She lost her star power the minute she walked out of WWE. In Japan she did that cringe promo song and it's just gotten worse for her. Without the WWE machine behind her she's painfully mediocre. Tony overpaying her has just ruined any future she has. She'll expect that kind of payday from everyone because of what he did.
I just think her boring personality is really being exposed. The Mone personality could work but it needs to be something very different then her Sasha Banks character.

Mercedes would look more of a threat and badass knowing she’s got Bobby possibly being her second bodyguard. It would be her more full of herself and very cocky. I think Mercedes can talk. She relies too much on the script a lot maybe if she just spoke we would get a complete different version of her on the mic. But I think she just feels safe with the script because of the WWE style. The gimmick is fine imo she’s checking out all boxes she just needs to bring a bit of her real self into the promo. That’s why to me she doesn’t come off mean in real life because she is playing safe with the promos

Probably doesn’t help when they have tiny crowds too. 10k-15k crowds can give you a bit more of a reaction but with 3k in a 3/4 empty arena, if you don’t get all of them making noise then it’s crickets and sounds even worse

It is hard to be naturally gifted at promos. Becky Lynch should be worried about going to AEW. Because without the WWE machine behind her, it's a big risk. Out of all of the female talent out there, I think Kairi Sane has the least drop off risk of any star leaving WWE. Her character and style is consistent and is her's. Even Rhea Ripley has a risk leaving WWE.
Her "star power" was gone the second she walked out of WWE.

Sasha Banks/ Mercedes Moné is 100% a WWE creation. She is in full control of her own creative and comes up with her own promos. And they're hot fucking garbage. She's the perfect example of someone who was handed more than they should have been because of who she's related to.
She's the example of the actor thinking they're the character. The actor forgets that the writers put the words in her mouth.
Sasha had juice she just 1. Believed her own hype with a company who didn't know how to manage her hype. 2. She should've went the Batista route, she had small press behind her with the Mando spot but she went to Japan instead of riding her wave here and making it bigger.

She is only as good as whoever is producing her. WWE was in control of her creative which allowed her to create a name for herself. Now that she is on her on in AEW, all her flaws are being exposed.

A diva heel character isn't going to work in AEW because there are no meaningful names to heel on, and the crowd are a small group of single white males who came to chant This Is Awesome during Orange Cassidy matches, not to be belittled by some diva in their safety zone. So they either sit there afraid to dog the product, or she gets Go Away heat at best rather than any kind of equity into a program or feud.
