Thanks for your clear explanations and illustrations. I tried to learn this from readings but too much detail made it confusing and I just didn't find the time. Now, I'm ready to learn more.

Love your video and your teaching style. I'm trying to figure out if I have a muhly grass (most likely Muhlenbergia capillaris, it's definitely a cultivated plant) or a Juncus--maybe J. inflexus. I got two clumps in some planters I purchased. Darned things aren't blooming and no sign of earlier flowering (Juncus would've been finished by now here in NC). Anyway, the leaves don't seem to have a solid pith, but J. inflexus is supposed to have "interrupted pith" -not sure what that means. The leaves are a bit blue-green, but I'm not trusting that yet. I forgot to try to unroll the leaves--which I think might work for muhly grass leaves.
So I was just very impressed with your video--geeking out on the botany! I'm a horticulturalist and landscape designer, but I LOVE morphology and taxonomy. Thanks

This was helpful, thank you! I am studying for a final exam. I very much enjoy the photo examples of the structures.

Thank you. Let me know if there is a specific topic or plant you would like to know more about
