Thank you for this deck list, I have been trying to make odd mage viable for more then a year ! My last version was with dragon synergy, but yours seems superior.
Same, elemental synergy works well too
@@chaoscal7399 I tried elemental synergy at first but the value wasn't fast enough to compete with control decks. Burning the opponent face with a good curve is better.

This is an aggressive deck. It doesn't want to run high-cost board clears.
@@Roffle well i mean if you're end game is also dragonhawk on turn 7, turn 5 board clear doesn't sound awful. Just thoughts on survivability.
TheRealDeal the deck already ha so pretty decent survivability since a lot of aggro decks will be overwhelmed by the hero power buffs and the shooting star plus lab partner or cat is already pretty good board clear. Also firebrand is extremely good into early pirate boards

29:00, it's not safer to do arcane first then ping, the probability to kill the enemy minion is the same.
It is, because if all the random damage misses, then the ping wont kill it. Arcane first means you could ray of frost instead of ping.
@@benpk41 true that then you can allocate more damage to face. But he implies safety as making sure the minion dies. That probability doesn't change. Though keeping the freeze alternative as an option is a safer play.

Neither is required for the deck. You could run Primordial Studies or Steward of Scrolls instead.

Jan'alai is the most important of those and the main reason to play Odd Mage.
