@@elitemarketerclub We used to not be but the idiots on the Supreme Court changed the rules again on the death penalty. Many have been taken off in the past few years. I know one was taken off after being found guilty twice for kidnapping and murdering his wife in front of witnesses and on the phone with 911. Bcuz it was 10-2 death, he was re-sentenced and they took him off death row. He planned it and there was a lot of proof. He was a felon with kidnapping and rape charges previously. Truly sucks.

As a corrections officer, let me tell you, you would not believe how much contraband gets introduced into facilities by lawyers. May the officer rest in peace and prayers to the family. I’m retired from corrections, even in today’s ways behind the walls, life with no chance of freedom is a permanent sentence that plays with the mind. However, I do understand the perspective from the victims and their family.
I still remember the look on the convict’s face when he showed me a pic of his girl sitting on her bed wearing next to nothing.

@@rcharmel9316 I only know of American and Mexican Prison Systems due to Family and Coworkers who's siblings that had served in Mexican Jail & Prison. Philippine and Okinawa Jail & Prison are no picnic. I was stationed there in the 80's.

It matters not to me if someone is schizophrenic at the time of committing murder. Many of these people choose not to take medication to control mental health issues. I have seen it many times over in my career. If you take a life without justifiable cause, you forfeit yours. I can assure you the murder victim doesn’t care what a killers mental state is at the time of the kill. The result is the same.

And I,too have questions about its effects on the human body, some likely yet to be determined. Mental health medications are also a choice for many, unless they are determined to be unable to make those decisions.
Schizophrenics should all live on their own island. Nobody wants them free to kill, maim and torture others. Even if they have this condition, they never stay on the meds. That's premeditation.

I've seen multiple LEOs make the same 'temporary' incompetency or Insanity claims so that they can get away with the murder but still keep their job. I've seen it work numerous times only within the last 10 years has the legal system stopped going for it

Other countries have very different set ups where Defendants sit. Often lawyers arent anywhere nearby. Defendants Are behind a plexiglass type seating area. Look up European courtrooms.
@Chuckle Chuckle No ! We cannot let them normalize internet court. It’s not right for a person to be muted, bad connection, fuzzy picture, when they are fighting for their freedom. And it’s only right for the defendant as well as the jury to be able to really read his mannerisms and get to see his non verbal attitude. Also if convicted the family n victims doing a victims impact statement needs to be able to look them in the eyes. There are so many reasons why it they should be their it should be a legal right.
