    Very nice review! I have the hobby mio markers (both metallic and non metallic) and both types work great. I particularly like the metallic black. I got mine online from Midwest Hobby and Craft. Good tip on applying a second hand/coat!

      I love Midwest Hobby. I mostly get my AOK from him.
      Yeah, I found that one dry. If you gently apply a second coat, it gives a better finish, and it sets well.

    I didn't know they made hobby markers that were water based. This is very convenient.

    Nice review. How long do you need to let the paint dry before apply water decal on surface?

      Thank you for your comment. I let it cure and dry for a couple of hours and apply gloss coat first. Paint, gloss coat, water decals, panel line, final coat.

    Have you used Dspiae markers pen yet? I have the markers and I like them but sometimes the ink doesn't stick to the surface, it like wet. The metallic color have a dull finish too. I did have a problem with the yellow marker, didn't put enough paint on the parts surface. The problem I had with my the Dspiae's sky blue marker was that it was dripping paint, and for the florescent red marker I think they forgot to put the red paint in the marker but I don't get any color I just get a clear liquid coming out of the marker. Also the soft sponge tip can deform or break over time.

      I have. Heard that dispiae markers sometimes require a somewhat rough surface for they to apply properly. Have you tried sanding the area a bit?

      I haven't seen the other issue happen. Maybe a bad batch of marker?

      @@animousworks I'm also thinking some of the markers are from a bad batch. I sanded down the area and the paint does stick the surface now.

      Awesome to hear. Yeah, sometimes, due to long periods in storage, you end up getting bad batches.

      @@animousworks I just found out that the soft sponge tip of the Dspiae mark can be removed too. Can you remove the sponge tip of the hobby mio marker too?

    Do you know if they mix well with other paints?

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  9 месяцев назад

      I wouldn't mix them. But they do paint well over other paint.

    What kind of desk mat is that? Where did you get it from?!

    • @animousworks

      It's a self-healing matt. I got it from Wal-Barf for lack of better term, so i don't get slapped with copyright lol
