Here are my tips for being successful and thriving in community college. If you would like me to go into more detail about something or have any questions just leave them here and I will get back to you.
She’s right about feeling like you are a part of the community because I felt like I’m having a miserable education experience but I’ve been really motivating myself to get my stuff done as quick as I can and she is right and will hopefully transfer to Chico state
Hi beautiful! Can you also talk about what a regular school day looked like for you? Also are you gonna dorm as a transfer student? Will you be doing the random roommate option? I can’t wait to see your future vlogs at UCLA! :) thank you! I love all your video!
Hey Maggie! Absolutely, I will make another video and I will address these questions in more detail. Just to give you an idea of my typical school day, I usually went to school two days a week and I preferred to have class early so that I could have the afternoon to myself. So usually I had class from 8-12 or sometimes 2 depending on how many units my classes were. I am going to be living on campus at UCLA and I was lucky enough to be given my own private room so I will not have a roommate. Yes, you will be seeing a lot of this in the future vlogs so just watch out! Thanks again for your support and the questions/comments you leave on the videos - it's greatly appreciated.
Good video I like the community college tips. Like you I also follow astrology. I am a Cancer rising, Virgo moon and Scorpio sun. With stalleiums in Saggiatrius and Virgo. So when you statted getting involved more in your college that is all about the Saggiatrius rising as we are social people and love the education process. One of the tips as a Scorpio (sun sign), was to get advise from an Aquarius (air signs have the intellilect) as they different advise. I will be watching some of your other videos as well, I am in community college right now thanks.
Hi Hailey, I've been watching a lot of your videos lately. Thank you for the content. Your advice has been extremely helpful!! I'm 51 and decided to go to community college during the pandemic last year. I'm not in CA so no UC for me ,but maybe someday University of Pennsylvania....I'm kidding, more like Penn State.
I turned 33 years old last wk & i want 2 go back 2 borough of manhattan community college & i feel ready 2 go back cuz i had me some world & real life experience & when i was 18 when i went 2 college 4 a couple of semesters i didn't do well but now im fully ready 2 try again
Hi, Im an international student and I really want to know whether it is more 'difficult to catch up' or 'hard to adapt to' if i apply for the spring term?? thank you!!
Hello! I cannot speak from experience because I began college in the fall term, but I don't see why it would be a problem. You can take as much time as you need.
Hi, im a first time student and I'm moving to a new area for community college so I can transfer to the Uni near it (10 mins away). Any tips on how to make friends in community? im going for 2 years and don't want to have no friends for that whole time lol
This is probably a dumb question, but do I apply for TAG this september 30th as a first year student or next year of september when I should start applying for UC's?
Hey Nadya! Not a dumb question at all, the timing can be a little confusing. You will want to submit your TAG application the same year that you submit your UC application. However, the TAG application is known as the Transfer Admission Planner (found on UC website) and you can actually beginning filling it out as soon as you like. It keeps track of your progress towards completing your general education so you can fill it out semester by semester/quarter by quarter. You can fill it out as you go or all at once when you submit it - it's up to you! It will save your information each time you update. But do not submit it until you are actually ready to apply to UC. Remember that in addition to the TAG application you must also submit the regular UC application in November. Hope this answers your question :) I have a whole video with more details on TAG too, so check that out if you haven't already and let me know if any other questions come to mind.
Hey I just saw your video, I am from India and want to know that for doing bachelor's I need to go to CC? then can I take transfer to University within 6 months is it possible. Can you please refer some website so that I can know everything. Also can you please suggest a good CC for economics (honours)
You don't have to go to a community college to get a bachelor's but a lot of people go to community college first because is SO MUCH CHEAPER ($10,000 vs $50,000). Usually you go for two years to get your basic credits (or associates degree) and then transfer to a university for your last two years for your bachelor's degree. You could also go the more expensive route and go to a university for all 4 years.
@@Psilanthropy actually I am already done with my first year (almost) in India but we are planning to shift in California in June so is there any way I can continue from second year? Or I have to start from scratch? It would be quite expensive for me to do from University.
@@mihikakapoor8717 you need to talk with an advisor at your current school to see what credits would transfer over. Here's another tip too. Most employers don't care where you went to college. As long as you graduated from one. So choosing a prestigious college that is super expensive is not the best..you could get the same education from a cheaper college!
The best way to transfer into a CSU or UC is from CC. Schools prioritize transfer students from CC because the whole purpose of CC is to transfer, while those at a CSU already go to a 4 year university.
Hailey Dollar thank you so much for replying! I was really curious as to what the best option would be if I don’t end up getting into the school that I want. 💞
@@XoJosyXo Np! Don't feel discouraged if things don't turn out the way you planned. There's more than one way to achieve your goals. Good luck though and stay positive 😀

do you have to take a language if you already did 2 years in hs
It depends on your major, but in most cases it's fine as long as you earned a C or better.
Do you think it’s better to transfer from a csu to another or to go to a cc and then transfer to a csu or uc?
