I'll tell you what man, I've just recently gotten back into R/C's. I do a lot of fishing but needed a hobby at the house too. I've watched a ton of review videos on a ton of different topics from rc's to fishing etc. Yours are the best I've seen man. Professionally done, none bias, great informative reviews.
This has to be one of the best and most informative clips ever.! l recon l have watched this 3 or 4 times over the years. l now have 3 SC10's because of this video, and yes Associated have looked after the SC10 platform, your gut instinct was spot on J. The three SC10's l have are all what Associated call the SC10PRO's which are just perfect. Well done to Jason and Associated.

I've picked up a few SC10 and SC10.2 trucks for myself and the kiddos... we are having a great time.... one question, how can I put the 10.2 body mounts onto the older trucks, without switching arms? Can the flat arms work with the new shock tower? Thanks again for the videos!
Love these videos, You explain everything so us beginners can understand. I want to get a short course truck and try my hand. Is this a good choice? I need to learn to drive before I spend lots of money.
Thanks for the info. I bought a used sc10 (not sure what version) from a friend. I started refreshing it and when I bought new suspension arms, they were too narrow where they mount to the bulkhead. I'm assuming mine is a 10, not a 10.2? Not sure. I've changed a lot since then, and now it pretty much looks like the Makita RTR version. I replaced all the bearings and all hardware with stainless screws. Anything else you suggest I upgrade? I've been looking into new shocks, and I see Proline has a set, but they aren't too cheap. I'm no racer by any means. Just enjoy driving it on baseball fields etc. Handles great and it's fun to drive. Thanks in advance!
Good tip on the front bumper. The front chassis is so much longer than the b4.2 and the t4.2 that it really does benefit from reinforcement. What's that ESC you said you were running that costs $45?
great vid, lots of helpful advice there. When you mention lack of a mid motor option could you not adapt an xfactory x6 squared mod kit on a b4 into short course format?

sc10.2 factory kit vs the ready to run kit differences... here most of them.. rtr as a gear diff vs a ball diff .. big bore shocks vs small rtr shocks .. a bunch of aluminum parts such as steering rack, hubs wheel hexes, motor mount, servo mounts,ect.. carbon fiber battery strap.. factory team ballast weight.. vts 3 pad slipper clutch.. hope that helps.

I just bought a PRO2 SC10 and I did a few mods. Gray springs, 37.5 shock oil up front, 6.2 A-arms.
