    This video is a eye opener for me because I'm about to start my car for the first time in 8 years that has been down so I this will remind me to have the extinguisher next to me and pull the car outside. I'm planning to turn the fuel pump alone first to see if there are any leaks as I did some fuel plumbing and changed my fuel rail, fpr etc. Can you tell me what are those bulkhead connections in the engine bay that goes to your fuse box panel please? I know black is the ground but there are two reds that is confusing me. Thanks.

    • @DAPerform
      @DAPerform  6 месяцев назад +1

      Always a good idea to leak check what you can before first fire up. The two red wires are for the alternator charging cable and the starter power wire

      @@DAPerform thanks! Good to know. I have another question if I may, am I doing this wrong? My starter wire and alternator power wire goes to my + bulkhead connector and from the connector to a busbar that comes from a 150a fuse and then battery.

      @@arlokkkk there’s several ways to wire and alternator and starter. Just depends on what your trying to do and how you want to isolate each one

      Not as much as you would think. Its definitely not the cheapest build but we’ve got some killer parts on the camaro

      @@DAPerform decent decent I’ve been looking at late 2nd gens myself, I’m stuck between a late 2nd gen and gbody for small tire drag. I’m torn between which would easier to restore. But both I’m not worried about which would be easier to make power both platforms are great!

    • @DAPerform
      @DAPerform  Год назад +1

      @@heavymetal6714 well one consideration would be suspension as well. One is a leaf spring car the other is a 4 link setup. A g body would probably be cheaper and restore would depend on the condition of the car

    With some editing tuning, this could have been a 5-7 minute video. All that time and we heard it run for 1.7 seconds.

    • @DAPerform
      @DAPerform  Год назад +1

      It could have, it could have been a 15 second reel as well. But it’s a RUclips video of the struggles I went through getting the car to fire up. I don’t cut out bad parts or the parts where things go wrong. I show everything I do in the car that’s the point of this channel to show the good the bad and the ugly.
