Yes, so true, it was many genres because its medley traditional songs from every region in Indonesia and every song has a different local language, so she was singing in a different language. Even the costumes she wore were also different from every song because it represents every culture in every region in Indonesia and in this video it just represents little part of Indonesia, not all.

This is an explanation from lombokfriendly Hi , thanks for doing this awesome reaction. Really enjoyed it. Sending you big hugs from Indonesia. Most people were asking: What are those headpieces she wore? Those headpieces (crowns) she wore called Tiara for females or Mahkota for males. In the past you must wear those kind of headpieces to identify yourself as a royal family member and normally made of gold and silver with diamond installed in the middle of it. Every diamond placed in a Tiara or Mahkota can't be just a normal diamond. It has to be something with a magical power. Meanwhile, headpieces for the usual people are made of clothes. Headpiece is one the most important outfits for almost every ethnic group in Indonesia. Even more important than shirts. In my original tribe and many others, we don't wear shirt for males, We usually wear 3 pieces of sarong (a loose cloth) to cover our waist up to the knee (No shirts on) and of course a headpiece. In my own tradition (Sasak in Lombok) headpiece isn't just an accessory. It is actually more as a symbol that you appreciate your head and to prove that you are responsible to protect it even from the heat. Headpiece is the very first thing you wear when you're born. Your parent will have it made for you a month before you even born. Nowadays, everyone can wear any kind of royal headpieces during their wedding ceremony and many other special occasions. Traditional costumes worn in the video: 1. From the ethnic group (Tribe) of Dayak in Kalimantan called Ta'a (for females) Sapei Sapaq (for males). Their headpieces are made of Hornbill feathers. This is just one of the many traditional costumes belong to the Dayak tribe. 2. I think is from the Kohongian tribe in Sulawesi Utara. This us just one of the many of them in Sulawesi Utara. 3. Based on the headpiece she wore, I think it is from the Asmat tribe called Sali made of bark and decorated with cassowary and bird of paradise feathers. Again, there are so many other traditional costumes in Papua. 4. Kebaya Labuh from the province of Riau. 5. Limpapeh Rumah Nan Gadang from the province of West Sumatera. 6. Payas Agung, Bali. 7. Kebaya Brokat from West Java. 8. Bula Molik (Crescent) made of silver and Gold. What are they singing? (Please refer to the traditional outfits as well because the songs and outfits represent the region where they originated) This video showcases 9 traditional folk songs from 9 ethnic groups out of 879 ethnic group existed in Indonesia. The main song is Bagimu Negeri - One of our national songs. As an Indonesian, there is no way you not gonna cry when singing or listening to that song. It is our oaths to the mother land. Our promises to the nation. And as the answer to the prayers of our parent which Alffy described perfectly through that young mother singing lullaby to her newly born son. A lullaby can't only be just a nice song to bring you to sleep, it consists a prayer, wishes and hopes of our parent to see us grow as someone useful to the nation. Nothing can make them happier than that. By the way, here's the list of the folk songs featured: 1. Paris Barantai from Kalimantan Selatan 2. Si Patokaan from Sulawesi Utara 3. Sajojo from Papua 4. Soleram from Riau 5. Janger from Bali 6. Manuk Dadali from Jawa Barat 7. Anak Kambing Saya from Nusa Tenggara Timur 8. Kampuang Nan Jauh di Mato from Sumatera Barat 9. Tak Lelo Lelo Ledung from Jawa Tengah National song featured is Bagimu Negeri. What is that traditional musical instrument he's playing? That musical instrument is a traditional Dayak instrument called Sape. You must check out UYAU MORI playing Sape SOLO which will bring you into the world of true relaxations. Who did the speech and what is it about? It was the original proclamation speech done by our first president Soekarno. Are those places real? The buildings and nature scenery were all real but yes, CGI effects applied to make the video looks more cinematic. Those floating buildings are; Rumah Gadang (Sumatera), Rumah Toraja (Toraja), Borobudur Buddhist temple (Jogjakarta), and Pura Ulun Danu (Bali). If I'm not mistaken, the Goddess statue where the singer starts her singing is at Royal Pitamaha, Ubud, Bali. Of course they're not floating in real except Pura Ulun Danu which situated on the lake. What is the Symbol that awaken the dragon? It is called Surya Majapahit or known as Dewata Nawa Sanga - The 9 Gods that protect the universe from 9 different dimension compass wise. What are those creatures? The creatures you see at the end of the video are GARUDA and a Dragon known as ANTABOGA from the mythology of the ancient Majapahit kingdom . Antaboga is believed to be the guardian of the underearth dimension. That's why you will find it featured in many of our traditional carvings, crafts, and even in our architectural designs. Meanwhile, Garuda is the main symbol of our country (You can't really showcase it for commercial purposes because It's protected by law). Garuda itself is a huge gigantic bird that can only be found in Indonesia. And is believed by the Hindu as the main vehicle of God Vishnu. Where they shot this video? 1. GWK - Garuda Wishnu Kencana in Bali which known as one of the biggest statues in the world. 2. Royal Pita Maha, Ubud 3. Taman Nusa, Bali 4. Ubud Valley 5. Baleurang, Ubud. Note: Trust me, there are thousands of 'mysteries' yet to be unfold in Indonesia (Nusantara). By the way, thank you for the awesome reaction. It means a lot for all of us in Indonesia.
this is unexpected! i've been a subscriber for about a year now, mostly for the bts reaction, so my indonesian self is really happy and proud that you reacted to this! thank you so much

