Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it with more time with it than me 👍
Great video as always. Was looking at the other versions of this screwdriver. Glad to see there is a 3rd and better option. Very informative and descriptive. I love it when I see a new Morgan’s Maintenance video in my inbox.
Yeah for me this is the right fit. I for sure think it’s a better option than the Low Speed… (for me). I am not sure how fast the high speed really is, but this is the type of speed I was looking for. Appreciate the support my friend 👍
Appreciate that… I had never even really thought about getting an electric screwdriver that much before. This one just kept staring at me every time I searched Vessel 😂… So this one is my first… maybe I will try out more in the future.
The Bosch GO electric screwdriver is quite popular over here for electrical work. The only problem I have with electric screwdrivers is that the majority of the socket face plates we use have slotted screws, that don't lend themselves to an electric screwdriver too well.
Ours is the same… mostly slotted. (Big debate here if the slot goes vertical or horizontal 😂) I haven’t seen the Bosch option at all. I have seen the Dewalt one where all you have to do is twist your wrist a direction and it will go either forward or reverse, and the Milwaukee M4. I have seen neither in person, but they looked big enough that at that point my M12 tools weren’t much bigger.
@@MORGANSMaintenance I have the Dewalt that also bends into a pistol grip. I don't keep it in the tool box in the garage. I keep it in a drawer in the kitchen. It has the most power out of the cordless screwdrivers. I grab this for a lot for tasks around the house. Carrying it around for a job I think you have the better option. In one place the Dewalt all day. Power and long battery life.
@@scotts4125 I was real close to getting one of those awhile back… I would like to try one out and hold it in my hand. Appreciate your thoughts on it 👍
Worth looking at the hitachi/hikoki. Had couple years, bit bigger but comes with two replacable batteries so dont get caught short. Plenty of torque. 2 spead. Want the vessel but the non replacable battery after a couple of years is a no go for me. Dont like binning tools
Yeah that’s the one thing I’m not a big fan of either on tools. I don’t like anything that I use (lights especially) to be use and charge only. If I’m using it I don’t want to have to stop in the middle and wait for it to charge. Being able to swap out batteries is always my preference. Thanks for the suggestion 👍
@@MORGANSMaintenance since found out the vessel does use a tabbed 18350 cell not a lipo or something exotic so if handy with a solder iron not impossible to swap out at the end of life. The Hitachi also has a multi setting clutch if think may over tighten delicate stuff.
Hi again. Hope your having a great weekend. Going over this video again as I have a use case coming up that made me consider it again. (Big fuse board change). I looked on the Dutch amazon and the USA amazon. Finally made a account on the Japan Amazon. As that came out cheaper. Did order a set of PZ2 bit with it as we here in Europe use PZ a lot more then PH bits. Their saying 4 day shipping and I don’t think that’s bad at all coming in all the way from Japan. But one thing my friend. Me following your account is getting expansive 😂 keep up the good work.
I guess there are worse addictions to have. And at least this addiction should help me make money. Unlike some other more unhealthy ones lol. Well that’s what I tell my wife anyway.

