I found your page around 2019 and you inspired me to quit my much hated job and pursue becoming a pilot. Now in 2024 I'm a CFI CFII MEI and a newly type rated Citation II CPT. Ive moved to Wyoming to start the next dream of purchasing my first Kitfox, hopefully next spring, and start having my own back country adventures. What I truly love about this video is it shows that you didn't do this overnight. There have been many trials and tribulations to get here over the years and that Sir motivates the hell out of me and I believe many others to continue to go after their own aviation dreams. Thank you for what you do, and can't wait to see what the next project becomes!
Thanks Trent - you inspired me to take up the hobby at 50!? Bought a partially completed Kitfox in 2022, got my license, tailwheel, finished the plane in November 2023. Just hit 85 hours on it! Living the dream! My kids love the adventures! Hard to imagine a more fun plane for the backcountry adventures!
Trent, When I was 58 years old, I used to go to a local airport and watch the plane takeoff and land. I always wanted to get my pilot license, but I figured I was too old. My wife, at the, Michele said I got you something for Valentine’s Day gift. Let’s go for a ride. It’s a little early. Let’s just go down to the airport and watch some planes takeoff. We went to the airport. Couple planes leave the ground. She says look a school. I said yeah I’ve seen that. She said let’s see if there’s anybody there. I said OK probably close. She walked up to the door goes inside, I go in behind her and the guy behind the desk says, Hi Michele. I’m like what? how do you know my wife? She says I bought you your first lesson in the airplane will go up today with this instructor. So we went out and looked the airplane over. He ran his checklist, we got in. He talked us through running up the engine. It is a Cessna 172. Michele sitting in the backseat with her safety belt on and her headphones. I’m in the left seat the pilot seat. The instructors in the right seat. Taxes out to the runway we takeoff. I got my first pilot lesson. When I was 60 years old I received my PPL. I started watching your videos, I would tell people watch Trent Palmer videos. I would go to Wings Of CAROLINA the flying school I received my PPL at to watch Trent Palmer videos. His Kitfox is amazing. I’ve been watching your videos ever since. April 2, 2014 was when I got my license. I hope the change is good for you!
@thecelephane2914 I occasionally go to the same airport to do some plane spotting. I got my license 30 years ago (Holy cow, I didn't realize it was that long ago till I typed it out), but haven't flown in about 20 years. I'd considered Wings of Carolina as the next stop should I find the means (time and money) to get out there and up in the air again. They have a great stable of planes. Perhaps I'll see you out there sometime!
Like you, I always liked watching the planes fly. I've lived most of my life under the flight pattern for my local airport. But it wasn't until a few years ago when I started watching aviation videos on RUclips that it occurred to me that perhaps I could fly one of these little planes. When I was younger, I'd go to an airshow and look in the cockpits and see a bazillion gauges that made no sense to me, and girls were not pilots anyway. Now I'm too old likely to ever get a pilot's license, but maybe someday, if I'm in better circumstances, I could still go up for an introductory lesson. Because, in fact, I've never flown in anything smaller than a regional jet or turboprop, and I don't know if I would like flying in a small plane.
You were a big part of the reason I got my pilot cert in 2018. I couldn't keep watching without acting. Now I have an aviation biz and doing quite well. Buying our 3rd airplane now.
Trent. Thank you for working with Parallel42 and bringing your aircraft to Microsoft Flight Simulator. This gives everyone a chance to fly her in the vitual skies and keep the memories alive. Best of luck on your new project.
@@Jwnorton He is building another one, but it is for a government contract so it likely won't be seen. The former CEO of Airbus has acquired the rights and tooling for the Wilga and the rights to the Draco modifications from MIke. They plan to build a certified version of Draco for the general market.
