In my opinion upsc should conduct exams for all india services and central services separately. So that candidates have clearity in which service they wanted to land. More over pre could be conducted twice in a year

We lossing engineers not because of UPSC ..because of our our government apporoch towrds our scientists and engineers. They not appreciate theirs talent and appreciate him thtats why most of our engineers going abroad even who doing job in PSU and ISRO , BARK etc. why we give our major projects to other country’s engineers …do our IITS not cabable to produce such talents.

UPSC IAS age increase to 40 years for general category
If government could produce more lucrative jobs for engineers with perks like cse then why would young engineers waste their efforts on cse they'll work in their respective field
But there is already cse level job for engineers , I am talking about IES

Another day of thanking god that i didn't fall for this trap of an exam and wasting my most precious time of life. I'm preparing for GMAT and going to settle abroad.
Giving answer key after final result, by doing this upsc is putting a blanket ban on power of judicial review and remedy from court.
We have seen in year 2022 nearly 8 questions were dropped because options were wrong. Those 8 questions have eaten an attempt of a candidate.
This shows how irresponsible people are sitting in UPSC and they have no tension because without answer key no one can challenge the upsc in court to seek remedy .
The biggest problem is exam centers which are given by upsc..... comitee should raise this point also. Exam would be held in every districts of every states .. so that, candidate could be easily appear in exam hall

Not because they are brilliant,they are qualifying because of CSAT paper which has technical questions related to maths.non maths candidates get eliminated in CSAT paper 2 despite scoring high marks in paper 1 which is used for merit,please understand the issue sir then write anything. Jai hind

There should be a process like CAT where rechecking of Mains answer script at Rs 4000 or decided amount should be done. Because then it would be easy to understand how paper checkers are marking answers and where each candidates are lacking and thus candidates will be able to work in a channelised direction. Thus it will serve two purposes. Number 1 : It will be helpful for candidates in times to come and Number 2 : Through 50% of the money generated certain amount of administrative expenses pertaining to the exam can also be met.

People studying Engineering also increased from 2011 as engineering increased , so the percentage of selection also increased. But they should take care of people who are mis-using IIT and AIIMS seats.

Engineering topic is totally useless because people choose engineering as their backup option and if we talk about jobs even IITs computer science students enter in civil services examination and I think this committee has not done any research they just took topics from google and send it to UPSC.

Going by the panel's recommendations, the country can lose out on good historians, sociologists, political scientists, future CAs, entrepreneurs if those graduates become bureaucrats. What about that?
However one thing that can be genuinely demanded is the reduction of the level of toughness in the CSAT paper which especially this year was highly tilted towards science and IIM guys.
Also one more thing to be noted is that, India has a lot many number of engineers than any other graduates. Total graduates to UPSC recommended candidates ratio is the thing to be pondered upon instead of going with absolute numbers.

Correct, they says India will loose potential engineers but Nearly 15 Lakh engineering graduats india produces yearly, so if 600 gets selected in CSE then rest 14,99,400 will take care of there sector (engineering)

Every year if 1000 aspirants get selected as officers, the county doesn't even recognise the intelligence of the rest hardworking candidates as assets to the nation

Isme engineers jo select ho rahe ya prepare kar rahe unki koi fault nhi hai.
Problem is there's not many career scopes available for humanities stream students in India, pursuing a career in academics has become difficult to aspire to at both state and centre levels for many middle class students. Therefore leaving upsc and other such services, the only options for such candidates. Also as a side note, public service administration deals with issues pertaining to society as a whole... Subjects which fall under the humanities discipline. Thus it's imperative that a candidate has a great understanding of these subjects. I, of course, am not suggesting that the exams should be tilted in favour of humanities students, but this extra emphasis on high level csat questions won't be doing a majority of the deserving candidates any good

Engineer prepare for whole gs from scratch.They don't get any benefit of their graduation in gs.Then why can't others prepare for csat.
India is globally digital, we have core engineering subjects in optional now it's the high time to add one more optional subject "Computer Science Engineering"

Issue is that most of these engineers are not by choice, they became becoz of societal trend or family pressure. Their true interest might not be even in engineering or technical things. So it is not that correct to assume that nation is losing engineers.
They might be really more capable as civil servants than engineers.
Sahee kaha mam, bhot sare students are forced into engineering by the pressures of their respective families, including me. When they are able to make their choice, the interested engineers jumps into civil service preparation .

Hello sir. We engineers are able to study dry subject like Social Studies syllabus in prelims and as we as whole mains. Y social students are lagging in clearing or just qualifying CSAT paper.
Plz dont blame doctors or engineers to top the prestigious exam.
Because of least Job vacancies in IES and as well least age limit. Engineers and doctors are appearing for IAS IPS etc.
If we get opportunities in our field we would not apply for Civils.
Yeah Social science is easier for all but Maths is all about using techniques, and needs better guidance which I think most of the students don't have. Good teachers can make maths easier. I belong to the arts background but I like maths because my teachers at the High schools were good enough.
Also India needs more investment in science and tech and better career opportunities for doctors and engineers as they are also important resources of the country.

