I am a FAA contract wx observer working at BUF airport. I find your comprehensive wx briefings & detailed synoptic meteorology most useful & helpful in my job here.
Save it for you Show Showboat
Appreciate the comments! Hope to get some updates from there when things pick up again.
I’m an airline pilot and use your videos to get a thorough “weather briefing” on what’s going on in the US before I go to work. Thank you for doing what you do.
Would love to hear more from the pilots view point!
Thanks! I have thought occasionally of doing a 60-second aviation weather segment, though I'm not sure how useful it would be as the videos are released toward the end of the flying day.
@@ForecastLab I typically will watch the latest uploaded video to get a good idea of what’s going on across the U.S. as an impact in one area of the US can have knock on effects elsewhere.
Last night was sporty getting into LAX thru the weather system hanging out over SoCAL. We had to dodge isolated cells coming in from the north then had +/- 10 knot wind shear on final as we were landing to the east from over the coast.
An aviation video would be great, especially with forecast turbulence areas winds aloft, and wx impacts to major airports. However I appreciate the videos you currently produce and know they must take a considerable amount of time to produce. Thank you for your time and happy holidays.
Thank you Tim for the great forecast for the SW part of the country. Also thank you Greg for the footage over Texas! Looks like a mild patter for the conus this Christmas! Appreciate the extra coverage along the West Coast. Cut Off Lows are troublesome to forecast!
Yes they are indeed... thankfully the models have come a long way. Even in the 90s those cutoff lows were very unpredictable.
Thanks Tim, Great show
I can't believe how mild the temperatures are! It's very mild in the UK +11oC
A strong Jet with a west south west influence.
Thanks Greg for the closing footage 😊
The weather looks nice ☀️
Greetings from Central Texas. Always a joy to view your brilliant maps. The colors, contrast, choice of data sets, etc really make the info pop. The renderings are easy on the eyes, and ultimately help to visualize what's going on in the air. Thanks Tim for your hard work and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Thank you... feel free to send suggestions how to make them look better, I'm always hoping to improve them.
Extremely mild here in N. Idaho...lack of mountain snow pack...as you said, typical El Nino pattern...really hoping we're not going into a drought cycle. Thanks Tim, good wishes to you and yours🎇
I hope not either... good to see the west getting what rain they can.
Looking forward to El Nino's arrival here in the SW in the days leading up to his birthday. Great presentation with a nice brisk seamless cadence. Not a step missed. Ho Ho Ho
Thanks... we'll check out the Southwest again tomorrow!
Love the pressure maps for different altitudes that explains a top down view
It is pretty interesting... I might see if we can go up to 1 mb tomorrow and work our way down.

You do a great job of defining the remote details and the connecting them to the global scenarios. It tells a great weather story. Its very engaging.
Humbug I want to feel spring 😊
Yeah, at least our gas bill will be pretty cheap so there's that.
I wish I'd had these videos when I was flying the line!
Yeah, Greg and I talk about how great it would have been to have those devices 30 years ago.
Thanks Tim great coverage tonight wow yes lots of terrain to go over…😂
Nobody I follow goes to maritime unless a hurricane is heading up there.
Very mild here like it was last ENSO. 2002/3 grew in a new Nicklaus designed course and it was incredibly mild that year.
Ski hills are struggling big time.
Heck even the buds are beginning to pop out already Dec 20th…! @ 48 & 123😳
Appreciate the update!