I remember riding one of the trolly cars at Oshkosh in 2017 and pointing to my wife (then very new fiancé) “oh hey it’s that cool red white and blue Kitfox we saw in that video last week” after completely a fun fabric covering workshop. It so happened that it was your “Kitfox High Sierra Fun” video. I was a newly minted private pilot at the time and awestruck by my first Oshkosh experience and thought it was super cool to see a plane from a RUclips video in real life. Shortly thereafter we bought a model IV kit and started work. Fast forward to 2018, I remember preparing for my first flight at Naval Flight Training and watching your video of flying to Oshkosh again with Mike and the crew-I was so excited about the video I couldn’t wait to show my new wife, who was then pregnant with our first child. Fast forward to today-a helicopter ATP, a still unfinished Kitfox (LOL), and 2 kids who’ve spent literally their entire lives up to this point watching videos of you flying the FreedomFox, this was a tough video to watch. Thank you for the joy, imagination, dreaming, and inspiration you’ve provided to the entire world. And thank you for ALWAYS positively promoting the GA community. Flying for the military is fun-but NOTHING matches the freedom and joy of General Aviation. 318JJ will be surely missed by all of us-The Kitfox family and Mr Johnson should be proud of what you’ve done with that plane… A tear has been shed for you, my friend. Thank you
I’ve been watching your journey since my daughter was a toddler… we would watch you together and still do. She is 9 1/2 now. Thanks for sharing the adventures and lessons, we love it! On to the next chapter!
Wow emotional on all levels. Went from losing my dad in 2016, to quitting my job as a 13 year public school teacher, to plowing through my ratings to make it to the regionals as a First Officer flying the CRJ. Your channel has been my top 5 throughout this journey and I can’t thank you enough Trent! Excited to see the next chapter for both of us.
Trent, congrats on all your years with the FreedomFox, and for bringing us along. I can't wait to see your new bird! Best of luck on your next chapter.
Trent, I am a life long pilot who has spent the last twenty years flying a couple of Huskies, which I love. Even with my experience, your channel has touched me. I thoroughly enjoy your approach to life and I think you are one hell of a pilot. I can hardly wait to see where you go from here! I would guess you are buying a Carbon Cub.
Man I can’t believe this day has come. I flew a Cessna before I found your channel and eventually got a Kitfox because of your content. Thanks 👊. Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Trent, I have truly enjoyed all of your content. I just realized I have been following you for a very long time. The first time you flew to OshKosh, then the next year Halestorm went with you; the catastrophic engine failure and how you handled that and of course, Nikk crashing (and telling about it) and the Flying Cowboys. I remember the upgrades to your plane, the house build, the hangar build, your license suspension and all. I would say you have inspired me to take flight. (I got my paramotor training a few years ago.) Also, as you mentioned, the incredible people you have met and the many places out west I have personally been introduced to by you. I can't wait to see what is next. GREAT VIDEO!
Trent, Thanks for sharing your adventures and inspiring me to get into flying. I’ve been watching since at least 2017. In 2022 I earned my PPL and in 2023 I bought a Husky that I started flying in the backcountry this year. I’m now building a hangar and using some of your recommendations from your hangar build. Hope your next aircraft brings you as many adventures and inspires as many people and I hope to fly with you someday!
Trent, I discovered your channel in 2017 when I was a senior in college. Was going through a lot of stuff. I was subscribed to other aviation channels, but yours stood out to me because of the uniqueness and adventurous aspect of bush flying and experimental aircraft. I had to put my private pilots license training on hold prior to and after college, but your channel really showed me the direction I wanted to take my passion for flying. From 2017 and to now, I watched every one of your Freedom Fox videos, whenever I fell to rock bottom, I always thought of bush flying as a way to euphoria to get me out of whatever hole I was in. Fast forward to 2023, I finally earned my Private Pilot’s license, and in 2024 I bought my first airplane, a Super Cub with all of the backcountry mods (yea yea I know it’s a not a Kitfox xD). I bought it because of your videos and inspiration, you definitely had a positive effect on my professional life and in my passion for aviation. Hopefully one of these days I’ll get to be your wingman, even if it’s for one flight. It’s sad to see the Freedom Fox fly away from your hangar, but I know the next project will be badass and I can’t wait to see the announcement video and the completed plane!!
