"Why did it take me this long?" Because there is so much out there to listen to, it's impossible to hear it all. But when we find something that really knits with us, we tend to go a bit crazy for awhile. My son introduced me to POTF probably around 2012 or so, and they had already put out two or three albums by that point. And I'm an old guy who didn't hear them until I was well into my 50s. Now I'm stuck on delighting in watching the reactions from various people to my favorite band.
My favorite band. If you really want to hear Marko's amazing voice pure you should check out their Alexander Theatre sessions. They are broken down versions of few of their songs and all are amazing. Angel is my favorite from that list and I recommend you check it out.
The last song on the album, Beyond the Horizon, is my absolute favorite. It is so beautifull! Does anyone else have a favorite song? We should make a list for him. 😆
@@sjaera5016 In my opinion he should just go through the album in order because every single song on it is a masterpiece and that way he can experience and admire the concept in it's entirety.

Poets of the fall have a interesting relationship with the video game studio Remedy. This song is feat. In there game Control. I learnd about the band from Remedy's game Max Payne. The band also performing as the band Old gods of asgard that is part of several of the games.

Also this song is used and written for the game "Control" they also made another song for that game that is from their alter ego band called "Old Gods of Asgard" the song is called Control and it is AMAZING more heavier than anything they have done.
I find their live versions superior to the official video, personally. The live performances of Carnival of Rust feel far more dynamic than the studio version.
