I love Cliff Richard and his music, and one of the main reasons I find him so endearing is his faith in God! He has that sweet spirit about him, and he lives a Christian life! God has blessed him greatly!

This interview has made my day! Business, the marketplace, and politics were thought to be 'harmful' for Christians and should be avoided. As an upcoming singer-songwriter, I am grateful to hear this perspective from Sir Richard. I think of myself as an artist who is a Christian. Maybe he can mentor me? Thanks for initiatives such as yours that affirm and encourage Christian presence in the arts.
I am not in anyway religious but very much respect Cliff and his work.

"appease God" -- Does god have insecurity or self esteem issues because as some kind of supreme invisible being he does seem to need his arse kissing allot.
I do not believe in any god BUT I like Cliff Richard and respect his integrity. I have enjoyed many of his gospel concerts because he is a great singer and his sincerity shines through.

It say’s in the Bible that being homosexual is a sin. Yet C.Richard is 100% gay but has never admitted it. Homosexuality is NOT a sin that’s just ridiculous religious NONSENSE. He should come out and be proud of being gay but he will never admit it, he’s living a lie. He’s never said anything about his sexuality EVER!!!!!

In a Cliff Richard biography written a decade or so earlier, writes that Sir Cliff is not homosexual and there is absolutely no evidence that he is. Apparently, Cliff endures a sexual disfunction in that he is impotent- he is unsuitable to achieve an erection. This affliction has never hindered his career and is still much loved by a host of fans and supporters. The Cliff Richard paradox is that from the get go of his career, his popularity among his female fans and followers was enormous. Pop magazines often carried stories featuring Cliff's female fans and their ambitions to marry him - a natural extention to their love for the guy.
For years, people associated with Cliff in the music industry have often responded when asked the usual question, why does he not marry or have any romantic relationships, a response to this by Shadows guitarist, Bruce Welch that he has yet to find someone he wants to marry hass never been accepted as being believable. by anybody else because, it's always been evident that to find its nessesery to look and that is not something Cliff has ever done.
Allegedly, Cliff's only foray into physical romance was in the late 1950s when Carol Costa, then the wife of Shadows bass player attempted to seduce a youthfull Cliff that must not have been pleasant for him that he's not been known to have partaken in anything like that again. The truth of that failed intermacey has never been revealed. When interviewed, Carol Costa's daughter said she knew the truth of her then recently deceased mother's relationship with Cliff Richard,, but it would never be revealed by her. Leaving speculation all that is left. It will likely remain so as the generation for whom this matters is now fading away and no longer around in any meaningful numbers. Probably that's a good thing.
