Well I'm up to Version 1.7.3 now, and a lot more improvements and updates since you posted this. The addition of the Gable, Shed and Hip walls is another recent major upgrade.
Now on version 2.8.4 and the Wall plugin is a lot more impressive than what it was even a year ago: design.medeek.com/resources/wallpluginchangelog.html
Where you have the Cali corner, you should also add the Channel corner as well. A Channel would be stronger than a Cali and it also provides nailing surface for things like dry wall, etc.
If I create a Floor Plan scene and an Iso scene, then it might be nice to have the 3D option always active in the Iso scene and the 2D option always active in the Floor Plan scene. Would that be possible?
Hello, I am interested in buying this new plugin of yours. I have the truss and foundation already. If I get the LT version and find the need to upgrade to the full version, can I just pay for the difference?
You may have corrected this in later versions but that is a right-hand door: you determine by entering the house (or a room) and which hand you use which corresponds to the right side hinges as well.
It should be correct now, however I think the nomenclature is different between the British and Americans, which may have lead to some confusion in the past.
The extensions updates should be more automatic. When you receive a notice of an available update, you should click on the notification and have it automatically install itself. You can click on the update and download the file, but it doesn't go where it should and install itself. In Extension Manager/Manage, the "update" button does not highlight when there is a known update available.
I would love for that to be the case but unless I switch my licensing to work through the extension warehouse (SketchUp) I cannot fully automate the process. The problem with using SketchUp's licensing system is that there are problems with getting payment in a timely manner (talking to other developers that use that system) and since these plugins are now my bread and butter I have to have more control over how all of that works.
@@medeekdesign Understood. Thanks for replying to my comment. I hope it didn't come off as "bitchy". I really like where you're going with the whole process and support your efforts wholeheartedly. It just seems so logical and "construction minded"! I find myself saying to myself "I wish it would do "x"", and if I'm patient it's 5 minutes deeper in the tutorial. I'll shut up now. Ha. Keep up the hard work!
@@medeekdesign p.s. Can you add gable attic vents, with trim options to match windows/doors, to the Trusses list? (It's probably in there somewhere. Had to ask.)
@@jamesjobe4307 It is a legitimate request and there still might be some possibility of automating this sort of thing I just have not figured out how to yet (beyond going the SU licensing route). I will certainly give this some further consideration and ask some of the SU gurus on the boards if they have any ideas or suggestions.
Can you give some tips on how to place a window over another window or door opening? When I do it the framing from the window extends down through the lower opening.
@@design-build-live3284 I should probably create another tutorial on stacked windows and doors. Note that when stacking windows and doors the stacked openings must be the same size and line up with each other. You cannot create offset stacked windows yet.
Wow, I finally downloaded this (after buying a few months ago) and can't believe all the updates since this video. You've been busy...way to go!

What is a channel corner? Is that the same as a U-corner?

Usually we can work something out like that.

@@jamesjobe4307 That one is on the long list right now, but yes, it is something I can do and needs to be done.
