This is actually so fascinating...I find Graceful Stage and Cog In The Machine so interesting though. Mainly because of the black and white theme. Now, the only place I can recall having a black and white theme is the World of Goo Corporation. While not full on world, it has always intrigued me due to how pleasently weird it is. It has this mystery surrounding it, something about the fact that the whole place is infinite in all directions and that it's said that there could be something up there, or atleast what the goos are wondering, as implied by the Sign painter (as far as I remember). But I'll get to the point and stop rambling, I feel like these two levels could have been a part of the World of Goo Corporation. Maybe, at one point in development the World of Goo Corporation could have been a full on world just like the rest. Now, this is just a theory, but it could be pretty interesting if that was the case. (Edit): On closer inspection and after watching the second video on the scrapped levels, I've realized that these levels might have been intended for Chapter 3 Cog in the Machine. Which is actually very interesting as well, cause maybe the factory in Chapter 3 could have been styled after the World of Goo Corporation, or maybe it WAS the World of Goo Corporation! Eitherway, it's pretty awesome.
For real. Those level designs were sick and really make you think (not to mention one of them actually using the drool gooballs which I feel got a bit underutilized if I remember correctly), albeit they are pretty complicated and so maybe stood out a bit from the other levels that appeared.
‼️MILD SPOILERS FOR WOG2‼️ Seeing the signs ending with "- The Sign Painter" is so refreshing after playing WoG2 (in WoG2 the signs don't end with it because the person writing the signs isnt the original sign painter)
Ok I just checked So it has a different name, its called third wheel And the circles look different And the final circle is made easier since you dont have to time it well, instead of 1 platform on the wheel it has 4 smaller ones
@@djm334-goomodding No, it was from way way back in the day. I haven't really followed World of Goo 2 even after finding out it exists (a few months after its release... >_>). Though maybe it was just a screenshot of Thrid Wheel... I'd have to check out the magazine again.
most of the levels are from the prototype version of the game, that had no art, then people used GooTool to remake them. probably scrapped early on since they didnt fit the theme or where too hard / confusing
I know that the Straight Up level was scrapped due to being combined into Upper Shaft, which was originally just about lowering the bomb structure with ivy’s (which at the time contained gooballs instead of a bomb) with no explosion or second part with the spikes

Long Bony Road and Mission Mildly Plausible should definitely be considered for the sequel

Yeah a ton of these are cool
I will look for it once I buy the game!
Those levels werent there sadly
But there are many levels in the second game that are both long and challenging. Like Ground Shaker. God that level was so cool.
Gotta love how they actually used the full version of the perpetual pump machine song and not a 5 second loop
You mean... Regurgitation Pumping Station..?
@@NeclirGo, yeah my bad
@@ApertureSciencePsycho nah, it's a long name to remember, so it's okay
in Part 3.
Forget the last of the Goo Balls…
These Water Goo are always the same.
All equally fun…
All equally delicious.
-The New Sign Painter
What level does this go to?
It'd be cool to see some of the more unique ones repurposed for the sequel.

I read “Mild Spoilers” and still clicked on it tf is wrong with me 😭
I remember seeing these in the original 2007 trailer!
The thruster goo balls are the little purple balls that shoot fire
I love seeing the early versions of levels and seeing what was different
This is cool, I’m surprised I’ve never seen them since I’ve modded world of goo for while
I also know where the thruster gooballs everyone uses in mods came from
@@lowestpaper4186They were once for the lost moon chapter iirc
They’re used in the sequel now but only in 4 levels
Wheels of Morality is in the game... albeit slightly different
True
this name level is references from cartoon "Animaniacs"

It looks exactly like The third wheel
It’s an old version
1:06 More like spitting stage🤮
7:14 weels of morality is playable on the netflix version
No!
I think it's just similar to one that is in the game, the spinney things look different
Ok I just checked
So it has a different name, its called third wheel
And the circles look different
And the final circle is made easier since you dont have to time it well, instead of 1 platform on the wheel it has 4 smaller ones
Wheels of morality seems to be a (very close) beta version of the third wheel, which is a level playable on all versions
Are these the actual levels or recreations made with gootool and how did you find these?
they just hearted and didnt respond so they are probably lying and used gootool
They are obviously recreations
Yes I Like Video scrapped levels!
THEY SHOULDVE SCRAPPED THOSE DAMN FROG LEVELS, AND THE BALANCE BEAM ONE
Don't say that to my little frog friend:(
hey, don't you lump Misty's long boy road in with those other ones, that level was a banger
Server Farm was pretty mid of a level, tbh
Those purple goo balls are called thrusters
Are these actual unused world of goo levels?
Yeah
These aren't scrapped; they're from GooTool. These are fan levels.
They are based on levels that went unused, a lot of these originated from images from before release
@@djm334-goomodding I definitely recall seeing a screenshot of "Whistler (Slideshow version)" in a magazine.