Thanks for your kind reaction! In 03:08 is cultural song from Papua province, one of Indonesia's province. Every province or places in Indonesia has their own tribe, language and traditional song, they also have cultural attire of their own. That has shown throughout the video :) . Thank you so much for apreciating our artist, we Wish the best and prosperities in your life, Rebecca!
This was amazing in and of itself, but watching your joyful reaction to it made it even better. And I, for one, would like to hear the story behind the name change.
Oh my Rrrrrrebecca, once again your bona fide sentiments make me smile :). This production with all the C.G.I. let me, if only for a transient moment, experience Indonesia with Novia's surreal vocals, the tribal HU like drum beat and that David Gilmour like guitar solo....Thanks for sharing
Can i explain to you ? This MV made for celebrate Indonesia independence day at 17 August. Alffy Rev a DJ, composer, director, editor, and he have team to produce this project. Novia is the girl and singer, she is big 8 Indonesia idol 2020. Actually This is medley folks song or traditional song from some region in Indonesia, like Bali, Java, Papua Borneo and many more. Every part of song have different language, different outfit, different culture that show about Indonesia diversity. When music rock and upbeat that backsound was speech from our first president when declare independence in 1945. Then, Indonesia patriotic song, that a sad song actually, because what we have in the past. The dragon was mythologic creature from Javanese and balinese culture in Indonesia. I think if you focus on watching you can see some detail like temples and some cultural building and maybe you can feel from happy to sad feeling and then proud, but it's okay maybe that is your style to watch the video. I hope you understand and enjoy 👍
This music video made by Alfy Rev to celebrate Indonesian independence day, please reaction Indonesian singer Felix Irwan, Chakra Khan , Vanny Vabiola. They are fenomenal artists.. 👍
each song represents one ethnic group with a house model, traditional clothes and their own language from each region. these are just a few of the many more songs, arts, cloths, traditional musical instruments and regional languages from all over Indonesia.
Thanks for the reaction.. if u want to hear the voice of that vocalise NOVIA BACHMID, u react his cover songs BEGGIN- NOVIA BACHMID KERONCONG COVER.. U can hear her beautiful voice..😍😍😍 This set is at BALI INDONESIA..the beautiful n amazing place..😇
Awesome isn't it!!!! How I wish all of us cud travel again.... Soon!!!! The main vocalist, Novia Bachmid, you shd react to her cover of Beggin' feat All Five In band... Beautiful happy vibe jamming session.
Let's be honest I get a lot of notifications, but I don't jump at them like I do for becca, #myfuturewife haha na love your stuff, hello from Australia
You have to watch the behind-the-scenes video of the making, and in the video it's all about traveling from one place to another, the traditional clothes of each region, the selection of folk songs, and much more, hopefully it's useful to learn about our culture.. all places in the music video are original, such as the traditional house that was given a CGI touch, the statue of three original angels with a slight touch of CGI effects, the original document of Soekarno Hatta's first presidential declaration on the first day of Indonesia celebrating independence in 1945, and the dragon in the Majapahit era, the name (ANTABOGA) means the ruler of the underworld and the overworld is CGI...
7:13 It's cuter when you know what the lyrics means just right after you said that, "anakku sing ayu rupane" means "my daughter that is beautiful" Also anyone from indonesia? Or anyone in general that knows the song "lathi", does 10:43 gives off lathi vibes? It sure does for me
I'm drinking AquaCure bubbled water. As a vocal coach, you would find this type of water beneficial to assist your vocal abilities! In your neck of the woods it is branded as Osmio.
I am your Brother from 🇮🇩, saying 🙏 many ² thanks to you for your Generosity, Mind Soul, Reason, Respect and Concern in introducing Wonderland through Indonesian Culture 🇮🇩
Thank you for your kind reaction. I think a like Emotional rollercoaster, right...? From the beginning feelings of awe, love, admiration, hypnotism, sadness, patriotic spirit emerge, and even more emotional feeling increase in the end. I don't think it's enough to just watch it once or twice.. Because this is magical.. It is WONDERLAND INDONESIA.
just wanna tell you, that they sang different songs,, and all those songs in national songs in Indonesia, and it comes from some provinces in Indonesia (actually in Indonesia every province has their own national songs but it's not national anthem, got me right?? the songs has different genres but they matched it and mixed it perfectly, you should be agreed? and at 8:45 the background voice was our first president's voice (Soekarno) it was Proclamation in 18 august 1945 (our independence day!) so proud that yall like it, yess indonesia is a Wonderland♡♡
Watching you through this was so much FUN! I would really love to get your opinion on a cappella groups, specifically Home Free, and what it takes to be able to sing in an a cappella group. Are there specific techniques or skills required to be able to do this? Having never sung in such a group, I'm wondering how I would prepare for it, or what I should expect before attempting it? I think a couple of good examples of their talent would be 'Do You Hear What I Hear', and/or 'Man Of Constant Sorrow'. Thanks for your input!
if you want to react just focus on the vocals, Please react to another song from an Indonesian singer : novia bachmid - beggin', cakra khan - Tennessee weskey, vani vabiola - i will always love you ❤️
when you feel the spiritual in Indonesia. it will touch your soul to the next level... if you watch behind the scene, it really explain why this music really touch you so deep. it's hard to explain the magic spiritual of Indonesia especially the land of Bali. where they make the music.... hopefully one day ul visit Indonesia and feel the spirit
11 minutes video combined 9 traditional songs sang in 9 different languages. Including lullaby songs The closing song is modern hymne song - not national anthem
The instrument is 4:27 is called Sape. One of the traditional instrument of Indonesia. I say one of the many because Indonesia has around 18 thousand islands and each island has it's own traditional clothes, houses, istruments, food, etc. And as an Indonesian still in school, it's both amazing to see all the diffrent cultures, and a pest trying to learn all of them in school.
Wow. So happy to see you reacting on this. Thank you so much, Rebecca. Very awesome reaction. Really enjoyed it. Sending you big hugs from the island of Lombok, in the eastern part of Indonesia. In case you'd like to understand what this video is about, here are some details. I maybe not be 100% correct about it, but it'll give you a much deeper understanding about the messages in the video MOST PEOPLE WERE ASKING: ARE THOSE FLOATING ISLANDS REALLY EXIST? Of course no. Most people were asking:
What are those headpieces she wore?
Those headpieces (crowns) she wore called Tiara for females or Mahkota for males.
Traditional costumes worn in the video:
(Please refer to the traditional outfits as well because the songs and outfits represent the region where they originated)
This video showcases 9 traditional folk songs from 9 ethnic groups out of 879 ethnic group existed in Indonesia.
By the way, here's the list of the folk songs featured:
1. Paris Barantai from Kalimantan Selatan
2. Si Patokaan from Sulawesi Utara
3. Sajojo from Papua
4. Soleram from Riau
5. Janger from Bali
6. Manuk Dadali from Jawa Barat
7. Anak Kambing Saya from Nusa Tenggara Timur
8. Kampuang Nan Jauh di Mato from Sumatera Barat
9. Tak Lelo Lelo Ledung from Jawa Tengah
National song featured is Bagimu Negeri.
2. Royal Pita Maha, Ubud
3. Taman Nusa, Bali
4. Ubud Valley
5. Baleurang, Ubud.

