      You think this is ridiculous, check out ristridi's youtube page. Look up his playthrough of Last Rites/Loved to Deth (the only good cover of that on RUclips) or his version of Vektor's Pteropticon. Makes RIP material look like childs play.

    Very Good I work a lot as a guitar teacher and when you slow down stuff in low frequency's one sometimes hear wrong. I agree that the first verse riff begins with f# after the f. I usually pitch music up one octave when working with low frequency is much easier to hear especially when guitars are tune down just when you slowing down for example with ASD.

    Great lesson mate! Such a great song, and as you said in the end with the fiddly part, Megadeth is all about the left hand. Dave is a master of fast triplets and stuff. And this is a great tune to practice the fretting hand. I was just starting to learn this song yesterday, found a decent tab, which turned out to be slightly wrong but I didn't realize it until I saw this vid. Thanks! You also explain very well and take your time to do that!

    • @Violence1320
      @Violence1320 7 лет назад

      Megadeth is all about the Treble and Palm Mutes.
      The spots that Dave decides to Palm Mute are fucking perfection in any Megadeth song.

  • @TheMadArab138
    @TheMadArab138 3 месяца назад

    I'm almost there. Still having trouble transitioning in to the tricky riff at 10:14 AND getting the timing right. I can play the riff perfectly all day long though, I just can't transition into it smoothly enough from the riff before it. The other part I'm still having a bit of trouble with is at the end at 22:41, but that's sort of the last riff that I'm learning too, so I think it's just more practice needed here. But that tricky one? GODDAMMIT!!! lol

    • @metalbryan101
      @metalbryan101  3 месяца назад +1

      @@TheMadArab138 good to hear you’re getting there. Just don’t let the speed distract you. Play the riff as purely as you can and as slowly as you need to. Practice like that and like magic… the speed will come!

    Just name the notes and the chords will ya! It's so much quicker than rattling off a stack of numbers. If people don't know the names of the chords they are playing, then it's time they learnt. Good lesson aside from that.
