Ah Yes! The Church of the EPIC Fail! Where bad decisions are a Mothaf#ckin religion! I loce Chris Titus and i wish him the best. He is a brilliant comedian, and he's gone through more sh#t in his life and his previous marriage than anyone deserves. I wish he'd re-pitch his show to netflix cuz Fox or as i like to call them "Fux!" really screwed him over. It was all canceled over the fact that they wanted his character to cheat on and breakup with his girlfriend, but he refused because "These are 2 imperfect people who screw up, but they love each other and make it work. If I break em up then they're just scumbags like everyone else."
he did, it was a damn great job too......i remeber watching the TItus show when it was on tv ...best laughs ever ..Netflix and titus should make a TV-MA version of the show :)
@@MrSparda1989 I believe that Mr Titus was making a joke about black men having big dicks, like "It turned black, and I don't mean it turned into a huge pulsating totem pole the size of an anaconda in my pants, one that devoured small animals whole!"
This is why I love Titus! I wish his TV show ran for more seasons then it did. Chris, you are the man! I always laugh and forget about my worries when I watch your show. 😅 Two thumbs up from me! 👍👍
I haven't laughed this hard in a VERY long time. Both the portrayal by Stacy Keatch and every time you have talked about your dad in your stand up always resonates deeply with me. No matter what he does or how mad I get at him, all it takes is listening to you talk about your dad to lift the weight of the mood off of my shoulders so thank you for that.
I really like the fact that his father never said "one day, when things are better..." or anything like that. My mother's motto was "Money's tight right now." So I was always waiting for the day money wasn't tight. I grew up and started making my own money and money was always tight. And I've had to completely change how I think since leaving home 10 years ago because money will always be tight.
So THAT's' who it was at the Roadster show! The rest of my time looking at the cars was in a state of puzzlement. Such a shame it left the Bay Area, let alone Oakland.
I can relate, But instead of a car show it was a coffee shop and he yelled at the top of his lungs, EVERYONE looked at us liked we were crazy. Then I said: "Sorry, I don't know this man!" But as soon as I say that, my father says: "Excuse me? Who was the one that stuck their d-" "And i'm gonna stop you right there" and I got up and left the shop. End of story.
Mine said sat in traffic as college kids walked by and my dad said what about them? We live nr the college why dont u fuck them...bad enough right? I'm not downing anyone who needs help in that department. Personally, from being an 18 yr old at the time & also an 18 yr old when he spoke to me about it, was horrified. Also, the 18 yr old in me still marvels at the irony of him speaking to me about it at McDonalds, right next to the ball pit. (Mr. Titus, could you have written it better? 😂) It also amazed me that my Dad spoke to me about it, when you consider the man was less than helpful when I started my period @ 9. I knew nothing about what was happening, thought I had "the cancer" my mom was always worried about & my 4th grade teacher came to find me & called him to come get me. Then the principal told him... Not embarrassing at all. Then he drove me an hour to the Army hospital where no one still told me what was going on, and I was convinced i had cancer because after a painful exam I found out from the Army doctor I was still a virgin & menstraiting. My father thought you only started after having sex for some archaic reason... But hey, I got an ice cream on the way home so... Fun! So I am allowed to need therapy I can't afford from personal issues with my 2 tour Vietnam vet drill sergeant career military father. It doesn't mean I didn't love him- because I do very much. It doesn't mean I don't respect him or think he's less of a man. Actually, being raised dysfunctional as hell was a blessing I'm grateful for. I'm funny as fuck, I laugh when others cry & things that make my friends sit down & wring their hands over... I look at & sail on through then look back & yell "C'mon! Quit being a wussy!" & after some therapy... Here come the Normies. I'm like an unpaid, unhired tour guide through Dysfunctional Dystopia, the Fight Club of all theme parks. So I guess what I'm saying is "Quit being a wussy..."
Your dad sounds like he was one hell of a guy. He raised you into one story telling son of a bitch! The good times you must have had in the garage still stick with you I'm sure. You are a legend man much respect!
I wasn't expecting to feel this way today but I found this video. Have to say thanks. As someone who had two parents exactly like this, who both felt as they got older they could say pretty much anything to me. There are personal things both my mom or dad said I wish I could unhear but it's still burned into my mind. This includes having my own dad whom was of questionable character that I could both love and hate. Thank you for brightening up my day.
In my story, I barely mention to my father that my expanding prostate is making life uncomfortable for me....and he (even though he is 30 years older) looks at me like I just told an unfunny joke. Or like he has never heard of any man experiencing the side effects of an "aging" prostate. My father NEVER discussed sex, ever.
There is something about car shows that make all things right with the world. I am glad your dad lived until he died. There is a lot of people there souls died long before their bodies.
One of my favorite things about California is In N' Our Burgers. The fact that the franchise had to close the first restaurant in Oakland really tells you how things got out of hand in that city.
I sometimes get damp near the eyes over remembering her tough as nails ass...but I shrug near my face and remember who she raised! I'm beyond tough thanks to that woman who was always laughing...and I find the idiocy just as hilarious! Love y'all both for raising some hilariously messed up, and amazing, kids!!!
Titus I love your show and the courage it took to go over all those things you lived is amazing, please keep being a point for inspiration for everyone that knows you, cheers!! I am going to see one of your show no matter what :D
Titus's car design is sick - trained from nine years old. also, anybody got his story about the family discussion and exchange on how to bury his late dad?
Some truth there, man. Now my dad's not a drinker or smoker, but he says some things you just don't want to hear. And he does some things you just don't want to see. Keep in mind that I'm the daughter and my brother and sister-in-law live much closer to our folks. He just turned 92 in May, he's been married to my mom for almost 66 years and she turned 91 in April. He has embarrassed me for at least the past 10 years...and I've laughed about it later. The funniest and most embarrassing thing he's ever said, he said to my son, who was nearly 30 at the time and is single. I wasn't in the room, but I was close enough to hear every word. I'm just glad I wasn't drinking anything, because he asked my son if he masturbated. I didn't hear my son's response because I was trying not to laugh out loud. Earlier in the day, Dad had questioned me about my son's "sex life" and I had said that it wasn't a subject that my son was comfortable discussing with me...thank God. I just had to share, so that you know that it's not just you or just fathers and sons.
When he talks about his dad. I picture Stacy keitch. I'm sure I misspelled his last name.... But he was the one that played his dad in his TV series... Aka Mike hammer. On his own TV series.....
I was watching the Titus TV show recently I went back and watched the entire thing a second time and when I got towards the end I couldn't help but think damn I wish this show had went longer but I got to thinking ... I really liked Bill Burr's F is for Family show and had wished it went longer and I think Christoper Titus might be able to pull something like that off ... Like if Titus did an animated TV show for Netflix I'd watch it I think it'd be pretty good
Dang ten minutes of assaulting my senses. Thanks for the flashback. Glad I'm not the only one whom dad said," don't be a wussy!" Boy is dumber than a stump. Not to mention my older brothers.. one tried to off me with a broken coat hanger in the ear when I was 8/9.. hello..

Every time you talk about your dad I see Stacy Keach
