When that scene of Aerith standing there like that came on, I uncontrollably exploded into tears. It touched me that deeply and I didn't think they'd show smth like that nor that I still had so many feelings for FF7 (even while I'm, well, depressed and anhedonic). Ff7 is so special. Can't wait for Rebirth! And to see what will be going on in Zack's timeline :)

I was trying to avoid more trailers but I couldn’t look away while watching someone experience her TGA on stream. She only played the remake with no knowledge of the OG, Crisis Core, and Advent Children… so she was overwhelmed with happiness during the FF7 Rebirth part. Since she was happy and excited, I was happy too. It wasn’t until the 2nd time I saw the trailer when I began crying (just before I had to clock in for work 😅). Can’t wait for February.

I hope they don't play this song when Aerith die because i will be disappointed. I'm not sure what it is but this trailer doesn't have the same excitement effect as previous trailer does. Maybe it's the theme song that's overshadowing the cut scenes in the trailer. I mean, the singer's voice is beautiful but that lounge music style just isn't my cup of tea. I guess I was expecting the music theme to be a more of either an urgent upbeat tempo or sad theme but the lounge feel/style of music feels like a generic sappy lounge song playing while I'm shopping at the supermarket. And the cheesy lines from Aerith("please, I'm begging you, lend me your strength") or Tifa("Cloud, it's ok, you've saved me before, now it's my turn), -- that's to be expected but from Cid, that's so unlike Cid, sounding like a chauffeur -- "yes ma'am, no ma'am..is there anything I can do for ya, I wanna help". Oh, please🙄😒🥱🤦♂️ the trailer left me a bit disappointed. Hopefully, the next trailer before the launch will be much more exciting.

When I first heard this song, it kinda reminded me of the ending scene of FF16. Not sure if they are gonna play this song again at the end of the game, as it seems that this will be in the golden saucer but lets see.

I'm never going to understand this. FF7R was such a bizarre butchering of the original. It kept getting more and more bizarre. It's getting warped beyond recognition to the point where it is completely silly and people are hungry for it.
Upon first playthrough I understand what you mean. I am a die hard of the original, and when things in remake didn’t happen I questioned it as well. But after a few months post remake and watching hundreds of videos of people’s reactions and thoughts behind it. I get it, I get what they’re trying to do. The original will always be sacred to the fans and will remain untouched. I think when the trilogy is done, we’ll appreciate the remake project even more.