@@robholland5925 appreciate that. I’m surprised how big it is. I didn’t really start it expecting it to do well at all. I had zero experience filming and editing. I figured I will post a couple videos and see what happens. I really like talking with people who are like me, it’s what keeps me going. I work by myself a lot… or with people who aren’t as tool happy as me. This gives me a chance to talk about tools with people that like them the same as me.
Just looking at the Amazon reviews, people seem happier with the slower, low torque version. Which speed do you find yourself using, what is the exact RPMs? Great video, thanks for making it!
I have pretty much left mine on the 400 which is the highest on this one… the lowest setting is 280 which is what the higher torque’s speed is on Amazon US… it’s not a bad speed. Not crazy fast but still better than by hand. The high speeds torque is pretty low, much lower than the lowest setting on this one… I’m not sure I would like it
Nothing should be used on a slotted screw but a trash can 😂😂 Noted for next time. That kind of thing is why I leaned away from the high speed. I haven’t used it so I have no idea, but I didn’t want something so fast that keeping it in a fastener was hard to do. Appreciate the feedback 👍
Interesting ; is the amount of runtime actually useful ? I can see it very nice for terminal strips . On low torque , at least it isn’t going to mess up threads !
The only thing I found online was approximate 40 minutes of runtime.. I am sure it is going to vary based on which speed setting you are on and the load you are putting on it. I have only charged mine twice so far, but it wasn’t necessarily dead either time. I haven’t used it for 40 minutes straight. Hopefully some others who have had it longer will chime in. Good Question 👍
My experience with cordless screwdrivers goes as far as the Bosch 4v and I hated that tool. This tool is just the best and it changes everything including the way I see cordless screwdrivers. I started buying those vessel ratcheting screwdrivers and I just found out that the bit extension that came with my set is the exact fit as the ratcheting's, so I can pop the long bit from the ratcheting and insert on the cordless screw driver. Best of both worlds.
I don’t have much experience with them, but I liked how this one basically is just like using a screwdriver (size and shape) it’s not bulky like most of them. I like it so far… thanks for the tip on the extension 👍
I'm starting to suspect that there are more Morgan's screwdrivers that screws in the world. Maybe it's your goal? It's not the tool I need. Mosty I just use Makita drill drivers. At lower positions of my wishlist there's a Wera Kraftform Turbo - it mechanically quadruples the speed. Very informative video, BTW.
I think screwdrivers are my favorite tools to try out 😂… at least they “usually” aren’t that expensive. I have thought about that WERA before too… I believe I saw it on Millis Construction. Would be nice to get the speed without having to charge the screwdriver. That’s what I’m going to have to figure out if I can get used to more than anything with this one.
I wonder if because of the motor gaining more torque as rpm increases rather than getting lower. If would be you could do some more gearing and have the rpm a lot higher while dropping the torque a little bit
Mine has 3 settings to with different speeds/torque… but they sell options that are either High Speed/low torque or Low speed/high torque I personally would use this tool for drilling, unless maybe a very small pilot hole
I picked this up after seeing your video. The one thing that I didn’t like was the amount of play when i tried it with non Japanese bits. I solved it by compressing aluminum foil into bit holder until it was thick enough to keep a wera rapidaptor from moving. It lengthens the tool a little bit overall, but the bit removal is now even easier and I can use any of the 25mm bits from my wera toolcheck 😊 I don’t think I’ll ever take the rapidaptor off of this driver. Thanks for the video!
Your welcome 👍. You are the second one who noticed that.. I didn’t even pay attention to it much until someone brought it up to me, but I had really mostly used the phillips bit that came with it for the most part. Thanks for the “fix” option
@@unmesh59 don’t do it if you plan to use the vessel bits. It’s definitely removable if you pick it out but not something you’re going to want to do regularly.

Which one is better for automotive? Especially dealing with screws threaded into plastic inserts which would have a little more resistance than a screw in metal. Any trade off on getting the 3 speed vs a high speed or high torque?