Man! Time flies! I know I’ve been watching since before the 915 was installed. Hard to imagine. So, the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Best wishes Trent!!! 🤠👍
Bearhawk 5, maybe? Wishing you all the best with whatever you choose next in your aviation journey. Your videos inspired me to get recurrent after many years, buy my first plane (a ‘56 170B) and to explore backcountry flying. The High Sierra Fly In last year, my first, was a blast. I even got to fist bump you and thank you on the playa parade. Thank you for the amazing adventures you have shared with us all!
I found and began watching your page in 2018, and that's when I decided to get the lead out and do what I've wanted to do for the last 40 or so years before it got too late. Bought my C150 in 2019. Took off a year in 2020 because of COVID, and finished up my PPL in 2021. Moved up to a Mooney M20C, and now I own a Cessna 182 that I'm upgrading to a backcountry beast. I'm 65 years old now and I still have a lot of flying to do. Thanks for the inspiration sir! As for your next project, I think you're going to move up to a bitchin Cessna 185 w/300 HP for your continued backcountry trips.
I have a similar story to others here. I found your videos a few years ago when I got out of the military and was not happy in the field I was working in. Your videos among others inspired me to pursue my life long dream of being a professional aviator and fast forward to now I’ve been able to accomplish that goal. Thanks for everything you’ve done for the aviation community over the years and I know I speak for a lot of us when I say that the Freedom Fox will be missed.
Have truly loved watching all the videos and changes. I love the way you share and educate all of us. You are truly and inspiration and can't wait to see the new project and adventures. Thanks for all you do.
I’m 18, and if today I’m a pilot it’s thanks to you. I’ve started watching your video a couple of years ago. Watching your flying adventures in this Kit-fox, sparked in me a passion for aviation, and a dream of one-day flying my own kit-fix in the backcountry. It’s sad to see the Freedom Fox go now, but I’m exited to see your next adventures. Thank you for all those great videos, and inspiring me to became a pilot.
This plane is why I sold my Cherokee 140 and bought my kit fox “Tabitha”. God speed FreedomFox to your new owner. It’s only more adventures to come for you. You will be missed by all of us that only wish we could have flown you. ❤️
Hey Trent. All I can say is man. What a ride! You and the freedom Fox have been a part of my life for I believe 7 years now. watching your videos sparked the dream of being a pilot within me. Unfortunately due to life I got as far as to meeting all the requirements to take a check ride and that's where I've been paused about a year and a half now I don't want to say I lost the spark. I just had to let that be just that, a spark, for a minute. The good thing about RUclips videos is you can go back and watch that flame that you had created within yourself and in thousands and thousands of your viewers. So I thank you for that. I wish you luck in your next adventures and I still have that dream to come out and meet you someday. Life is rough life's rough and it throws you lots of curveballs. I like how you've navigated it. You've been an inspiration brother and I hope that I get to fulfill that dream like you have. part of mine's coming out and flying with you, man! That'd be awesome! Cuz this is how we do it, Carlisle Style Outdoors.
We just finished the build on a Bearhawk, and man, what a beautiful airplane. Customer was SUPER happy with the results, and the thing definetely has jam.
I’m calling it now Trent - you’re building a Bearhawk 5 equipped with a Lycoming YIO-580-B1A 315hp engine. Perfect for a growing family, without sacrificing backcountry performance. At least that’s what I’m building soon. Hey, we could be Bearhawk bros 🤙🏼
@@flyrobroy The Companion might fit the bill better for him with the huge cargo capacity, and the slightly more bush plane orientation. At least that's what I'm rooting for because it's the plane that I keep coming back to as I the one I would build if I were to build one.
Trent, I've put off the dream of flying my own airplane for 40 years. After following all of your videos over the last two years, I started flying again and I purchased KitFox. Thanks for all the inspiration.
I almost cried when I sold my turbocharged, polished, Cessna 185 Skywagon, after 25 years and 3000 hours. But have thoroughly enjoyed the gyro copter which now replaces it. Truly more fun to fly. Go try one out! Several in your area.
