  • Jack Kelly has lived in his home in South Tampa since 1987. His story starts when his insurance company said he needed to replace his then 16-year-old roof to be able to be insured. “Sign up,” he said. “It doesn’t cost you anything.”

I agree it is difficult to navigate and understand. They are impossible to reach on the phone.

We had our inspection last September. Received the documents and the Grant Submission has been closed since receiving. Now we see they are taking inspection applications again but the submission process for the grant is still locked. Maybe they need to get thru the backlog of those waiting with inspections to apply before spending on more inspections. Extremely frustrating!!!!

The state has only given out less than 10% of the $383 in grant money. Very poorly run program.

It says three comments but I can only see one !! The insurance situation in Florida needs a lot more than “ level off” it needs to go down
