uhh, I'm not sure. Try precompsoing both clips before doing anything. If that doesn't work, also make sure everything is parented to the correct nulls.
i say twixtor but i really meant time remap, my bad. What i typically do is trim the clip to how long i want it to be, then press Ctrl Alt T on my keyboard, then turn frame blending on. Easy ease the keyframes and add a graph.
