  • In this Islanders post game news conference, head coach Patrick Roy was very proud of the way his team handled themselves in a frantic third period of their 3-2 win over Toronto. The Maple Leafs had tied the game at two on the power play but with just over two minutes left to play in regulation, former Leaf Pierre Engvall scored the winner as the Islanders look to make a playoff push. Roy: "After they tied the game, our mindset was let's get the next one, so that pleased me a lot."

    macleans goal is a goal scorers goal lets give him a chance and see what he can do, that was a fantastic high light reel goal.

    Look at him. He is now older. He will be like a father to a lot of these guys. Of course they will ratchet up for him.

    Islanders will make the playoffs. I'm calling it. Either Detroit, Leafs, or Tampa Bay will not.
