  • Chant specialist Malkhaz Erkvanidze, PhD, demonstrates Georgian traditional tuning with two students Vakho Tsetskhladze (bass) and Davit Abramishvili (top). After moving through the scale in various harmonic permutations in three voice harmony, they begin singing the chant Tsmindao Ghmerto (Holy God) in several musical variations originating from the Gelati monastery school.

    Love it!! I love the way the Georgians sing Christ is risen at Easter (Pascha) time.