Only few percent engineer are from iits. Others are from nit iiit and private organization like i am from noida and currently in it field though I cleared jee mains and gave advance

Engineers are entering in CSE due to lack of seats in ESE exams and Less conducting ( in 1-3Years) of State Engineering Exams... in which they could Imply their Knowledge according to their field.
According to Data presented by UPSC for Engineering background students of 60% in which 90-95% of those 60% even don't have their Engineering discipline Optional opt. By them, this data must be reconsidered and presented again by Showing proper stats of Engineering Students with their Engineering Optional which will be answer for Committee's Points for their working and Mentality
Absolutely 100% if they will increase the seat in ESE we will never come in CSE ......even they remove railways from ESE in the name of IRMS and give that seats to CSE😥😥😥😥😥

Also the committee should record their interviews and a disclaimer to be given, if ever you are caught in inappropriation of funds or corruption.. you would be dismisses from service no question asked and a minimum of 15 years rigorous imprisonment.
First of all through UPSC u get to serve the nation directly. Furthermore there are lakhs of doctors and engineers across India who are unemployed and not because of UPSC. Thirdly UPSC is among the toughest examination with no technical part as such and still engineers are able to crack it and that shows there perseverance, risk taking, confident mind, and not backing down which is actually the service requires. Fourthly even IAS officers get post in fields like in drdo or cwc or power boards etc where technical knowledge can play a role....lastly even during covid times we have seen IAS who were medical background also could relate and mobilise helped in many ways.....lastly if large no of upsc students are engineers and medical students, dont look at there degree they have cracked the most toughest examination with sheer will serve this nation right.....i think instead of making this nonsensical report they must take note of large no of engineering colleges especially pvt colleges which is serving degree has no value...UGC must limit the no of universities and colleges across nation and must create or promote centre of intelligence to at least one university and pvt college both in engineering and medical field.

जब तक यूपीएससी में cset को शामिल नहीं किया गया था उससे पूर्व भी बहुत बेहतरीन प्रशासक देश को प्राप्त हुए हैं .. इसलिए यूपीएससी द्वारा सीसैट को हद से ज्यादा वरीयता देना तार्किक नहीं लगता है... वर्तमान समय में सीसैट संबंधित विवाद को ध्यान में रखते हुए यूपीएससी द्वारा यह कदम उठाया जा सकता है कि वह सीसैट को हद से ज्यादा जटिल ना बनाएं तथा सामान्य अध्ययन और सीसैट दोनों के अंको को मिलाकर प्रारंभिक परीक्षा का रिजल्ट घोषित करे.. जिसमें सीसैट का स्तर उतना ही रखे जितना एक सामान्य प्रशासक के लिए आवश्यक होना चाहिए..

we have to think about engineering restriction once ,Every year many engineers leave the country because of lack of oppurtunities and Artifical intelligence is also on the boom If such restriction is placed many intellectuals would leave and brain drain continues which is not good to country and govt wants self reliant country ,make in India. .shifting from technical stuff to humanities for the preparation is also a difficult task ,Its entirely new world ,Y dont people understand that . csat level can be optimized but should not be removed from exam. y cant humanities background aspirant study little math I agree this time the question paper is difficult.
ONE VERY IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATION:- The candidates qualifying for the interview should be given preference in private sector as well because the scheme of examination is such that if a person has qualified mains examination then he definitely possesses an intellect better than the average people.

Depends if upsc doesn’t make wrong keys like 2022 n paper of tukkebaji then ur intellect will come into logic..here if your tukkas r great then only u will be in the list..
Then it means one who has not prepared is average, isn't it ......buddy come out of this illusion, everyone has different choices and circumstances, and it's not certain that one who has qualified a exam can be better employee for a company...... There are other factors also ... bookish knowledge works till exam only not in real and living world....there it is experience, expertise and socializing skills works.

सर में इस समय ncerts complete कर रहा हुं लेकिन कई दिक्कत आ रही है.. वे निम्न है
1. Conssisteny नही बन पा रही
2. Ncert ke साथ standard बुक को कैसे साथ में कवर करे
3. Ncert polity को topic wise नही पढ़ पा रहा हु जैसे geograpy, history को topic wise पढ़ सकते है लेकिन पॉलिटी कैसे पढ़े समझ नही आ रहा
4. Daily task complete नही हो पाता
5. कई समय लग जाते हैं बुक complete करने में

The fact that makes upsc cse one of the greatest exam, is it allows every graduate to sit in the exam, and the selection is purely done on how the person performs in the exam, no 10th 12th board marks or college marks are part of merit. I don't know why everyone wants to restrict engineers into the service we need to understand that engineers can think in a very versatile manner and to have them in the service is great. Also approx 500-60p engineers get selected every year, while millions of engineers graduate every year, so no core engineering talent is getting wasted, other engineers are already working in the core domain

I too was also a topper. I achieved a remarkable 95% in my 10th-grade exams from the UP Board. Afterward, I chose the Arts stream as I aspired to pursue a career in civil services. I continued my academic journey and obtained an impressive 91% in my 12th-grade exams from CBSE. Following my completion of 12th grade, I was admitted to BHU, where I pursued a Bachelor's degree and achieved a notable score of 88%. In 2021, I successfully cleared the CDS examination. Despite these accomplishments, I was unable to meet the cutoff this year. Does this mean that my knowledge is lacking? Have I not put in extensive effort and dedication???...

Not an easy to crack any competitive exam for technical students or humanities students. They select as per their talent and skills. And we can’t say students has not skill to deal with any kinds of services to Either IIT or humanities students. Now a days of you see UPSC is more competitive then IIT and NIFT. If we see the subjects to study we can realise. It’s not an easy to change. Now either humanities or technical student’s be focus on preparation.

Exactly brother. But ye commission samjhe tab to Itni closely justify and categorise kaise kar sakte hai. They select candidates as per their respective works. They require such kinds of personality which is suitable for their services. And such kinds of personality can’t buy in any market or any institution. This will develop by own self. So here shouldn’t categories. It’s basic things. I think here we need to be mature enough then this all point. And now time to be focus on plan and best of luck all students for next attempt.