Hello from France. I like your vidéo with this New électric screwdriver. I have a question: do you Know Where to find for this tool, for exemple PZ, PH or other in vde for use in electrcity? Thank you for answerd me.
I don’t think Vessel sells an Electric Version that is VDE. They have VDE screwdrivers, just not one that is powered. Wiha has a SpeedEII that is a powered screwdriver and insulated. I don’t have it, but I’ve seen other videos of people using it.
@@MORGANSMaintenance Thank you to answered me. I have Wiha SpeedEii, good product, but battery work no longer, and the screwdriver vde with Wiha, is specific for wiha, and no 1/4 (6,35mm). So about 4-5 years ago I bought a Chinese made vessel knock off from Amazon. Then I when ahead and got a vessel... It was not as good as the Chinese knock off. Then just last year I got a new Chinese knock off from I believe the same company. The new one only lasted 3 months and I went ahead and got a Craftsman electrical screwdriver. I thought it would be more powerful because it was a 4v but no. I ended just using my Chinese knock off and it's still hanging strong. I don't know why it's better but for some reason that old screwdriver is a champ and it only cost me $31 bucks on Amazon.
That’s why it’s always good to give things a shot. You never know sometimes. I have a friend who has bought something similar. It looks more like an Annex Screwdriver than a Vessel and he really likes it. I mainly like the Vessel because it’s also typically what I’m using fur dedicated screwdrivers. That makes it feel the same in my hand. It also has been performing well for me.
I have the low torque one and I like mine. I use a 1/2” Nut driver a lot so put a socket on it. & yes I have to finish by hand BUT it is saving my wrists
👍… appreciate you sharing your thoughts. It’s either finish it all by hand with a regular screwdriver… or use one of these for the bulk of it and finish a little. I think for certain tasks it will definitely be worth having. Thanks again
You can put whatever bit you want in it if it has the 1/4 shank on it. It just comes with that one bit that I used. It’s removable, not permanent. I actually have been using mine with a Dewalt magnetic bit holder with whatever bit I want.
Any good alternative, I looking for something like this, an electric screwdriver that has screwdriver shape, on the small side, with speed regulation, with no wabble and magnetic bits that hold screws... I am sking for too much?
I haven’t found any that have a screwdriver shape like this one… that’s why I like it the best. The only other one I bought was a SKIL version that was on sale for Black Friday. It’s good for the price and not crazy big. I made a video for it if you want to see it ruclips.net/video/rzW4Rw307bs/видео.htmlsi=_igGWEkDdkx016u- I don’t like it as much because of the shape, but it’s not bad.
👍… I haven’t seen that one. To be honest it never really crossed my mind to get one, but I kept seeing the Dewalt Gyro one and thought it was neat. I felt like at that size though I would just use my M12 stuff. Then I saw these and thought I might like it to just have an option at the regular screwdriver size. I’m not sure I will use it every day yet… but I know I will for sure use for certain things.
Hows the fit in the mp1? I have the mp2 and couldnt pull the trigger on the other 2. But this 3rd option I could justify if it plays well with others in the pouch.
I don’t do entire houses or anything, but I’ve done 25 or so and it didn’t die on me. It seems to be pretty decent so far. I’ve used it here and there since I got it for specific things and only charged it 3 times… but like I said, most of my jobs I’ve used it on haven’t been “all day” jobs. (Ceiling fan blades, door knobs, etc) If I do have those I will normally just carry my installation driver. Maybe some others will chime in as well.

Does it remember the speed/torque setting after it's been off overnight? Or do you have to select the speed each time you start to use it? I've used the Dremel and it has by far the best speed and torque of any I've used but the go button and lack of a locking bit holder make me want to throw it against the wall. I use a Craftsman now. So far it's been the best balance of features but I think the specs on this one look better. I may order one of these. I'm getting arthritis and don't want to stop working with my hands for a living. This makes a big difference on my knuckles by the end of the day.
I know it remembers its setting from the time it turns itself off and you turn it back on… As far as overnight or days later I am not 100% sure, but it has been on the same “solid light” setting every time I’ve used it without changing. So unless that is the default setting it goes back to after many hours, I assume it is staying at that setting. I just changed it to the slow blink and I will check it tomorrow and see. I am the same way these days. I think about using things differently to help me work longer in life (mostly because I enjoy doing it). There are things that I don’t like using impacts/drills for, but I also don’t like twisting a screwdriver all day for… especially over my head. Getting old… or worn out stinks 😂
It took me awhile to figure out how to change it (language barrier)… I assumed that was just a light for the charge/power info. I will probably always have it on the solid setting, maybe if I don’t change it often I won’t get that issue… but time will tell. Thanks for the heads up buddy 👍
I also use the Hazet 810R. The bit holder is amazing and the one way bearing makes it useable on machine screws. And when I add the Rack-A-Tiers 72101 for wire nuts my hands feel 1000% better at the end of a long day wiring overhead.