Novia is one of the best singer in Indonesia. Please react to Novia Bachmid - This Mountain (cover) her voice is very beautiful.
Love from Indonesia❤

Thank you! Love from Javanese-Indonesian :) :)

I say one of the many because Indonesia has around 18 thousand islands and each island has it's own traditional clothes, houses, istruments, food, etc. And as an Indonesian still in school, it's both amazing to see all the diffrent cultures, and a pest trying to learn all of them in school.

In case you'd like to understand what this video is about, here are some details. I maybe not be 100% correct about it, but it'll give you a much deeper understanding about the messages in the video
MOST PEOPLE WERE ASKING:
ARE THOSE FLOATING ISLANDS REALLY EXIST?
Of course no. What this video trying to tell is that indonesia has plenty of unique historical sites spread over many different islands from west to the eastern part of the country.
Of course they're not floating in real except the Pura Ulun Danu in Bali which situated on the lake.
Those floating buildings are; Rumah Gadang (Sumatera), Rumah Tongkonan (Tana Toraja), Borobudur Buddhist temple (Magelang), and Pura Ulun Danu (Bali). The Goddess statues where the singer starts her singing is at Royal Pitamaha, Ubud, Bali.
Again, All of the buildings and nature sceneries are real, but yes, CGI effects applied to make it looks more cinematic.
WHAT ARE THOSE HEADPIECES SHE WORE?
Those headpieces (crowns) she wore in general called TIARA for females or MAHKOTA for males. In the past you must wear those kind of headpieces to identify yourself as a royal family member. Both Tiara and Mahkota are normally made of gold or silver with diamond installed in the middle of it. Every diamond placed in a Tiara or Mahkota can't be just a diamond. It has to be one with magical power.
