more confidence this time.
@@Quantum_Humanicsglad you said this cuz before I’d checked the replies that’s was my instant thought. BH is proven and so is Harbaugh and it might not be instant but I believe this staff can bring this organization success
@@AceOfSpades7991 I remember Staley had me fooled big time but looking back on it now he just didn't have the track record to back up any of the things he was saying like he was a defensive coordinator for what one season and just a few seasons before that he was coaching some Div. 3 college team... I definitely agree that there are lessons to be learned from this staley situation about guys that just talk a big game but that lesson is not to stay away from guys that talk a good game but to do your due diligence and find out whether or not he can back up his talk
One thing I would say About the whole Ben thing is that this is not college, it's the NFL. So if thinks he can just do what he did in college and it's going to work in the NFL he's going to be disappointed. These players are going to get injured and the only real way to avoid it is just not play the game. I think he was a little bit too hyped on himself so he better hope the chargers lose no players to injury next year especially any starters because if they do his whole thing is just hype.
Thanks for joining us Kris!
Chargers fans, what's your first impressions of Jim Harbaugh and Ben Herbert?

I think staley sounded like a dumbass from day 1.
The track record of backing it up is the difference between Staley and any of these new coaches.