I would think so.. I would want to get this adjustable one so you have more control and not over tighten… this one on the highest torque setting can be pretty stout on weaker components…. That or the Low Speed version, the torque on that one should be similar to one of the lower settings on this one. That’s just my suggestion, I have only used mine on field type work so far.
@@runngunrc1991 I really like my Wiha precision screwdrivers the most out of the ones I have… the dedicated versions. It’s one of the few Wiha tools I have, but I like them. I use the Klein for my tool bags, just because they are multi bit versions and it saves space. I don’t have many “just bits” when you start getting into the smaller sizes.
Mine last for several days of just normal type, every now and then use.. but I have used it a lot in one day too and it’s made it the entire day. I usually charge it after that type of day, so I’m unsure how much more it had in the tank. I think it matters how much torque your screws need. The more it takes, seems like that’s what eats the battery. So plastic electric boxes in my case, take more than metal since the metal are tapped.

Appreciate that… I had never even really thought about getting an electric screwdriver that much before. This one just kept staring at me every time I searched Vessel 😂…
So this one is my first… maybe I will try out more in the future.
The Bosch GO electric screwdriver is quite popular over here for electrical work. The only problem I have with electric screwdrivers is that the majority of the socket face plates we use have slotted screws, that don't lend themselves to an electric screwdriver too well.
Ours is the same… mostly slotted. (Big debate here if the slot goes vertical or horizontal 😂)
I haven’t seen the Bosch option at all.
I know… I am passing on my tool addiction to others, one tool at a time 😂
You have a great weekend too 👍
I guess there are worse addictions to have. And at least this addiction should help me make money. Unlike some other more unhealthy ones lol. Well that’s what I tell my wife anyway.
@@robholland5925 same here… I don’t spend much money on anything else most people buy. So I tell my wife, I’m saving money 😂
Funny how much alike people can be from countries on the other side of a ocean. Still really don’t understand why your channel ain’t biggen then it is. Seem to me like your doing it right.
The high speeds torque is pretty low, much lower than the lowest setting on this one… I’m not sure I would like it
@@MORGANSMaintenance I have the craftsman 4v and recently had it in a DeWalt gyroscopic driver review. It’s 300 RPM’s. The gyro is 430 RPMs.
@@projectpinehills I will check that out 👍… I’ve almost bought that Dewalt Gyro multiple times, it looks neat
@@MORGANSMaintenance The only knock on it is the size. I do really like the 4v craftsman.
I would have liked to see it used on a slotted screw. But still really appreciate this and your other reviews!
Nothing should be used on a slotted screw but a trash can 😂😂
Noted for next time.
US Amazon ones use the standard 9mm bit ends where as the Japanese version takes the 13mm.
👍👍. Thanks. I’m wasn’t sure, that’s good to know
I might have to try this out
I like it because it’s pretty much the same size as a regular screwdriver. If I’m going to use a big screwdriver, I’ll just use my M12 Surge.
Really glad I found this video and this model!
👍👍 Glad I could help
I wonder if because of the motor gaining more torque as rpm increases rather than getting lower. If would be you could do some more gearing and have the rpm a lot higher while dropping the torque a little bit
Mine has 3 settings to with different speeds/torque… but they sell options that are either High Speed/low torque or Low speed/high torque
I personally would use this tool for drilling, unless maybe a very small pilot hole
I just ordered one just like this. After shipping and cashback etc. cost me about 37 USD.
Nice… that’s a good deal 👍
Did it ruin it for using the Vessel bits (I have several) or is the foil removable?
@@unmesh59 don’t do it if you plan to use the vessel bits. It’s definitely removable if you pick it out but not something you’re going to want to do regularly.
@@georgehayesviolin Understood.
I don't have a Rapidaptor but I do have a Wera magnetic bit holder that I tried in my manual Vessel 220W Ball Screwdriver (which came with changeable double ended bits) and it fit snugly.
Should this give me hope for using Wera bits in the 3-speed electric Vessel screwdriver?
Which one is better for automotive? Especially dealing with screws threaded into plastic inserts which would have a little more resistance than a screw in metal. Any trade off on getting the 3 speed vs a high speed or high torque?
I don’t have the other two… but the high speed has a lower torque than the lowest setting on this. I would think you would have to hand break/finish everything with it. (I don’t have it so can’t say for sure)
The three speed just gives you options if you do delicate work and regular…
Hello from France. I like your vidéo with this New électric screwdriver. I have a question: do you Know Where to find for this tool, for exemple PZ, PH or other in vde for use in electrcity? Thank you for answerd me.
I don’t think Vessel sells an Electric Version that is VDE. They have VDE screwdrivers, just not one that is powered.
Wiha has a SpeedEII that is a powered screwdriver and insulated. I don’t have it, but I’ve seen other videos of people using it.
@@MORGANSMaintenance
Thank you to answered me. I have Wiha SpeedEii, good product, but battery work no longer, and the screwdriver vde with Wiha, is specific for wiha, and no 1/4 (6,35mm). I don’t find vde screwdriver in any brand. On Amazon France, , on vessel product, they show on picture mouthpiece vde, but they don’t sell them.
@@Lolo-eh6fo the bit that comes with this one has a yellow shaft, but it’s not insulated. It is just a normal bit that so happens to be colored yellow.
I can think of several uses for it but not with a PH2 tip. Do they make one that takes a 1/4" hex bit?
I made a video for it if you want to see it ruclips.net/video/rzW4Rw307bs/видео.htmlsi=_igGWEkDdkx016u-