Partners with Van's and builds one of the first commercially available RV-15's. Something to do while serving his license suspension and keep the channel going.
Wow didn’t realize how many years it has been since I started watching. I have always loved your videos with the freedom fox. I look forward to your next adventure! Great compilation!
Cleetus needs to buy her. He’d keep the story going and do awesome stuff with her especially since his cub is on float I could totally see him buying this
When I broke my leg in August of 2018 I found your channel and you were a life saver watched every vid. I could find of you and your friends Thank You so much. Love that Kit Fox!!!
Wow! After watching the montage, I realized I've been following you for many years! Holy Crap! Thank you for bringing us along for the ride! BTW, you should build a Sling Aircraft High Wing! I will see in the next video if I guessed right! Thanks for the memories!
Wow! End of an era indeed! I’ve been watching your Freedom Fox fly around since near the beginning. I’ll definitely say it’s served to reignite my love for flying over the years, and I recently changed career paths to get back into flying. My kids and I love watching your adventures from our couch every Saturday morning! Looking forward to what you have planned for the future!
Trent, Thank you for all of the wonderful flying videos. Some of us old pilots can only dream of the kind of flying you do. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure.
What a legendary airplane. You've made this aircraft famous with it's stol capabilities. Learning a new whip is exciting and fun, but the knowledge of knowing your current one and knowing that you have the skill set to put it anywhere you wish or need to is very comforting also. Just be safe, use your best judgment, and absolutely stay inside your margins. Fair skys! 👊
Trent! Great timeline video. I've been watching since just before your catastrophic engine failure so it was cool to see it before that. I had a car that I thought I would never part with, did multiple events with it, upgrades, built an engine etc. Last year an opportunity popped up for something bigger and better and I took it. I miss the old one, but very happy to have something new to explore with. Looking forward to the next project reveal video!
Awesome! She is such a beauty, some lucky pilot gets her next and hopefully we can watch her story continue. And… I truly am looking forward to what you show us next, I can’t wait to tag along.
I've been following along with the FreedomFox adventures since 2018, if your history with this plane is any indication of what is to come then it will obviously be something great! Like others, I have a feeling it will have more space for a growing family. I can't wait to see what it is so we all can keep living vicariously through you! Cheers to you, and cheers to the FreedomFox memories!
You have recently mentioned you would like a four seater side by side configuration. I cant even imagine you buying anything else but a bush plane. I really enjoy your channel. It's the remote flying to a camping trips that I enjoy watching.
cant believe I started watching you and this channel my junior year of highschool. Your videos helped keep me motivated through my PPL. I've got just shy of 200 hrs and the last 100 have been in my C150E. time flies when you're flyin!
Trent. I found your channel years ago and have loved every moment. You and Hailstorm are awesome. I love the Freedom Fox and it is Iconic! Heck, they even made an RC plane of it! How cool is that? How many RC planes out there are there made of a personal plane. Not many. Jonas sold his Kitfox and then his videos tanked. He then crashed the Capella and lost that spark of adventure. You never fail on your videos Trent and I look forward to the next chapter in your life. I just hope you do not lose that spark. Thank you for this Journey thus far!
Kind of a bitter sweet moment, been watching your shenanigans in the Freedom Fox for the last six years and it has been my “must see TV” on the net. Thank you to you both 🙏 😊
The first thing I thought of when I heard him talking about wanting a 4-place aircraft in the last video. Bearhawk is under new ownership and this would be a great collaboration to showcase their aircraft.
Sir, must thank you for the countless countless hours and hours of entertainment you have provided been following you for quite a long time. Kit fox is a beautiful plane and your love and passion of aviation just shows without a doubt Am looking forward to your next adventure and sure it’s gonna be a bigger better plane, you’ve made a non-pilot become a enthusiastic of watching all little love and devotion can do. Always love planes, but seeing the diverse differences like with your bush tires, how much more fun you could have I’ve traveled by motorcycle all around and here you can do it with a little bush plane that is so cool good luck God bless and be safe Joe from Cincinnati, Ohio, Ohio.
