In an abusive factory making phones, the product is the phone, the outcome of an abusive factory and an ethical factory is the same. If you take out the abuse from making phones, there will still be phones. If you take the abuse out of CP, there is no CP, in CP the abuse is the product. It doesn't matter what the product is. All that matters is if individuals are taken advantage of against there will and/or made to suffer. Fellow frog here. The age of consent in France is 15. It is called "Majorité sexuelle" (sexual majority). Yes, a civil minor can have sex with an adult if the minor is 15 or more.
That being said, there are a lot of legal details surrounding the age of consent in France.
An adult who has sex with a consenting minor of 15 or more can still be charged for what we call "corruption de mineur" (corruption of minor), wich is more or less the same thing as statutory rape in the USA. If the victims (the minor and or parents) can prove that the minor was manipulated in any way to have sex with the adult, the accused is convicted. It is considered as a crime. And if the adult was in contact with the minor via internet, it's considered as an aggravated crime.
Also, a minor of 15 or plus can't do pornography or prostitute themselves (prostitution is allowed in France if it's just transactionnal sex between two people).
So no, we don't see adults having sex with teenagers as a good thing. We have laws that recognize that there might be some grey areas but that's all. And that's not even a thing set in stone, we have several times in the last 50 (or even just 20) years add some new specifications to that kind of laws.
