Well done TT. Gonna be doing this soon, gotta change the freewheel and chainring. With power coming in on the left I am hoping it will be easier than Himiway types where the power goes thru the freewheel.
Thanks for this video. If/when you try putting the Tanus armor on the Magicycle, please do a video. I did the front tire on mine and it was a real pain. It took two hours since the Kenda tires were so tight to get on/off the edge of the rim. I had to buy a 14 inch Tire Levers Spoon Set, Heavy Duty Motorcycle Bike Car Tire Irons Tool Kit. Even with 3 of the 14" spoons it was extremely hard to do. Maybe if I warmed up the tires in the sun for a while they might have been less stiff.
While it is a cruiser style bike with a Reention KIRIN form battery, that seems to be the extent of the similarities. It has a different frame, motor, controller, battery size and voltage, and screen. I am pretty impressed with the build quality.
Thank you I appreciate that! I haven’t done one specifically for the Magicycle, but the process is the same as the Himiway. Here is that video: ruclips.net/video/V936CyOfee4/видео.html
Thanks for the video! Do you know where I can find replacement washers for the rear hub? I lost one of the special washers necessary to set the axle in place.
You might try searching Amazon. I used “ Ebike rear axle washers” and found this listing. You will need to verify the size prior to ordering. amzn.to/3vQJwzo or if you have time to wait, Aliexpress has this listing. www.aliexpress.com/item/3256802956249340.html I hope this helps!
The calipers are lacking on this bike. In the near future I plan on doing a video showing how to change out the pads and adjust the Nutt brand calipers. After that is done, I will change out the calipers to a Tektro Aries brand caliper and rotors that Magicycle has provided me. I will show that installation process and how to adjust them as well. The Tektro Aries brand brakes will be installed at the Magicycle factory in future production runs. (I’m uncertain of the timeline)
Hi Benny, do you have the same washer configuration as I show on the video? Is anything bent? derailleur? Another thing you might consider, sometimes the crank arm hasn’t been tightened properly. And that can move the chain inward some as it is tightened.
I haven’t done it. But Citizencycle swapped out the motor in his escape. I would think it would be a similar process, even with a different brand bike. ruclips.net/video/4XbQ70EGmEs/видео.html
Someone removed the outer circlip from my ebike wheel. And it is bent and neither do I know exactly where it goes. Will it be ok to ride my bike without the circlip ?
Mine was a pain I have bad arthritis so I literally had spent hours trying to get it off until finally I said, screw it and then took another two hours just to cut the damn thing off. It was completely bald.

It seems like it should be easier since you don’t have to mess with the cable!
Thanks for the chance to win the rack. Pretty sure that’ll fit on my Ocelot Pro. 👍🤞🤞🤞
2 year old video….

I will do another video on the install. But I do have a video from my other bike if your interested.

Could you do a video about the front forks? Adjusting them, adding air, what’s the ideal settings on the front shocks?
I will in the future.
Great video Tim, it is interesting just how similar that bike is to the Himiway.

Great channel & tutorials. Thank you! Just ordered the bike stand from your link! BTW, did you end up doing a vid on the Tanus tire liners?
Thank you I appreciate that!

Thank you for sharing, are you planning to change to better stopping brakes or are you good with the stock brakes?

Great video. I haven’t taken a tire off a bike in years. I do not look forward to my first flat.
It’s really not bad. Just take you time.
I could not notice in your video. Was there a flat washer behind the washer with tab that fits into frame dropouts?
fast forward to around 7min 15sec into the video. I show a close up.
I hope this helps!
Thank you
Hello TT will you know what size of wrench is use for the back "nut" is it 17mm?
I’m sry I don’t know.
Do you know about upgrading the controller to 305 AM? If that's possible, in which one works for let me know.
Sorry, I don’t.

Tinker I'm having a problem with the chain rubbing the speed tension screw in 7th gear. Can't use 7th gear

Do you know how to swap out the rear hub motor i'm getting a replacement and need to know how to do it

Unfortunately I am not certain what the circlip is. Maybe if you posted an image in one of the Facebook groups someone could give you a better answer.
Hi my name is Thomas I was wondering on the magicycle 26 inch 52 volt cruiser, does it have one or two torque washers
As you can see in the video, there was a torque washer on both sides of the rear wheel.
@@TinkeringTurtle thank you so much I just had my tires replaced by a ebike mechanic and he messed my sons bike all up
I’m sorry to hear that. Do you know if the torque washers were on the bike before it was taken in?
@@TinkeringTurtle yes they were and would you know where I can purchase some new ones the bike shop left one out

Do you have to take the calipers off 17:18
No, but it does make it easier to get the back tire back on.
Tannus liners suck, flat out is a much better product !!!!
Flat out is a good product for sure.
Mine was a pain I have bad arthritis so I literally had spent hours trying to get it off until finally I said, screw it and then took another two hours just to cut the damn thing off. It was completely bald.
sounds rough, I’m sorry to hear that.
