I need to find a vinyl that is extremely sticky! Or at least much stickier than VVivid....I bought the Vvivid vinyl with 1 inch width from Amazon and to use it by placing strips of it on my wheels. I put it on, used a heat gun since the outside air temp was about 5o degrees and went inside. Come out an hour later and some of the strips were just hanging there and flopping in the wind! WTF? Even after using a heat gun! How frustrating this is! And yes I cleaned them with soapy water, dried them and then used alcohol to make sure they were ready for vinyl.....Also, it seems that the cap sheet/protective layer is still attached and so surely this would not hamper the film and keep it from sticking good would it?

REALLY gutted Hexis wasn't in this, would have loved to hear you thoughts i guess i may be slightly biased but ive been trained by Hexis and i love the company and the way they treat me as a customer, the materials are excellent but are more difficult to install than Avery for example. Hexis imo are one of the best. Interestingly while i was on training they actually had imported some Vivid chrome and let me tell you, the finish on the vivid chrome compared to the hexis chrome was night and day, vivid really looks like a cheap material next to the Hexis chrome which was like a mirror in comparison.

As a painter, hearing you say japanese cars have more orange peel than euro cars i literally LOL"d. That's backwards lol look at a volkswagen product. I have to turn down air pressure to match peel every time with anything euro haha.

small question on thickness of the films, do you ever measure it yourself or do you know what kind of thicknesses are average? i'm in the process of installing snow camo film on my race-bike and i measured it to be 180 microns, it's giving me a really hard time installing, there's no air release of any kind. doesn't stretch at all without adding heat. i've checked the backing for a brand but i forgot exactly, it wasn't any brand i've heard you talk about yet so i'd assume it's some obscure home-made bs. OR it could just be that i'm terrible at wrapping haha, also a realistic possibility.

They feature his videos ... not saying he prefers them because of it, but it calls it into question a bit. I went to their site to look at their purple films, 2 out of 3 were out of stock as well. Your best bet is to go to a shop that works with each film and see the product in person.
He is self taught and is a perfectionist which really helps doing this kind of work. He started wrapping friends' cars and word got around about the quality of his work.
Hello I have a question about VVIVID Wrap. I am new to the business and just need to know if all VVIVDS wraps are branded with there mark on the back? The reason for asking is I have been buying a lot of there products pretty much every color in the Carbon Fiber line all of them say VIVVID on the back except for the purple it has came to me 3 times with a grid on the back just like the Chinese wrap I have seen in your other video. Now I was getting it from VIVVID through Amazon. When I called VIVVID and asked them about it the sales person on the phone told me that it was there product and that is just how that color was she told me this after having to go and talk with some one higher up. I dont believe what they told me on the phone that is why I need to confirm it someone like you. I have tried to call your shop to ask you about it but no one answers. Maybe you can help me on here? Hi Crypto, It's entirely up to the vinyl manufacturer as to whether they want to print the backing or not. It's advertisement for them, and of course it adds to the cost because it's one more process. Printed backing shouldn't have anything to do with the quality or application of any vinyl. If you were told " that's just how the color came " what you should have been told is, " that vinyl comes with printed backing. " She shouldn't have made a comment about how the vinyl comes, she should have said, " that vinyl has a printed backing. " Hope that helps to answer your problem My best, Scott
Love your videos but hate your comparison ones. If you don’t like the vinyl you destroy it and abuse it to show that it’s bad when it’s not. Simply if it wasn’t good people wouldn’t use it. Your comparisons are very transparent. Just entered the game and use solely 3m with no problems and a lot of my techniques are from watching your videos. I’m also using solely “chameleon” colors with 1080 3m.

Avery. Very easy to lay and the vinyl is durable. The most expensive but worth it

Any paint chips or damage in paint the vinyl with dip into the shape or not stick at all and make it look even more noticeable than now

How do you remove glue once you take off an old wrap. Is it as simple as washing the car with a degreaser
