Nice to hear that the field was devoid of brews not because the format is solved, but because participants didn't have enough time to cook. I hope next time around WotC schedules their pro tour and set release dates better
Jim himself initially said he was excited for the short turnaround between set release and PT, but everyone eventually realized one week was just too short. Two weeks sounds like the sweet spot.
Even then, typically you see very few innovation at protours, people usually stick to the tried and true.

Yea def need more since they expanded the possible card pool by 4 sets with the longer standard.
I feel like Gleaming drake would be a natural fit for this deck. 2 artifacts and a clue for draw or junk

I actually have mad respect for streamers, because I have some idea of how hard it is to talk and do something even semi complicated. Especially to make it relevant and interesting. It's sort of like trying to talk about yourself in a dating app, while playing scrabble.

This is such a sweet deck-I wish yall had a little more time to brew. I enjoyed the pro tour, but a lot of the decks felt fairly quotidian. Another week or two wouldve allowed the Thunder Junction cards to really percolate.
i feel you on the brews not quite making it. spent 3 hours yesterday working with some people online to make a zirda high noon list in timeless built on abusing and beating opposing mana drains. the problem is you literally can't beat burn or deal with planeswalkers

I'm obsessed with simulacrum. Been trying any brew I can think of. Having most success with white blue green. No red. Assimilation aegis and glass casket are essential. Standard on arena is so fast currently with 3 or less mana creatures. At least that's what I'm running into.

I love Jhoira!!! I have a brawl deck with her an Simulacrum that goes ham!! I'd love 2 try it in standard but I don't have enough mythic wildcards 2 burn on 3 more Simulacrums. Sad that they made so many key cards for the new brews as mythics. It's getting expensive being a free 2 play player lol
In terms of prep strategy, would it make sense to have a 'benchmark' deck and then test your top 3 brews against that?
I think the "content with content creating" joke flew a little high for Jim. Lol. Still the best though.

Add white for some get lost removal and nahiris for the spice... ditch the forge
You have to cast skitterbeam to get the tokens. Blinking it doesn’t get any more copies.