also, I'm so friggin tired of USB-B/micro. P1 using type C really makes it over the top the best choice here, imo.
Several people mentioned that they didn’t like that on the other ones before I bought mine. 👍👍
I already have a type C in my bag, in my car, and in my pocket half the time lol, it just makes sense.
High Speed, high torque you could do after by hand.
👍 True
I have the Dremel electric screwdriver
👍… I haven’t seen that one.
To be honest it never really crossed my mind to get one, but I kept seeing the Dewalt Gyro one and thought it was neat. I felt like at that size though I would just use my M12 stuff.
Then I saw these and thought I might like it to just have an option at the regular screwdriver size. I’m not sure I will use it every day yet… but I know I will for sure use for certain things.
Hows the fit in the mp1? I have the mp2 and couldnt pull the trigger on the other 2. But this 3rd option I could justify if it plays well with others in the pouch.
It fits in the side slots that are open on the bottom really well. That one or the main biggest one.
What’s the battery life for using High/Low speed doing say all this boxes all day.

I wouldn’t think so. I am out of town this weekend, but I will try that when I get back home and see.
Maybe someone else will answer before then.
@MORGAN'S Maintenance you get hex shank drills, and I think hex shank drill chuck, think I bought one for my stanley yankee
Yeah I have some hex shank drill bits that should fit in it. I think that it will likely stop because of too much torque, but I will see.

I know it remembers its setting from the time it turns itself off and you turn it back on…
As far as overnight or days later I am not 100% sure, but it has been on the same “solid light” setting every time I’ve used it without changing.
Getting old… or worn out stinks 😂
the user's setting is sticky
It took me awhile to figure out how to change it (language barrier)… I assumed that was just a light for the charge/power info.
I will probably always have it on the solid setting, maybe if I don’t change it often I won’t get that issue… but time will tell.
Thanks for the heads up buddy 👍
I also use the Hazet 810R. The bit holder is amazing and the one way bearing makes it useable on machine screws. And when I add the Rack-A-Tiers 72101 for wire nuts my hands feel 1000% better at the end of a long day wiring overhead.
I will have to check those out… Rack-a-Tiers makes some neat stuff 👍

what's the difference between the P1 and the U1?
If you mean the 1U like this one amzn.to/44eUMGz
It has only one setting. This one (P1) has 3 settings with different speeds and torque.
The other ones are either faster speed with lower torque, or lower speeds with higher torque. They only have the one setting.
@@MORGANSMaintenance thank you, I just found the P1 on the US Amazon site, $42, shipping of $20 was waved (said it was free international shipping). Looks like it is coming from Japan
@markusr1308 👍👍. They may be selling on US now.. they weren’t when I bought mine.
I really like mine
Would these be good with precision bits ?Working on Terminals.

I don’t have many “just bits” when you start getting into the smaller sizes.
How long will it last? I mainly want it because it's the size of a normal screwdriver....
@@MORGANSMaintenance Thanks for the response. I'm an electrician (maintenance currently) and picked up the 3 speed version. I put in a piece of 1/4" all-thread so that I can use standard US bits.