Gonna be curious to see what you fly next- you and the Freedomfox are one of the reasons i'm planning on becoming a bush pilot. Here's to your future adventures.
It's amazing to see how strong a relationship can be built between a man and an aircraft. Definetley you and the Freedom Fox have been an inspiration fo us on the other side of the screen during all these years. Looking forward for the upcoming challenge. And just as one of your phrases on an old video that marked me: "It's not about having cool toys beacuse if you don't make time to enjoy them, then what's the point?... Stop making excuses. Start making Memories. Get out there". Glad to see you keep making memories. Keep it up!
Found this channel during the pandemic in 2020. It quickly became one of my favorite channels; and definitely one of my first actual subscribes. Thanks for letting me see the air through your lens. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
Hey brother, I know you probably won’t see this comment but your videos have been so awesome to watch. It makes me sad to see the plane go but I’m excited to see what comes next and I’m sure we’ll all be here to keep supporting you in inspiring us.!!!!!
Truly the end of an era. Excited to see what comes next for you man. You got me into drones, which got me into other things and now I have a new profession and a new Direction in life it's nothing to do with drones or even Aviation anymore, but it led me to it thank you sir.
Been watching since the early days, maybe even the beginning. Looking at those dates makes me look at all the new wrinkles on my face. Time has flown by (no pun intended), but the memories living vicariously through you have been amazing. Here's to the next chapter.
Trent, don't sell the FreedomFox, please raffle it off to your viewers. If tickets are $50, I'll take 3. If tickets are $75, I'll take two. Are any of the other fans up for this???
Unfortunately, that is not going to happen. Only nonprofits and 501(c)3 organizations are permitted to host raffles. Also, Trent lives in Nevada, so even if he was running a nonprofit, he would have to get permission from the Nevada gaming commission first. That is not impossible, but still not easy to do.
There is a company that will raffle it off for him, they carry the license to sell the tickets and handle everything even the drawing of the winning ticket.
Tent I just want to say thank you for all the time and effort you’ve put into your content over the years. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of it and the freedom fox will be missed so much so again thank you so much for making us all feel like we’re there along for the ride.
Helio Courier? It will get in and out of most places you are familiar with. It's a six place, or four place which will also carry just about anything you can put in it without major CG issues. The loading envelope is wider than any other plane of its size. If it's on your list, get an H-295 with a Lycoming GO-480. Don't let the 1400 hr. TBO scare you off. All the old issues requiring the low TBO were addressed, but, since the engines were no longer manufactured, there was no point in revising the TBO. Stay away from the H-700 and H-800.
Or a Zlin Norden. Kind of like a miniature Helio with electric retractable slats, massive doubled slotted flaps, carbon dropped tips, and Rotax 916. :)
Discovered your channel in 2020 and have followed you ever since. Freedom Fox feels like it's part of the family, wish I was in a position to buy it. Wishing all the best Trent!
Hello from West Texas! I’ve been a longtime fan of your videos and creativity. I’m just starting a build on an experimental Super Cub myself, so I might be biased, but my guess is you’re going with some kind of Cub! Excited to see what you choose and looking forward to your next video!
As soon as I saw the video title I was like NOOOOOOOO but then as I watched the video I began to realize what you were saying - and its so true. We need to constantly challenge ourselves, specially once things have plateaued. You have maxed out the KitFox and wrung out everything possible from it. It will no doubt make a new owner very happy. As for what your new project is - I think you are working on building a powerful homebuilt. It will have a beast-level engine, big prop and be able to land on a helipad - with room to spare! Onward and upward and thanks for the excellent videos 😀
Wow. I dunno, Trent. You do what you gotta do, but the FreedomFox is a character in and of itself in your videos. To lose her would be like losing half your team. She is the Laurel to your Hardy, the Robin to your Batman, or the Calvin to your Hobbs. It'll be a shame she won't be around anymore. Not to mention it won't be the same buzzing around in her in MS Flight Simulator 2020. It just won't be the same. But I can't wait to see what you're gonna build next!! 😆👍
Trent. Been a fan of your channel since Day 1! New chapters are fun. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your 1300 hours with me. You have a gift. I can't wait to see what comes next! Here to stay. You've inspired so many and we are grateful.
