I live in Copenhagen, and this has been one of the saddest summers (weather-wise)! Absolutely dreadful--grey, rainy, cold. I hope you come back another year to experience what a truly gorgeous Danish summer is like---everyone sitting out in parks and cafes and swimming in the harbor. Anyway, fantastic vlog! Thank you!
@@sakiinaasmae4028 It got much better! This week has been gorgeous, sunny, and warm. Everyone's swimming in the harbor and still in summer vibes. Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues are looking good next week---but starting Wed it'll be rainy. Fortunately, it'll still be warm so you can enjoy DK even in the rain when it's not chilly. Have a great time here!!
A good tip when traveling to Scandinavia (or the UK) is to plan for indoor activities, in case the weather turns bad. Luckily there are so many great museums to choose from!
Next time you visit you should go check out Copenhill which is a waste facility plant with a year-round ski slope on its roof. Take the elevator up and walk down. It's free and the architecture is so playful - view is great too. And then you should walk or bike from Copenhill to Reffen street food. Reffen is really nice on a summer evening.
In Kings Garden... "Imagine how this would be in the summer... like real summer". This is a typical Danish summer. Ever changing weather and about 12-25 C, changing day to day, and either lots of wind, or no wind. The reels with weather changing almost hourly are not wrong 😂 Always wear layered clothes in Denmark, so you can take off, or put on throughout the day.
Nyhavn (ny-hwan), originally known as Den Nye Havn (the new port), is one of the iconic tourist destinations in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. It has been a popular spot for over 300 year. Previously, it was a commercial port area and is now a favorite place for the locals and tourists to spend time. The best times to visit Nyhavn are during the summer and around Christmas because there is a Christmas market which is full of decorations and typical Danish Christmas snack.
A small curious fact about Glyptoteket Art Museum is that this was actually the private art collection of Carl Jacobsen, the son of the founder of Carlsberg Brewery. He commissioned Glyptoteket as the building to house his private art collection and make it publicly accessible. Tivoli Garden from 1843 is actually the third oldest amusement park in the world with Wurstelprater in Austria from 1766 as the second oldest and Bakken Amusement Park north of Copenhagen, Denmark from 1583 as the oldest amusement park in the world. When Tivoli opened in 1843, it was located just outside the western entrance gate to Copenhagen so just outside the city bastions and moat. The lake in Tivoli is a remnant of the moat that surrounded Copenhagen up to the end of the 1850s. Copenhagen has changed a lot. The city is very different from the Copenhagen I grew up in 50 years ago. Although I have lived abroad all over the world the past 30+ years (currently in Singapore), I feel Copenhagen is a much better place today compared to what it used to be when the entire harbor front was basically industrial areas.
Wark at Nyhavn every day, I really dont understand what people do there. In my apennion its a turist trap. Just like Fishermans Warf in SanFran Cisco. By the way, in my younger days I was in the Royal Life Guard as Tambour, they are the ones you see playing at the King's Garden.
cool vlog! 😍 would love to go on trips with you 👯♀️ how do you get comfy with going to eat somewhere especially for dinners? always going with a book?
@@inesmilo aw thanks so much! that part was def the hardest to get used to but gets so much easier the more you do it :) i love it now! i always like taking a book, helps me not be glued to my phone but still have some activity
Been watching your videos and it's awesome that you're living life to the fullest. I was wondering what kind of train pass did you get or what website it's on and how did you keep changing currency since Stockholm doesn't use cash? You should make a video on those things. God bless and keep up the great work!
thank you so much! i bought a eurail pass for 7 cities, they have lots of different options depending on the amount of places you want to go- i didn't exchange currency, just used my US debit card!
Sissss we (definitely I) need a hair care routine video 🤧 I think we have the same hair type but my curls don't SERVE ✨ like yours. Looking forward to your upcoming/next EU vlogsss 💖
mm well i enjoyed your vid but it just felt bit funny that you didnt prepare to look out the weather in denmark.. as finnish, our summer has been cold ish too this year, only few times it has been up to 30 celcious, but usually it's around 20-25 celcious here. in denmark the weather is quite same. it's most of the times around 20 degrees and that's just how nordic europe is like... nordic europe is obviously colder during summer than middle and south europe
God sent His only son Jesus to die for our sins on the cross. This was the ultimate expression of God's love for us. Then God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day. Please repent and turn to Jesus and receive Salvation now before it's too late. The end times written about in the Holy Bible are already happening in the world. Jesus loves you with all His heart ❤️ but time is running out.
Climate change also have brought weird weather here. This SHOULD be high summer. Fall last year were more like high summer. We have had great weather on/off last 3 months. BUT if you had been in some parts of Europe you would have had extreme heat and that´s worse than a drizzle here and there, if you ask me.