Found your page after i starting looking in to flying, i’m getting my first plane out of its first annual tomorrow. Watching you journey with your plane is so amazing, i cant wait to start mine. And im excited to see what your next project is.
Surprised and saddened to hear the freedom fox is getting kicked down the road 😢, I've been watching and telling people about your channel for a while. However, im happy and excited to hear you're moving on and up with a new chapter and era. I'll be looking forward and tooning in to the new content for sure. Thanks, and congrats!
What's in that pallet on the hangar floor? Is that the new project? Or are you going to really make a jump to certified and get a 18(?) on floats... Maybe rebuild a Hangar Find like I did? On another note - the nose cowl for the 915 just looks more balanced.
Such a journey! I stumbled upon your channel when you had the engine failure. And I've been watching most of the videos since then. Excited about the new project!
Wow, can not believe how emotional this video is, haha. You and the FreedomFox were one of the big reasons I decided to pursue my aviation dream. I left being a Sgt. in law enforcement and finally decided to start flight school back in March of 2024. My wife and three kids followed me out here on this crazy ride. I've since earned my PPL + IR, and now I'm working towards my commercial cert. The thought of change and the unknown that was ahead of me was at times frightening. A few times I would wake up in the middle of the night and wonder what in the hell I had done, haha. However, each day that I am up in that little 152 I realize how blessed I am. Change is intimidating as we are forcing ourselves out of the known and into the unknown. Being 28 years old with a family, taking out a large loan, moving, and starting flight school was something I never thought I would actually do. The thought of things not working out or not being able to afford anything was enough to make me cancel the loan twice before I even began. However, I lost an older friend in law enforcement a few months prior to me leaving. He was killed in the line of duty after taking a domestic related call while on his way home after shift in order to keep a younger deputy from having to drive across the county to handle it. As a result, it occurred to me one night that tomorrow is never guaranteed, and we never will know how our day will end. The financial debt can eventually be paid off but the emotional debt of never starting would follow me for the rest of my life. All this to say, the thought of change is something that can cause "analysis paralysis", but if you trust your gut, 9/10 times you come out on the other side glad that you did it. Looking forward to the future videos!
Been along for the journey for around 6 years now man. Amazing stuff. Kudos to you for the videos and the flying. Hope the next project is just as fun and enjoyable! Wild guess on the next one would be a bushliner! Have no real reason behind that guess, but it would be cool!
Great montage....very nostalgic. What it really shows that other than main fuselage and maybe the tail.....there is very little of the original Freedom Fox being sold. Almost everything has been replaced and upgraded to a much more versatile 'bush plane' (great news for the buyer). I never really had any personal interest in bush planes/sport planes until I started watching your channel. I really 'sunk the hook' when I watched you and your buddies do the Oshkosh fly-in with the remote landings and camping along the way. It's been fun so far....so.....good luck on the next one.
It's been awesome watching this plane evolve and going on the adventures with you. I'm glad I got to see the Freedom Fox in person at KLNK in 2019. Can't wait to follow along on your next adventure Trent! A new chapter is fun! Congratulations on a life with chapters!
I'm getting all emotional. She's a beauty, and its hard to see you part. I hope you find what you are looking for in a new build. I think the Bearhawk 5 would tick off all the check boxes......
Reading comments here, wao! so many emotions! People's lives have been changed by this channel and especially the kitfox. Trent Palmer you already a legend! I believe the next move will even be greater than the former. Keep doing what you do best, you touch lives and change many for the better bro! Thank you and God bless!
Trent, i've been following the progress of your videos for the last nine years. And enjoyed the introduction & entertainment of STOL drag races at Reno's National Air Races. Looking forward to see what you end up with for your next airplane. More power/capacity: Bearhawk 5 w/315HP. I recognize this RUclips channel takes a ton of work, and takes away from some of the relaxing time on these adventures. But we've enjoyed it, and you've reaped the benefits of your video setup, recording, and editing.
Trent I found your page some six years ago almost and all I can say is thank you for sharing all this with us and yes many more to come still in something new to you and us
I found your page around 2019 and you inspired me to quit my much hated job and pursue becoming a pilot.
Did you put in an offer for the freedom fox?
@@nicholasthon973 I wish I had the money
Sounds like we need to give this guy a camera and a go fund me. Dude this is your sign to make stuff happen. I’ll sub right now
@@jeremyborges7363 Thanks man. I think you're right. It is time to make stuff happen.
This guy. Literally is what its about. F'ing awesome. bad ass young. continue..
Gotta admit it, this video got
me quite emotional. Cheers to a legendary legacy!
What a week. The Grand Tour, and now the Freedom Fox.
Never too old! You still have plenty of great years of flying ahead of you! So glad to hear you got into the cockpit
@thecelephane2914
I occasionally go to the same airport to do some plane spotting.
Please avoid my area.
Curios what biz you started? So many options in the aviation world!

Trent. Thank you for working with Parallel42 and bringing your aircraft to Microsoft Flight Simulator. This gives everyone a chance to fly her in the vitual skies and keep the memories alive. Best of luck on your new project.
I've landed in many a park in this, on MSFS. I agree! What a gift!
I fly it in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and I hope you can use it widely in Microsoft Flight Simulation 2020
Man seeing Draco flying kinda touched the feels too.

318JJ will be surely missed by all of us-The Kitfox family and Mr Johnson should be proud of what you’ve done with that plane…
A tear has been shed for you, my friend. Thank you
I’ve been watching your journey since my daughter was a toddler… we would watch you together and still do.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy your Kitfox. I bought N2280J in 2010 and sold it to in 2017 to an Icelandic Air pilot. I’m fly a RANS S-19.
Gosh, so many adventures in that plane! I’m sad to see it go but I can’t wait for the next chapter!
Trent,
Thanks for sharing your adventures and inspiring me to get into flying.
No, we have to thank you for sharing all those moments.
Even if it's your life, you started to sharing it... and we are grateful for that.
Trent,
I discovered your channel in 2017 when I was a senior in college.
Seeing that montage made me realize how long I've been watching. I've watched the Freedom Fox grow up like my kids. I'll hate to see it go.
Sadness! First Draco and now Freedom Fox😢
I’m not crying, you’re crying.

@@flyrobroy The Companion might fit the bill better for him with the huge cargo capacity, and the slightly more bush plane orientation. At least that's what I'm rooting for because it's the plane that I keep coming back to as I the one I would build if I were to build one.
I am also building a bearhawk 5 right now!! I really hope he builds one too for the videos and ideas.

Yeah I would say a Bearhawk 4 or Rans S21 but I would go for the BearHawk 4 or my favorite the 5.

Can't wait to see which Zenith you build. Also, that montage got me emotional! Excited for your new adventure, man.

Heck, yeah. I have a Maule but I'd trade for a helio if I could.
Or a Zlin Norden. Kind of like a miniature Helio with electric retractable slats, massive doubled slotted flaps, carbon dropped tips, and Rotax 916. :)

@@TrentonPalmerI too thought that but then you would loose the side by side configuration.

What's in that pallet on the hangar floor? Is that the new project? Or are you going to really make a jump to certified and get a 18(?) on floats... Maybe rebuild a Hangar Find like I did?
On another note - the nose cowl for the 915 just looks more balanced.

Just as long as you keep entertaining us!! I started flying when I was 15. Never did my Commercial. But flying is part of who I am. Love your videos.

I recognize this RUclips channel takes a ton of work, and takes away from some of the relaxing time on these adventures. But we've enjoyed it, and you've reaped the benefits of your video setup, recording, and editing.
Trent I found your page some six years ago almost and all I can say is thank you for sharing all this with us and yes many more to come still in something new to you and us
Looking forward to your RV15 Build!! She’s gonna be epic too
